Our large 87 sq.m. apartment, consists of 3 double bedrooms, a spacious living room, a high quality bathroom and fully equipped fitted kitchen. It is located in a quiet location with a wonderful view from the balcony over the mountain landscape, yet is only a few minutes walk from the village centre. Also included is garage parking, additional parking spaces in front of the house, access to a cellar for the storage of sports equipment and a lift to the apartment.
Hi. I first came to Tschagguns in the Montafon valley in 1971 as a 4 years old, when my parents took me and my sister on our family skiing holiday. We returned almost every year, and I have been taking my own children since they have been old enough to ski.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2006
We are all totally in love with the place and the people, and in 2006 decided to buy this apartment. Since then we have come every winter and summer to spend our holidays here, to ski in the winter and go mountain trekking, swimming and biking in the summer. Its just a fantastic, fun area to enjoy time together as a family and with our friends.
We love sitting on our balcony quietly enjoying the spectacular views of the valley and surrounding mountains.
We use the apartment as our own family holiday apartment and have decorated and equipped it accordingly. We hope that you will notice the difference in character and quality between our apartment other purpose-built, characterless tourist apartments, and will feel at home.
The property provides everything described by the owner. It is really like borrowing a friends apartment as there is a homely feel about it. Lots of space and whilst it has a dated feel, the modern bathrooms, appliances, free Wifi and provision of an excellent sound system means it has All mod cons.
The apartment is a little out of the village, so really best to have a car, but the centre of the village is a pleasant walkable distance (less than 10 mins on foot).
We spent a long weekend skiing and there are more than plenty ski miles over the 3-4 local resorts all within a 10-15 min drive.
Tschagguns is a quiet village (as is Montafon in general), so don't expect to party into the night. There is a limited après ski scene, generally at the nearby the bottom of the various lift stations, but you will find some good quality restaurants in Tschagguns/Schruns and one or two bars for an after dinner drink or two.
All in all, great value for money and whilst we were just 3 persons, It would still have been comfortable with 5-6.
The apartment was very good and was as described on owners direct site- clean and well maintained. We were made welcome on our arrival and shown round. Information on the apartment and area was provided. It is set in a very scenic area and local transport is easily accessible. We enjoyed several walks in the mountain areas making use of local cable cars . We also visited local towns and ate in the local village. We are planning to stay at this apartment again.
We have now stayed twice in August at this perfect summer family holiday location. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and perfectly maintained. There is plenty for both the kids and adults to do in the area (swimming, walking, crazy golf and the Golm Coaster to name but a few) and excellent places to eat out in Tschagguns and Schruns.
Special interest holidays:
In summer the Montafon valley offers a wide variety of mountain climbing and hiking opportunities. Mountain trails and mountain huts are distributed through the region. Guided walks are available. Throughout the summer nearby Bregenz (65km) boasts a unique music festival.
The nearest airport is Friedrichshafen in Germany which is approx 70 mins drive. Other close airports include Zurich (90 mins), Munich (150 mins) or Stuttgart (150 mins). Airport taxi services are available.
Bludenz is 10km, Feldkirch is 25km and Bregenz is 65 m distance from the apartment.
The apartment is registered with Aktivpark Montafon which offers substantial reductions on many leisure activities including swimming, skating, curling, bike and ski hire. The region also boasts several outstanding spas and superb restaurants.
Bookings are made by email or phone contact. A non-refundible deposit of 20% is required to secure the booking. Full payment is required 4 weeks before arrival. A variety of payment methods are possible in either Euros or UK Pounds.
Changeover usually on Saturday, or as agreed by exception.

Prices are for the property per week in Euros for up to a maximum of 7 people, including a final cleaning charge.
5% discount for over 2 weeks and 10% discount for over 3 weeks. 1 week's cleaning charge included.
