An imposing, stone built farmhouse, the villa is situated in a peaceful location near the medieval village of Montone in Umbria, the "Green Heart of Italy". It has recently been renovated. Throughout the property the work has been carried out with great taste and attention to detail. The house retains all its original features which, combined with modern amenities, creates an extremely comfortable home.
We had a fantastic time staying at Caicresce. It has been really relaxing and has given us the opportunity to have some quality family time. We have explored some parts of Umbria we've not previously seen- Anghari, Monterchi, Citerna and Sansepolcro - and returned to other locations we've explored before, including a day in Perugia. We all enjoyed using the Mini Metro and finished up the day in the Perugina chocolate factory gorging ourselves on the delicious chocolates you are allowed to sample.
We love the local cuisine and have had some great meals out and 'at home'. Caicresce has been fabulous for our young family - very comfortable and spacious, amazing views and the pool has been a real hit with the little ones. Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful property, which was cleaned to A1 standards. Thanks too,for being so kind and for all the top tips.

Montone, which in Italian means Aries or the Ram is a small medieval village unchanged throughout the centuries and beautifully preserved. It is surrounded by sturdy walls and has a network of narrow streets, alleys and stairways. Its origins date back to the 10th century and in recent years the traditions of the medieval period have been brought back to life during re-enactments of historical events. There is a selection of small local shops in Montone. A weekly market is held in Umbertide every Wednesday morning. Produce includes fresh fruits, vegetables, hams, fish, cheeses and other local specialities. In addition there are several large supermarkets, COOP being the best and nearby is a fabulous fresh pasta shop and Rosticceria. There are many fine local restaurants to enjoy. Montone
