About Kim Hackett

My name is Kim Hackett, I have a wife, Sue and 2 children aged 22 and 24 – After visiting Umbria by chance for the first time about 15 years ago, Sue and I loved the area so much that we decided to buy a holiday home in Umbria. We researched the area with ourselves and the children in mind, thus making it a safe environment for them as well as being a lovely place to relax. We have enjoyed many holidays in our home and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we still do.

Kim Hackett purchased this castle in 2004

Why Kim Hackett chose Todi area

We first visited the area in 2003 and stayed near Marsciano. The area was fascinating. At first glance it appeared quite rural, however a closer look revealed a most interesting region - beautiful historic villages, towns and cities; restaurants that served good quality, reasonably priced food; Shops with seasonal, local fruits and vegetables and superb Olive oils; vibrant markets selling local produce; Friendly locals who say "good morning" to everyone they meet. We chose Monte Lagello because it had a welcoming feel and all the facilities one could need and most of the owners are Italian.
