Great Vacation, aReal Home Away from Home!
The 7 of us truly enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything was great! The pool was amazing to come home to, the kitchen was perfect for us and the rooms were all good also. Its about a 15 min drive into Sozopol, which was convenient and also a short drive to a few different beaches in the area. It was the perfect place for us to spend a week in the summertime. The road is a little bumpy and the ocassional whiff of the neighbors Cattle can be a tad annoying as well as the roosters. I recommend Sonja gets a fan for each room also. But, we still would rent here again and recommend to ours friends. We all had a great time here! The outdoor BBQ area and poolside were awesome! Overall, this is a great vacation rental for the price and the space. Its a perfect place for a group of friends or family to enjoy a vacation together and still have personal space. The number of bathrooms and bedroom are a huge bonus. Sonja's dad was great and check in and out were smooth. we loved it here!
Thank you for the lovley feedback. We would love to see you again next summer.
Great property in a quiet location
You will get what you see-the photos give justice to the property. The house and the swimming pool look exactly as on the pictures. The property is extremely well maintained and clean. We wet there with the extended family -the grand parents, brothers and two very young kids (a toddler and a new born baby). The layout of the house gave everyone privacy and we were gattering in the common areas. We had quite a few family meals outside/bbq and were taking our coffee in the morning by the swimming pool. Occasionally we would dine out in nearby old town of Sozopol which is a must to visit for people who are in the area especially during the cultural week Apolonia-end of August, beginning of September.
I would strongly recommend the place for families looking for a quite location to be yet close to the beaches and the livelier Sozopol.
Spacious delightful villa ideal for a large group
We arrived late in the evening after a long drive and were shown to the property by the owner's father, who was available whenever we needed him, looked after the pool, watered the plants and gave us a big bag of home grown cucumbers for our salad. We were very impressed by the spacious accommodation, comfortable furnishings and tasteful decor. As a group of 10 family and friends, both English and Bulgarian there was plenty of space both outside around the BBQ and in the lounge for us all to get together, but equally the layout over 3 floors gave everyone their own space. The villa is set in rural surroundings on the edge of the village with views across fields to the mountains. It was rather lovely to wake to crowing cockerels and hear the bells of cows, goats and sheep in the surrounding fields.
The villa is approached down quite a rough road, although there seems to be work in progress to tarmac a lot of the side streets in the village. It looks like there is a rather nice restaurant in the village centre but it wasn't open while we were there - probably too early in the season. We generally ate out in Sozopol. The old town is picturesque and quaint will a good selection of shops, restaurants and cafés and is only 15 minutes drive away. Good parking down by the marina and lovely restaurants along the harbour front from which you can watch the sun set. Everything very reasonably priced. Also visited the long beach at Primorsko, about 40 mins along the coast and the Thracian sanctuary of Beglik Tash - a must for anyone interested in the archaeology of the region or who enjoys walks off the beaten track - some lovely way marked walks here. There is a kayak safari on the river and quad biking both close to Burgas, which were great fun. Details can be found on TripAdvisor and Facebook. And you just have to visit the fantasy that is Ravadinovo castle - a fairytale castle with beautiful gardens 20 mins walk from the villa. It is a work in progress but well worth a visit.
We had a wonderful week. Were made very welcome. Would definitely recommend this villa to anyone. A car is essential and having Bulgarian speakers in our party was very useful.
Special interest holidays: Horse riding and fishing. We have 4 bikes in the garage. Coast/Beach: The local beach is 5 min drive away. Travel: Nearest airport is Burgas 35km. Use of car is recommended. We provide transfer from the airport. We can help for renting a car. Distances: Nearest town is Sozopol 5km. Further Details: There are few shops and restaurants in the village, but big supermarkets you can find in Burgas 35km away. A lots of coffee shops and restaurants, nights clubs in Sozopol just 5km.
