This recently built house enjoys a splendid position on the top of a smooth south east-facing hillside. Even from the stylish terraces and the poolside just below there are eye catching sea views across the valley to the distant glistening city of Las Palmas. The large terraces beside and above the pool offer sunbeds, outdoor dinning furniture and portable BBQ, perfect for outdoor meals. Inside, the light and well equipped accommodation is equally inviting for a comfy stay, with the provision of a modern plasma screen, home theatre, Satellite TV, internet access and piped music all around the house. The solar heated pool (6 x 3mt, 1.2mt deep), well lit at night, is a temptation to swimming any hour of the day.

Beaches and natural pools:: The North coast of Gran Canaria has plenty of small beaches and natural pools away from mass tourism and are both a surfers and families paradise just like the beach of El Puetillo which is only at 9km. If you prefer golden sand beaches, the beache of Las Canteras it´s only at 20km, most of it on motorways, and it´s a chance too to eat in any of the numerous restaurants from all over the world.

Surf:: From October till March once can enjoy the best and the most griping waves one can dream of, whereas during summer season there´s no better place for beginners, who can find at Gran Canaria safe conditions for taking up this exciting hobby, which can grow up into a lifelong passion.

An ace will enjoy the waves at El Fronton, an amateur will find 'Beach Breakes' Playa de Vagabundos or Playa de Bocabarranco exciting.

Furthermore, the average water temperatures in winter is 19-21C and 23-25C in summer.

Hiking, bycicle tourism and mountain biking:: Either on foot, on horse or by bike, the mountain areas near the house offer visitors a wide variety of extremely beautiful rural paths which will delight visitors along the paths and at each single village, ravine and valley.

Among the many ways for enjoying nature, trekking and biking are, no doubt, the best choice. There is a road and path net of several kilometres of length along Pre-Hispanic paths, forest ways, highways and bridle paths which stretch along a rough relief and across varied ecosystems which delight hikers due to the geological curiosities and archaeological traces. The routes for bicycle tourists will make their hearts strongly beat, since they will alternate between hard rises and vertiginous descents.

Crossing old paths which stretch from the coast to the mountains can be considered not only a sport, but also an incalculable source of culture, since visitors will track the ancient islanders.

Fantastic Holiday

This villa has just about everything that you could want for a perfect relaxing holiday.

The whole top floor is the master suite including en-suite shower room, dressing room and a good size balcony.

The entry level has the other two bedrooms, the main shower room and a small sitting room.

The lower level consists of a good size kitchen/diner/sitting room, plus a toilet and washing machine and tumble drier.

Outside there is a garden set on four levels. There are comfortable table and chairs, lounging chairs and a small solar heated pool with afternoon shade under the bamboo.

The local Hiperdino supermarket in Arucas is OK for everyday bits, but the big Carrefour in Las Arenas shopping centre in Las Palmas is better.

For a change of scene, jump in the car and head for Puerto de Mogan. It's less crowded than the main tourist beaches and the Restaurant Victoria on the sea front does delicious lobster paella.

Ten days in this villa were just not enough.

Beautiful Villa in perfect location

Stylish Villa in beautiful,quiet location. Everything was perfect and all furniture is very tastefully and high standard. The pool deck made you feel like staying in a small boutique hotel and you have it all for your own. We were surprised that it was possible to use the pool in this season: The sun warmed it up until 22 Degrees- perfect.

We can defintily recommend the villa, if you like to stay in a rural, landscaped area with almost no tourists. Great!

Perfect get away location

My wife and I stayed in Casa de la Cruz de Firgas in November and had a wonderful stay. The house has everything that you need and is very comfortable and luxurious. It's every bit as good as it looks in the photographs. We had a car and explored around the north of the island, and the bus service down to Arucas is also very convenient. Firgas is lovely and peaceful. Don't miss dinner at the restaurant down the hill from the villa - Las Barasas, the best grilled chicken and pimentos padron we had in Gran Canaria and brilliant value. Tasca Jamon in Arucas near the lovely cathedral is also very good. We will be back again I'm sure. Andy & Lesley.

Wonderful villa

We had a wonderful time in the villa. It's in a lovely peaceful location with beautiful views. The villa was perfect for us, as we wanted to get away from it all for a week. Would definitely recommend it! Even though the photos look great, it looks even better in real life! We hired a car a visited towns in the north. Very picturesque. Lovely owners too. Thank you very much for a great holiday.

Casa Estupenda

Hola, aprovecho para saludar a toda la comunidad canaria son fantásticos

Bueno a lo que voy, lo bueno, muchas cosas, la casa fantástica tal como se ve en las fotos y sus dueños son estupendos, en sus alrededores para mi es donde se come mejor en cantidad (brutal), calidad y precio está situada fantásticamente unas vistas de Palma y alrededores fantasticas,su clima estupendo, si no quieres playa al 100x100, de todas formas tienes las playas desde 15 a 40 minutos la Playa del Ingles,Maspalomas,, sitios para ver, bueno según lo atrevidos que seáis yo en una semana con una Renault Cango he echo 900klm sin estresarme ya que en canarias está prohibido estresarse.

Lo malo, el ruido de los ladridos de los perros de los alrededores por la noche, yo tengo un perro en mi casa y amigos que tienen hasta cinco en casa, y les aseguro que no se oye ni una mosca por la noche, ya sé que no es culpa de los propietarios de la casa, pero les saca puntos en contra no siendo culpa suya.

Es cierto que tenemos los mejores restaurantes de la isla pero también aprovecho para hablar de nuestra querida playa del Puertillo que es maravillosa y acaban de abrir una terraza chill out al lado del mar. Me alegra saber que disfrutaron de la casa y siento mucho que justo coincidieran con el mes de caza ya que, aunque son días puntuales durante ese mes, es cierto que los perros se vuelven un poco locos al reunirse de madrugada y hacen mucho ruido hasta que se van en los coches. Esperamos volver a verles muy pronto!

Beautiful, rural, tranquil and luxurious

Staying in this villa completely changed our opinion on Canary Islands. This villa provided luxury, space and beauty which commercialized and touristy places such as Maspalomas never could. It offered the perfect holiday location: away from the main tourist areas, with beautiful views of countryside and the sea and well equipped comfortable accommodation with modern decor.

Arranging our stay was very easy and straightforward and people were friendly and very welcoming.

I recommend visiting the closest rural beach in Banaderos, town Teror up in the mountains and a nearby quaint town Firgas. Generally, surroundings were beautiful and tranquil during our out of season visit and there was a lot to see.

The website states that the pool is heated and it was confirmed over the telephone that it will be heated to a certain point, but I don’t think this was the case. In a same way, running water in a house was never warm enough, especially for taking a shower.

However, these niggles did not spoil our holiday. We are seriously considering going back in the future and we keep recommending this villa to all our friends.
