Why Maxine Jewkes chose Torre-Pacheco
The resort location is wonderfully convenient. 10/15 minutes drive from the airport and coastline and set mid-way between the historic city of Murcia and the coast, with spectacular mountain scenery only a few minutes drive away where you can walk and cycle in the blissful green peace and enjoy panoramic views, bird-watching etc. The resort facilities are excellent and so you can stay here without a car and enjoy swimming, tennis, golf, bars and restaurants, and a health club within the Intercontinental Hotel. I love the surroundings on the resort as it is beautifully kept and a delight to wander around. I like to visit the local markets to buy fresh locally grown produce, and there are many of these on most days of the week, locally and at the coast.
What makes this Apartment unique
This apartment is located in an extremely convenient spot, close enough to the town centre to walk alongside the golf course (when play has stopped) to the clubhouse in 5 minutes, and about 10 minutes walk to the supermarket (if that). It overlooks pretty peaceful gardens and has a wonderful view over the 18th green.

Clean tidy appartment
M y wife and I stayed for 1 week in August and found the property very clean and tidy and fulfilled all our needs. We was able to visit are grandchildren who were staying nearby and return and relax in the apartment as well as explore the area nearby. The owner Maxine was also very helpful and easy to communicate with.
La Torre is a fantastic place to stay
Beautiful apartment with everything you could possibly want for a relaxing stay. Excellent location and facilities. Immaculate condition. Would highly recommend. We will definitely hire again
Many thanks Julie for your kind review which is much appreciated. I shall look forward to hearing from you again in the future and be delighted for you and the family to stay any time.
Stunning apartment in beautiful resort.
Wonderful apartment, beautifully clean and immaculately furnished. We enjoyed the balcony which was designed to a high standard. There is a large king size bed and twin beds which can be pushed together. The kitchen and utility room were well equipped with a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The golf resort it's self is well located being just 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the city of Murcia which was great for shopping and also eating out. If you feel like staying in the resort, there is a large pool just a minute away which we used daily. The pool is stunning and very well maintained. We would highly recommend this apartment.
What a lovely apartment !
We loved the apartment, and the fabulous pool in the gardens which was ideal because it was lovely to come back to the quiet and cool of the apartment and get ready for dinner. The bars and restaurants are excellent, lots of socialising and events going on in the resort centre. We stayed on the resort for the whole week and came home relaxed and rested, thanks again, Sally & Tony
Lovely homely property. Great location,
Lovely homely apartment, great location all mod cons, great location, excellent communication from Maxine (owner) loads of information given before we got there we would highly recommend using this apartment.
Spacious apartment in quiet location
We found La Torre golf resort to be an ideal location for our relaxing holiday. We liked the proximity to Murcia airport. The resort is also ideal for visiting the surrounding area and we enjoyed a trip to Cartagena and a Catamaran trip there on a very hot day. We also visited Murcia and the Cathedral. My daughter enjoyed exploring the shopping centres at La Zenia and Espacio Meditarraneo. We loved the delicious Smooy frozen yoghurt stalls. The resort grounds are immaculate and the swimming pool we used was fantastic. The Spar shop stocks all you could need and there are several restaurants. We particularly liked the Italian restaurant on the resort and we visited the Alhambra Palace restaurant which is also very near the resort. The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. Having access to the underground car park with lift access to the apartment was ideal. All in all we had a lovely time.
Thank you for posting such a comprehensive review. I'm making it a feature because I think it will be really useful for people either coming to La Torre for the first time, or looking for a good location on the resort.
The drive down the Mar Menor and beaches all along the coastline is very straightforward, literally 15 mins down the dual carriageway into San Javier. There are many beaches from which to choose, some with loungers available and bars and restaurants along the promenade, others further towards the San Pedro are quieter and more natural.
Excellent transport links Murcia (San Javier) airport 15 mins. Alicante 45 mins. From the UK Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2, Bmibaby, Flybe, Monarch, Flyglobespan, Excel.
Murcia is a vibrant cosmopolitan city with wonderful architecture, only 15 mins drive from La Torre. There is a stunning Cathedral in the Old Town, year-round exhibitions, wonderful shops and tapas bars, and even a casino.
There are also many interesting towns and villages to visit in the region including: Caragena The capital of the region founded by the Carthargenians in 227 BC - Hannibal’s capital city on the Iberian Peninsula. The narrow streets of the old town were built around the ruined 13th century cathedral and there are several sites of historical interest including the remains of the Roman road, an old Roman theatre, and an ancient lighthouse of Moorish origins. San Pedro del Pinatar - There is a nature reserve on the salt flats that is one of the prime areas of ecological importance in Murcia and the famous mud baths in the salt flat area are said to heal skin complaints and rheumatism. Migratory flamingos make their way to Africa via this spot each September; an excellent location for watching a variety of migratory birds. There is a marina and a promenade to walk alongside the long sandy beach, and a weekly market to shop for local produce (Monday).
