We are a professional couple with two small children who love our house in Spain. Our inlaws live across the road from the property and they love it so much they have been there for 20 years now!

Ideal for our stay. Directions were spot on, courtyard area is a nice touch. Villa as described, easy to fire up the boiler. Was clean, bright and excellent value for money. Would not hesitate to visit again. Plenty of places to explore in the area, all within a short car ride. Beaches only 20 mins away.

Lovely property with fantastic views
We loved the area and it's closeness to all amenities, (supermarket, restaurants). We didn't want to come home and had a very relaxing time with glorious weather.
Hi, thanks for the review. I look forward to seeing you here again
Due to a late flight arrival finding the property proved to be a problem. Owner's instructions suggested property was in a adjacent street as, the actual property is located above the number 6 and not 45 as given, at 3am in the morning this can prove to be a problem as there was no one to contact.
The property was ok inside (see below) however the double bed had not been made for our arrival only the singles beds .
Hot water was disconnected so first morning resulted in a cold shower. The boiler is located across the courtyard in a utility cupboard.
There was also an odd assortment of glasses in the kitchen of which two seemed to be the maximum quantity in any pattern, and some of these were already cracked and put back for use.
The condition of the internal courtyard was rather grubby and the thatched roof leaked causing more problems with puddles outside the courtyard door making the floors slippery when entering and exiting the courtyard.
Entry to the front of the property is also not recommended for older people as there are 21 steps to climb to get to the front door and then you have to manoeuvre past the security door which opens outwards especially with suitcases or bags.
Parking for us was a problematic in that you have to park in the street below the property partly on the pavement as it is a very narrow street. This was further complicated by the property next door undergoing building work throughout our stay, suffice to say we didn't need an alarm clock as work seemed to start by 8am every morning expect for the Sunday......................!!
As a general comment the floors were not that clean throughout and when we located the floor mop and bucket, the bucket was being used to capture a continuous dripping from the boiler and the mop was not in the best condition and appeared to have not been used for some time..
The area is great there are a number of local bars and restaurants fairly close by but the walk back is all uphill.
Further to your review I must state that in 10 years of renting no-one has ever had any problems finding the property. My mobile number is available 24/7 so a call would not have been a problem. To put that negatively in a review is completely unfair.I have no idea why the double bed wasn't made up and I shall speak to the maid service we use to ensure this doesn't happen again. Again you could have just emailed this to me rather than go out of your way to write a negative review.
The hot water is disconnected after every guest leaves. Instructions on how to turn this on are clearly stated in the welcome pack sent to you.
I apologise for the assortment of glasses available. I never thought this an issue but these will now all be replaced with matching glasses.
The courtyard is usually spotless and again I will speak to the maid service to ensure this doesn't happen again. The thatched roof in the courtyard is there for aesthetic reasons and is there to sit in the shade out of the sun. It is NOT designed to be waterproof!
The property description clearly states there are steps up to the property and that it is not suitable for people with mobility issues.
There is never a problem parking the car outside the property. I apologise for any work going on in the property next door but this is a residential area and these things can happen!
Your comments are unfair and the minor issues you could have emailed me about. We get regular holidaymakers returning to the property year after year and they all say the property is excellent in every way.
Clean and well maintained. Apartment was a short car ride to all facilities.Would recommend
The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Unfortunately no WiFi, had to use nearby bar's WiFi, needed to drive to shops and restaurants as the roads were very steep and not suitable for the not so young!!!!
Surrounding towns and coastal areas within easy driving and worth a visit.Visited the local markets, food good and very cheap Staff in shops, bars and restaurants very welcoming and attentive.
Hi Keith, thanks for your review and I am glad you had a great time. As for the Wi-Fi this is something I am currently looking at and hope to have it in place within the next month. Best Regards
Coast/Beach: There are 3 superb beaches all within a 15 minute drive of the house. All have lifeguards on duty for that extra feeling of security. All of the beaches have restaurant or bar facilities. The water is quite shallow on this area of the coast and are thus ideal for small children. Guardamar del Seguar epitomises a typical Spanish seaside resort. Amongst its many attractions is a superb beach side with miles of clean golden sand and some very nice restaurants, as well as some cool, typical Spanish. Travel: The airports of Alicante and Murcia are approx 30 minutes drive from the property. Car Hire is recommended although pick-ups can be arranged. Full easy to use directions can be given should they be required from Alicante airport (No-one has got lost yet!) A welcome pack can also be arranged. Distances: You are only a short car ride away from some typically Spanish towns including Torrevieja, Guadamar del Segura, Elche, with one of Europe’s largest palm forests, Santa Pola, famous for its seafood, Alicante, an exciting Spanish city and Benidorm, which is only 1 hour drive away. From Torrevieja it is possible to get coaches to other cities further afield including Cartagena and Murcia. Further Details: Amongst the many facilities are an Aqua Park, Golf Course and Social Club with restaurant, live entertainment, bowls and swimming facilities (Charges are applicable). There are numerous Bars, Restaurants, Shops including newsagents, supermarkets a tobacconist, hairdressers, banks’ with exchange facilities and medical centre. To conclude Ciudad Quesada is a secluded paradise, yet close enough to three towns, Torrevieja, Guadamar del Segura and Rojales, to cater for all types of holiday. Over the years Ciudad Quesada has developed into an award winning urbanization, finally getting it’s own Town Hall, making it a town in its own right. The urbanization is located on south facing slopes with commanding views over the salt lakes of Torrevieja, one an actual working salt lake considered to be the most important in Europe, the other being a nature reserve. Beyond them the Mediterranean Sea glistens on the horizon. Further views take in the mountains and inland plains covered with orange and lemon groves filling the air with delicate aroma in flowering seasons.
