Converted farmhouse which has maintained its rustic style together with providing a modern comfort which is typical of Gozo farmhouses. This magnificent building possesses immense charm and character and is situated close to the heart of the village. The property layout comprises of a good sized entrance hall/cool sitting area, large fitted kitchen combined with dining room and living room overlooking the swimming pool with a sunny deck area. There are 3 double bedrooms (main and second bedrooms with en-suite facilities). Main bedroom offers a terrace area with nice views of the church in the village and the second bedroom has a balcony. Third bedroom is situated on the ground floor. The house is well furnished with a combination of pine and rattan. Ceiling fans are installed.

I now live in Gozo and lived most of my youth in Gozo. I love Gozo and part of my heart will always remain there. The island is lovely and seems to have something for everyone. I really enjoy visiting the beaches and finded secluded quiet beaches to sit down, relax and enjoy a good book.

Gozo is a beautiful place and still maintains its natural way and is not spoilt by heavy tourism. The beaches are beautiful and there are several bars and restaurants to accommodate everyone. There are some really nice places of interest from Calypso Cave to the Ġgantija Temples in Xaghra. Gozo has a very relaxed atmosphere and tourists like to walk and enjoy the culture.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
The property is just a short distance by car to the famous beach on Gozo called Ramla (15 minute walk). there is a further beach called Marsalforn Bay which is approximately 1.7 km away from the property to. The property is not overlooked and is very spacious with a good size pool. For those interested in the Ġgantija temples, these are about a 5 minute walk from the property. The Ġgantija temples are the earliest of a series of megalithic temples in Malta. The Ġgantija temples are older than the pyramids of Egypt. The property benefits with offering 3 spacious size bedrooms, the two bedrooms upstairs both have en-suite. There is a bedroom downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs which all benefit with shower, sink and toilet. There is also a toilet and sink downstairs.

We have recently returned from a wonderful week staying at the Poppy villa. It was spacious, well equipped, great location (once we managed to find it!); a stone's throw from the village square yet sufficiently tucked away to provide privacy too. The pool was pleasantly larger than we were expecting with plenty of room for the six of us to cool off during the day. We didn't hire a car but were able to make use of the regular bus services (stops just a short walk away) which took us everywhere we wanted to go around the island; Ramla, Dwerja, ferry point to Comino and the Blue Lagoon (very busy there but our tip would be head left rather than right when you get off the boat to avoid the hordes), Marsalforn and Victoria. Plenty of food supplies available locally and a choice of restaurants around the corner, in front of the church. Perhaps not so good for vegetarians but the meat eaters among us were happy. Snorkeling was fine for us but for the more experienced, a car might be useful to reach less visited stretches of coast. All-in-all a great holiday in a villa which we found to be good value for money.
Coast/Beach: The beach is approximatey 1/7 kilometres. The nearest beach is called Ramla bay. Marsalforn Bay is also approximately 2.5 kilometres away from the property. Travel: The nearest International Airport is Malta International Airport at 42 kilometres away. Transfers to and from the property are available upon request at an additional cost. Distances: Gozo is a very small island and nowhere is too far. If you wish to explore Gozo as a whole it would be beneficial to hire a car to explore the Island. Gozo offers the traveller much to discover that range from prehistoric temples and historial events that have made Gozo what it is today. Many people refer to Gozo as the land where time stands still and in many ways that is still true. Further Details: Amenities such as local shops, restaurants, banks etc. including a small petrol station, are all available in Xaghra. Booking Notes: Minimum stay: 1 week (additional nights available). Booking deposit: £250 (non refundanble), balance required 8 weeks before arrival data/travel. Payment will only be accepted in Pound Sterling or by telegraphic transfer. Credit card facilities are also available through Home and Away website. For more details please contact the owner. Prices are per week and are inclusive of a complimentary welcome grocery pack on arrival, water and electricity. Rates apply for a maximum of 6 people. Changeover Day: Changeover dates are flexible. In most cases, check-in time is at 16:00 and check-out is at 10:00. Depending on availability this could be altered slightly. Notes on prices: Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
