About the property

Ground Floor & South Facing

Parque da corcovada is conveniently situated a short 7min stroll form the famous 'strip’ with all its lively bars and restaurants. These privately owned apartments are ideal for families or couples looking for a touch of luxury and high standards. Our immaculately presented apartment has patio doors which open onto furnished south facing terrace and shared pools. The old town of albureira is a short 5min taxi ride. The fully air-conditioned apartment is lavishly furnished to an extremely high standard, UK TV English channels includes BBC, ITV, channel 4 & 5. 93 TV channels in total plus 36 Radio Stations, cd & dvd players, plus 42ins flat screen tvs. Free air con & Wifi in both apartments. For added privacy the apartment has video entry systems. Airport transfers & welcome packs can be provided on request. Our two apartments can sleep up to 8 people but if your party exceeds this other apartments in the same block are available through are local owners network, ask for details. About Barbara

We have been travelling to Portugal all our married life and developed close and long lasting friendships with locals within the Algarve area. Our properties our managed by one of these friends, a British couple Billy and Lorraine Hamilton who have been living and working in the Algarve for some years now and proved themselves invaluable when organising apartment maintenance plus airport transfers for our guests. We have also forged great relationships with local restaurateurs and can recommend lots of lovely places to eat, just ask when booking, we will be happy to provide you with literature on all local interests such as water parks, day trips and beaches.

Why Barbara chose Albufeira

We have been travelling to the Algarve for over 30 years and although we have visited other countries we always look forward to returning to Portugal.

We bought our apartment new and of plan in 2016, the reason we chose Parque da Corcovada and Albufeira was for its central location within the Algarve plus the apartment is perfectly positioned in Albufeira and within easy walking distance to all amenities. The apartment is ground floor and was chosen for their ease of access, large south facing terrace, no small balconies. The terrace is fully equipped with sun beds, loungers, parasols and patio table and chairs. It also has the added advantage of small well maintained garden.

What makes this apartment unique

When staying at our property you will benefit from a private complex with no club reps or distractions just luxurious accommodation in a quiet and well managed condominium. The complex has its own security, cool underground parking for those of you who hire cars and like somewhere safe and secure to keep it.

The apartment is fully equipped with everything you will need for a safe and relaxing holiday. Sun beds plus loungers, parasols, beach/pool toys for small children, DVD player with a large collection of DVDs, there is also an on site DVD and games store available to guests (small deposit required when renting payable in store).

By far the most visited area in Alufeira is 'the strip' this street has lots of bars and restaurants, is only a 5 mins walk from our properties.

"The stay at the property was excellent. You could not ask for anything more in the apartment, it had everything we needed. It is ideally located for a walk to the 'Strip' or a short taxi ride to the Old Town. The air-conditioning was a Godsend considering the mini heatwave that occurred during our stay The apartment was clean and well kept and is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in during our travels. We will definitely be recommending this apartment to friends.

Notes on accommodation: The air con in both apartments also provides heat, for those cooler nights in winter. There are safety deposit boxes/safes in each apartment and also a small first aid kit which located in the kitchen. Mid stay cleans are not included in our normal pice but can be added if requested but at an additional cost. Smoking is restricted to the terrace area only. Outside: Both apartments have south facing terraces and receive the sun from first light to late afternoon. Designer patio furniture, sun loungers and parasol's included.

Fantastic apartments

This is our second time staying here in Stephen and Barbara's 1 bed appt.And my sister and family stayed in their 2 bed appt. July 2016. We have all booked again July 2017 these are fantastic apartments beside the pool. the strip , beaches what more could you ask for .Beautiful decor home from home. Stephen and Barbara cant do enough for you. Any problems they sort asap. Yes there is a road near by much noise no...We slept really well.. We are so looking forward to returning this year as we know the quality we are getting in these apartments.Thank you Stephen & Barbara for a wonderful stay get again .x

Lovely apartment great facilities. Superb terrace south facing with sun all day.

Great apartment. Few minutes stroll to Estrada De Santa Eulalia with some nice restaurants and bars, same to the strip and Pingo Doce main supermarket. Old town 30 mins walk or €5 in taxi. Apartment has great facilities, good wifi and TV choices and the private terrace is superb with the sun on it all day long and the pool about 30m walk. Met the owners Stephen and Barbara when there really nice and helpful. Highly recommended.

