Amazing historic family villa / farmhouse with grand furnished entrance, 8 large bedrooms, (3 double) (5 twin) 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, dining room, kitchen with pantry, utility rooms and lots of space both inside and out. Back and side shaded terraces. The house is furnished with original character and antiques, plus all modern appliances. Parking area 3-4 cars. Safe place, and safe fenced pool for children. Ideal base for walking or golfing holidays. There are beautiful walks from the farm to the next villages and mountains with the possibility of hiring a professional guide. Having been within the same family for over 300 years, within 10 minutes drive from the beach at the Port of Soller and only a 15 minutes walk to the town centre, the house is one of the finest in the Soller valley in which to enjoy real Mediterranean life.

About Stephen

The picture above is the house lit for a family wedding last summer. As an interior designer, meticulous attention to detail, functionality and 'cleanability' have gone into the refurbishment. As an owner of several properties on the island there is an established and well practised letting team to run the business. The manager is also local and looks after a portfolio of rental properties: she is bi-lingual speaking mainly Spanish and English. In an emergency the owner is contactable directly or through the manager. Doctors, dentists, etc are all at hand. When vacant the owners enjoy the house themselves and so ensure standards.

Why Stephen chose Deia - Soller Region

The property is built around a moorish well There has been a vinyard in front of the house intermittently over the centuries and this was restored twelve years ago, with new production started in 2010. Only 300 bottles are made each year from the cleanest and sweetest grapes that remain in September. The newly installed salt-water pool has fantastic mountains views. The land is managed ecologically and is herbicide free...fertilization being done by our two walking recyclers (Angelina and her baby donkey).

What makes this farmhouse unique

The property is only a ten minute walk into town, and two minutes from the local agricultural co-operative shop where local wines and fresh vegetables, bread and other local produce is available 7am-8pm.

We are fifteen minutes from the beach at the Port of Soller, and a five minute drive up to the award winning mountain village of Fornalutx, and it's renowned Mallorcan restauraunt of C'an Antuna.

Lovely for children as the pool is wooden fenced. Cots and high chairs available on request. Children under 3YO are free. We have 3 high chairs and three cots and three bicycles. Outside: The house is set at the end of a 100m private drive and is nearly 200m from the road. Between the car park and the house is a 30 m pergola planted with kiwis and roses. There is a garden and patio with 2 hammocks, 2 terraces with tables, a built in barbecue, outside wooden furniture, large private pool. A classic villa/old family farmhouse fronted by its own vineyard, and set with 2 hectares of orange, lemon, grapefruit groves. Utility Room: Ironing board, iron. Washing machine and tumble dryer downstairs. Fixed clothes line outside Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, laundry, linen provided and pool towels provided. Other: Indoors dining room seats 14, plenty of space with teak tables with chairs on the back terrace can seat up to 20; quiet breakfast terrace and table.

Great Venue for a Family Group

We stayed at Ca'n Posteta as a large family group (age range one to eighty five) to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. The farmhouse was perfect for such an occasion, with plenty of space and a wonderful pool. It is very comfortably furnished and well equipped and is very clean and well maintained.

There is plenty of outdoor living space for al-fresco dining and lovely atmospheric lighting.

It is set in a stunning location about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the centre of Soller. There is a locally run co-operative a short walk away for day to day food supplies but it is a drive to the nearest supermarket.

Stephen and Trinidad, the owners, were great and couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.

We would definitely recommend this property!

Beautiful property great location

I stayed here as part of a family group of 14. As a group we have rented large properties across France and this was our 1st in Spain and we were not disappointed. This was the best so far!

It is a beautiful large property on the outskirts of Soller with all the amenities required for a group stay especially a well equipped kitchen, plenty of large cool bedrooms and of course a beautiful private swimming pool.

It isn't that easy to find on your 1st visit so make sure you get the directions right as the town's roads do weave in and out a lot. The property is only 20 mins walk from Soller which is a beautiful town with nice bars and restaurants.

Just down the road from the property is a local CoOp which stocks all the essentials especially local wine which is delicious.

The owners, Stephen and Trinidad were actually on-site during our stay (in their own annex) and they were both very helpful and discreet. We had a member of our family pick up an injury and they both offered to help with getting her to the local clinic.

All our family, especially the children loved this villa, it has plenty of quiet hideaway spots for people to read or get away from the gang at the pool, the open-air dining area was fantastic as too was the table tennis table which turned into a major tournament venue for us all.

We would all highly recommend this villa and its owners.

Wonderful for our big family holiday

There were 12 adults and two children in our party and the bedroom, bathroom configuration worked out very well. The farmhouse is sympathetically furnished and very well equipped.There are several different sitting areas both inside and out which gives great flexibility with sun or shade as you choose. The pool is beautifully clean salt water and there are plenty of sun loungers provided. The vineyard, orange and lemon tree setting is stunning. In short we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and had a whale of a time. Perfect for us all from toddlers to the climbers, walkers, cyclists, readers and swimmers in the group. Forget Majorca's reputation for mass tourism, the Soller area is the Mediterranean at its finest. We plan our return. One word of caution, the local roads are narrow, you don't see many 4x4s.

Fantastiskt Village and fantastiskt surroundings

Fantastiskt Villa!. Great for large groups. We celebrated my mothers 80 th birthday. Great stay for everyone (8 to 80 years old).

Walking distance (1.5 km) to Soller centre and to the nice hiking trails and to the lovely Village Fornalutx. We enjoined the pool and the fantastic garden with flowers, lemon and orange trees, surrounded by the mountains. ☺

We stayed here in May 2014 and there were 7 adults and 6 children aged between 1 and 13. Despite the weather, we had a great stay at this Farmhouse. The owner met us in Soller and showed us the way to the villa as it is hard to find. The villa was clean and comfortable. Also, the pool was large and and there is a great view of the mountains. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery and vineyards which you can view from lots of different seating areas around the property. It is a 10 minute walk from downtown Soller where there were lots of Bars and restaurants and a tram that runs down to the Port. The only problem was having to take extra care of young children because of the high stone staircase. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect for a large group

We stayed 13 people in the house for a walking-biking-birdwatching-siteseeing trip. The house and the swimmingpool are very nice, it takes 5 minutes to the nearest restaurant La Molina. Good location for walks - GR221 is very near to the house.
