Apartment in Lorgues, Var, Provence - Located on Edge of Market Town Surrounded by Vineyards, Only 35 Minutes from Med

Lorgues is perfect for all types of holidays and the position of the apartment only adds to it. Sit on the balcony and sip a glass of chilled rose made at one of the many local vineyards. The shared swimming pool is for guests use, if you just want a lazy day by the pool or just wonder into the town with it's cafe's and restaurants and sit and watch the relaxed French way of life. The Mediterranean coast and lovely seaside town of St Maxime are 35 minutes, from where you can take a short ferry ride over to St Tropez. Also not to be missed is the Gorge du Verdon offering all types of water activities including white water rafting or visit the lake Ste-Croix for sailing and breathtaking views. Our apartment offers a high standard of accommodation in one of the most beautiful places in France and can be enjoyed by all ages. The area is also wonderful for walking holidays out of season with breath taking scenary.

About Sally Brown

Richard and I bought Les Bastides our apartment new in April 2006 and use it as our holiday home for ourselves and our children. We love the area and the people in this part of the Var and have made many friends during our holidays. Lorgues has a wonderful climate all through the year and although very hot in the summer months you can still enjoy sunshine at any time, it is not unusual to have lunch on our sunny balcony even in February! Spring and Autumn are also a great time to visit. If you choose to rent our apartment we are sure you will have a very memorable holiday.

Notes on accommodation: We are happy to accept children who are well behaved. They must be supervised around the pool at all times. Sorry - no animals. This is a NO SMOKING apartment. Outside: There are gardens surrounding the apartment and a shared pool which is for residents use only (not after 9.30pm). Children must be supervised in the pool area and the gates kept closed for safety. There is adequate parking within the grounds. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen and towels for use in the apartment are provided. (if you wish to have beach towels there will be a charge of £10 per person) There is an end of stay cleaning charge to cover the costs of laundry etc of 60 euros left locally

Beautiful apartment in lovely market town of Lorgues

This really ticked all our boxes - everything you could ask for a perfect family holiday in France. The apartment is very comfortable and has a lovely balcony which is a perfect spot for eating all the delicious finds from the local boulangerie and market. The shady gardens and pool are great for cooling off from the heat. Lorgues is a lively market town with plenty to explore and a great base to explore the region. It surpassed our expectations even after seeing the website photos! We definitely would come back here.

A really lovely place in inland Provence

We had a great week in the apartment . The apartment itself is on first floor but with a lift for those who need it. We needed the stairs to work off the patisseries bought from the very handy boulangerie patisserie just a few minutes walk away. The apartment is well equipped with all you need for self catering but good restaurants are not far in the village. Having all our meals on the balcony which overlooked the pool was lovely. We were often the only users of the pool and the only time it ever got busier was after school with children who live in other apartments. A plus was that most of the apartments are habited by local people so we really felt we were in France!

Great Apartment

A great well located Apartment, very clean smart and with everything provided. The Balcony was very pleasant for sunbathing, enjoying a meal or just relaxing with a book. Lorgues is a lovely village with a great Market and we had a very enjoyable holiday there. One little thing though, it was important to us there is no Teapot! Would most definitely return.

Coast/Beach:

The apartment is within easy driving distance of several beaches, St Maxime, St Raphael, Frejus, St Tropez are the about 35 to 40 minutes away. IIes d ' Hyeres the islands off Hyeres and the Toulon coast area are accessible by boat and are quite famous for diving and wild life.

By train the coast is covered very well, the Station of Les Arc is only a 10 minute journey and is a perfect way to travel around to, Monte-Carlo, Nice, Canne or to Marseille.

Travel:

Travel to Nice 1hr, Toulon 50min or Marseille 1hr. Les Arc station 10 min and the TGV from Paris.

Distances:

Nice 1hr, Cannes 45min, St Maxime, St Rapheal and Frejus approx 35min.

Further Details:

Shops, cafes and restaurants all available and easily reached in Lorgues.

This is a perfect area for walking holidays, the weather out of season usually offers beautiful blue skys during the day time.
