The apartment is set on a hillside with wonderful sea and mountain views. The sun shines on the balcony throughout the day. Amadores beach is just 10 minutes away on the local bus and can be seen from the balcony.There are pools on top of the apartment block also on the lower levels. Living area has a sofa bed a tv with free to view stations,example BBC World,Fox movies,Magic music,CBS action,Sky news and other news channels.

About Matthew Kearney

I live in Ireland with my wife,we have been married since 1981 and have 1 son and 1 beautiful grandson.

We have been to Gran Canaria many times over the years since our honeymoon, we just fell in love with the island and the people are so friendly.

Reason for buying in Playa Del Cura: The view is breathtaking.We went in search to buy an apartment in 2005 but just couldn't find anything suitable, and then one day a friend told us of the Monsenor apartments and that was it,from the apartment you could see for miles with nothing blocking your view, just to sit on the balcony and watch the boats go by is a real pleasure.

There's also a nice golf course nearby and a driving range.

The main reason for buying the apartment in Playa del Cura was the amazing view & fresh air, no matter where we looked at other apartments something was always blocking the view of the sea. It's just a lovely area.

Outside: Patio has 2 sun loungers, table and 4 chairs. The complex has 4 swimming pools, tennis court, squash court. Restaurant on complex also do deliveries. Lovely restaurant called the Bistro down the hill where the food is lovely and very reasonable, also a Spar supermarket/chemist. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are provided. Housekeeping available at 40 Euro per week extra. Payable on arrival. Other: Large balcony with canopy. Sun loungers, table and chairs.

Just Booked our 5th stay!

As this was our 4th stay we know the apartment well. Its very clean and well equipped - a real home from home. We never fail to love the views from the terrace and love watching the sun come up over the mountains in the morning.Pam is on hand if we have any problems and the bottle of wine and water is very much appreciated. We have just booked for 2018-that must say it all!

Stayed at Matthews apartment for 11 days.Fabulous really clean,stunning views from great balcony.Spent many nights sitting outside with a drink looking over the lights of the town.Would definitely recommend.Thanks Matthew and Annette.

Amazing view

Stayed here for two weeks and couldn't fault the complex except on occasion the smell from the Spanish sewage system was evident. Overall a great stay, away from the main busy centre of Puerto rico which suited us just fine as we didn't want the noise of discos etc. at night, but either a short taxi or bus ride away for entertainment. A fabulous restaurant a short distance away with food to die for the guatanamo, although the complex restaurant was very reasonable and very tasty if you wanted to eat in and the bar at the top was cosy. The apartment had one of the most comfortable double beds I have ever slept in and equipped with everything you could need. Swimming pools were clean and non crowded. Would I stay here again-yes.

Lovely water park in Taurito just 15 minutes by car or local bus.

Playa Del Cura beach just down the road. Local bus to Amadores man-made beach (1.20 euros), which has lovely white sand. Amadores takes about 5 mins to get to. Puerto Rico has a nice beach and you can take the bus to Anfi Beach where it has lots of nice shops and restaurants and a beautiful beach and nicely laid out gardens.


Las Palmas is about 40 mins drive by motorway. A really lovely city, well worth a visit. Puerto de Mogan, a fishing village, is about 20 mins drive. Be careful if driving. Good roads but very narrow and great scenery. Be sure to bring your camera.


Puerto Rico is about 10 mins drive. Mogan is about 20 mins drive and Las Palmas is an hour's drive where you can shop till you drop.
