The apartment is part of an exclusive development of just 4 apartments (2 ground, 2 upper) and 3 villas. Our upper floor benefits from a vaulted ceiling. It offers 2 en-suite bedrooms which sleep 4. There is a long open plan, lounge/reception area with kitchen and French doors to allow access to the large veranda area. The landscaped gardens feature a large swimming pool with adjoining sundeck. This is exclusively for the 4 apartments. There are loungers and a large canopy for extra shade, as well as a barbecue area. A local mobile phone is provided for your personal use. The entrance to Jolly Harbour Marina and resort is just a few minutes walk. It has the largest and finest marina in the Caribbean, a fine 18-hole golf course and a sports centre with swimming pool, tennis and squash courts. There is a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars, and a supermarket. For all its many amenities, Jolly Harbour remains a sophisticated and tranquil setting.

Why Adrian Bonnington chose Jolly Harbour
We chose to have this property built for us so we could decide on the layout and decor. We particularly chose this site as there are only 4 apartments with beautiful gardens and an amazing pool.
What makes this Apartment unique
One of the key decisions for us was choosing an upstairs apartment. This gives a feeling of much more space because of the vaulted ceilings. This also makes it cooler and we also benefit from a pleasant cooling breeze when opening doors at the front and rear of the apartment. However, the best bit about upstairs is the view - you look across open views towards the sea. Perfectly positioned for Amazing Sunsets!

My wife and I booked this apartment for 7 days to follow on from an all-inclusive resort stay of 5 days on another part of the Island. From the meet and greet on day one to the goodbye handover and prearranged (by the local property manager) taxi to the airport on day 7, we have nothing but positive feedback.
The apartment was exactly as described on the site. A spacious two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with an open plan living / dining / kitchen, and extensive veranda to enjoy those magnificent Antigua sunsets from. The pool although small is perfect for a cooling dip on a day when you wish to give the hustle and bustle of Jolly Harbour, or the beach a miss. We only used it on the final day of our trip as the location of this apartment allows you explore all of the island with relative ease. However, a car is highly recommended if you wish to travel further afield than Darkwood Beach or Jolly Harbour. Although taxis are plentiful, but regular day trips to St John's, English Harbour, the Rain Forest, Stingray City, (BTW our favourite excursion, an absolute must) etc. can become a rather expensive habit. The local car rental company recommended by the apartment's owners were first class. We called at 09:00 and had a car delivered to our door buy 10:00. They even allowed us to off hire it at one of the beaches meaning we could drive there with laden cooler bags and only have to worry about the walk back. We like to walk so a few miles is acceptable to us.
The apartment is well equipped with everything you could possibly need (even down to a cool bag and recyclable shopping bags. Plus a local mobile phone which is a real boon. There was nothing we could not find or did not have in the apartment.
The air conditioning and ceiling fans are more than sufficient to cool the apartment on hot nights & the BBQ on the veranda means you can enjoy a totally alfresco evening if you choose. Well maintained gardens surround the property as it is at the foothills of of a forested area, you have the joys of a sea view one way and a green treed view the other way.
We did not use the dishwasher during our stay but can vouch for the robustness and quality of the oven, microwave and the washing machine along with the coffee percolator, kettle & toaster. As I said, the apartment has everything you need.

Very good place to stay close to Jolly Harbour Marina.
The apparement was clean and quiet. Everything was there. The pool is clean. The washing machine is not working very well and I also suggest to buy new skillets, but all the others appliances are very good.

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY IN ANTIGUA
We had a very enjoyable stay in Hamilton House, the location was ideal, near to all amenities, ie supermarket, restaurants, beach, but far enough away for it to be a lovely quiet spot!
Yasmine was very helpful and we could ring her anytime with any queries.
Plenty of fresh linen, towels and beach towels, which was a plus.
The only negative being the water pressure in one of the bathrooms, it was very low and not very good for a shower, however the other bathroom was fine and we used this one.
I would recommend this property to a friend or relative!
Apartment was just right for the 4 of us. As it was September the area was very quiet and not much was open in the harbour. There was no one else in the other apts so we had the pool to ourselves apart from an Antiguan tarantula (non poisonous) who went swimming twice. Loved the island and the beaches were fantastic. Most of the local beaches did not have any restaurant facilities as they were all closed down for the low season. The apartment had everything we needed and very good wifi . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We stayed at this apartment for a month over the Christmas period and had an amazing time! The location is great right next to sugar ridge and quiet. We joined sugar ridge gym which has great equipment and facilities with air con! The apartment was faultless! Robert the manager was very helpful and provided fresh linen and towels regularly. He didn't try pushing trips and excursions on you! However you will find some of the locals do but a polite no usually does the trick. The locals are so friendly! All the restaurants we went to were very good some don't look much but the food is great although service may be slow! Would definately recommend this apartment and would return again and again!

Coast/Beach: Close to one of the best beaches in the world! Antigua is about 14 miles long by 11 miles wide and is renowned for it's 365 stunning beaches and miles of picturesque coves. There is a great selection of restaurants within easy reach. Many of these are by the sea and have stunning views. Travel: VC Bird International, near St Johns, 20 minutes drive. Car hire is recommended. We can offer attractive rates through a local car hire company. Ask for full details. Distances: 15 minutes from St Johns. Just a few minutes walk to the Jolly Harbour Marina. The beach is a few hundred yards away and was recently voted one of the ten best beaches in the world! Further Details: The entrance to Jolly Harbour Marina and resort is just a few minutes walk from the apartment. This extensive complex offers the largest and finest marina in the Caribbean and superb recreation facilities. A fine 18-hole golf course and a sports centre with swimming pool, tennis courts, and a squash court, cater for the actively minded, whilst the commercial centre has a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars, and a new, modern supermarket to sustain the needs for everyday living. For all it's many amenities, Jolly Harbour remains a sophisticated and tranquil setting to while away the holiday hours. Everything on Antigua is within easy driving distance. Travel a few miles down the stunning coastline and you soon come to Fig Tree Drive. Here you drive through the amazing rain forest. You can take a 'tree top trail' through the forest canopy. As you head further south you come to English Harbour & Nelsons Dockyard. Loads more places for eating out and a great selection of local stores. A trip to the capital, St John's gives a wonderful insight to local caribbean life. A wonderful mix of local markets alongside designer outlets: Heritage Quay - Duty Free shopping for brands such as Rolex, Cartier, Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger, Diamonds International etc.. Redcliffe Quay – for elegant restaurants set in shady courtyards, and beautiful handcrafted pottery and gifts. Cricket is a passion in Antigua. If you are a cricket fan you must visit the new Sir Viv Richards Stadium or The Stickey Wicket West Indies Cricket Hall of Fame. The other passion is Sailing! For sailing enthusiasts try and catch Antigua Sailing Week or the Antigua Classic Yacht Race. If you like to party there is plenty to do in Antigua. Loads of live music and if you can make it for Carnival then you are in for a real treat.
