Book with confidence

This is an extremely clean and spacious house with all the necessary facilities to make the guests feel completely at home. The oldest parts of Amsterdam are no more than 20 minutes away by 1 simple tram journey (the tram stop is about 7 minutes from the house and only €2.80 for a single trip, less if a 48 or 72 hour travel pass is bought) and the accommodation is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood with a supermarket, chemist and other shops only a very short walk away.

Ron, the owner, is a really nice guy and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay just outside a truly beautiful city.

Thanks Ron.....we had a great time!

Great house

  • 5 of 5

This house is very nice and a great place to stay. We had a group of 6 in the house and there was plenty of space in the 4 level house. The house is in a nice neighborhood outside of city center...but a grocery store, coffee shop/bakery are a short walk away and the team which will take you nowhere you need to go in Amsterdam is right down the street. Ron is great to work with and I'd recommend the house for your stay

Peace and quiet in a typical neighbourhood

  • 5 of 5

Lovely house, a bit outside the centre of Amsterdam. However, access to the city is very easy, with both a tram and a bus going directly to the centre.

The photos on the site are accurate, giving a good impression of the house. There are the usual (narrow, winding) stairs, which are a pain if you're not used to them, but are very much the norm in Amsterdam. The description of the house is accurate, with the exception of the layout. There are two full bathrooms - but one bathroom is downstairs, i.e. two floors DOWN from the main bedroom. For some people this might be an issue.

For us, we were very pleased with the house. It is very peaceful and quiet, double glazing means the house was very warm and quiet. We had an experience in a more typical residential neighbourhood rather than a touristy hotel. Access to the city was not a problem - in some ways, this is even a positive as it forces you to plan your days properly.

Ron, the owner, was very cooperative in terms of working with us, and our rather bizarre schedule for arrivals and departures. He was very prompt on the phone with any questions we had, and kept the house very well.

Definitely one to recommend.

May Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family group of 5 adults stayed here for a week, and we absolutely LOVED it. The photos are completely accurate - the house is immaculate. We were very comfortable, and impressed with the quality of the home and the amenities both in the home and in the neighbourhood. Two grocery stores within five minutes walk, ATM and tram station within 5 minutes too. We took Ron's advice and got weekly tram passes and rode the tram from the house to downtown and elsewhere all week - very convenient! Because we stayed in the neighbourhood instead of hotels, we got to meet a few local people too, which was a real treat. We highly recommend this home for a vacation stay, and hope to be back very soon! Ron - Dank U wel!

Beautiful place!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 stayed here for two weeks in August. The pictures are completely accurate as the place is well maintained and tastefully decorated. We are used to staying in very small apartments in Amsterdam and we were so happy to have so much space, and the little backyard is an added bonus and perfect for eating outside.

We loved the secure (and free!) parkade for our car which we used to visit family in a nearby village as well as take a day trip into Germany. Getting into Amsterdam was very easy with either the tram (5 min walk) or bus (1 min walk) and there are a few grocery stores within a few minutes walk.

Ron was very friendly and easy to deal with and I would recommend this to anyone who wants a larger place outside the chaos of downtown Amsterdam and wishes to explore more of Holland. Also, we always felt very safe walking in the neighborhood which is a definite plus!

Greatest vacation in amsterdam!

  • 5 of 5

We came with six people, great contact with ron prior to the vacation itself. I never a host this helpful and nice, and whenever there was a problem, ron was just a phone call away to help us.

As we arrived, we found a cute 4-story home for our vacation. The house is a little outside the city's center, but thats what we were looking for. In addition, it is very easy to reach the city by tram, or one of the two bicycles in the house (you shouldn't forget to bring a lock).

We are looking forward to our next visit in Amsterdam, hopefully this house ain't booked then. I would definitely do it again. Thanks for everything, Ron.