Not happy

Apartment backing onto a motorway trucks and cars traveling all night long the noise was frighting no sleep any night kitchen and floors groggy

Owner's Response: I must say we have never had such a negative review, we have emailed this guest for clarity but have had no reply to date. Clearly this guest had issues with our 1 bed apartment I just wish he had of contacted me directly during his stay so I could understand the points he made regarding cleanliness. We have returning guests year after year, next year 2017 high season is already fully booked with repeat guests, some have taken the time leave positive reviews on this web page and also in our guest book in the apartment. Great apartment

We were very happy with the apartment and great outside space. We had everything we needed and plenty of room. The location was great for us, 5 mins from the strip and a nice walk to the old town when we ventured further. We were able to stay later on check out day which we very much appreciated as we were not flying until 8pm. We would be more than happy to stay again if we return to Portugal.

Spacious apartment

Lovely modern apartment with everything you could need. Comfortable beds, quiet air con. The TV didn't have many UK channels but that wasn't a problem for us. The wifi was of a good speed and connected easily on the patio. Large patio but didn't feel too overlooked, only a few steps from the pool which always had plenty of free sunbeds. Had the sun on the patio from 8am until 5pm, longer by the pool. Mini market close by, strip maybe a 5 min walk. Please be aware it is by a main road so there is traffic noise although you are not looking directly at the road because of the gardens. The apartment is very secure with electric shutters. I would visit again.

"Just Perfect"

Just returned from another fabulous holiday at this excellent apartment and once again it was perfect, as described it is fully equipped and finished to an exceptionally high standard with all the mod con’s you need for a home away from home with sun. It has air-con, english television, dvd/cd players and the wi-fi is a real bonus.

The spacious patio has sun loungers, umbrella, table and chairs for outdoor dining and is a real suntrap in the mornings, shaded in the afternoon which was lovely if you wanted a break from the strong sun, the gardens and outside space have recently been fully landscaped and are spotless and well maintained. Electric window shutters mean the apartment is totally secure.

The pool area is quiet with a good sized pool with separate childrens pool and ample sun loungers for guests at any time of the day.

This apartment is situated in an ideal location, just a short walk to the Strip, beach, restaurants, supermarkets or a 10 minute taxi ride to the old town.

Stephen & Barbara make the booking process simple and straightforward and are always contactable by phone or email.

Would highly recommend this holiday apartment to couples, families and all those looking for a relaxing break. (we will certainly be back)

Albufeira boosts 23 stunning white-sandy beaches surrounded by miles of beautiful red stone cliffs and rugged coves. The nearest beach to Corcovada is Praia de Santa Eulalia or Praia da Oura, which are 1km away, within walking distance, but if you prefer there is a bus stop at the complex, the bus will take you to within a 5 min walk of the beach at Praia da Oura. The same bus will also take you to Fisherman's beach at the old town which is close to lots of shops and bars.


Faro is the nearest international airport which is 40 minutes drive away. Airport pickup can be arranged on request at 70 euro return for up to 4 people and 90 euro form 4 to 8 people.


From Albufeira, Faro 40km, Lagos 45km, Portimao 35km, Tavira 60km, Vilamoura 22km and Lisbon 256km.

The apartments are a short walk for the strip (bars and restaurants) the old town which is well worth a visit is a 30min walk, taxi's are available at all times of the day and cost approx four euro.

Albufeira has been, since 1960, the first town in the Algarve to be developed for international tourism due to its 23 stunning white sandy beaches, to the miles of beautiful red stoned cliffs and the rugged coves. The region was elected "Established golf destination of the year 2006" by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators.

Albufeira offers far more than just sun and sea as it still retains much of a small-town charm. Each night fishing boats set off from the beach, returning with fresh fish to be sold in the local markets. Bars and restaurants still sell authentic food and Portuguese wine at reasonable prices. The colours, flavours and aromas create unique moments of gastronomic tradition, supplying the necessary energy to all sporting opportunities, mainly in the golf courses designed by international masters, and the water sports supported by a state-of-art marina. Further notes for golfers: Being centrally located, Parque da Corcovada is a convenient base for golfers. The five Vilamoura courses are only 15 minutes drive away.
