Our ground floor apartment is on the outskirts of Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca on the very popular urbanisation of Jardin Del Mar V. Jardin del Mar is in a complex of houses and 2 storey apartments, with designated pool areas, situated approx 5 mins drive from Torrevieja town centre and beaches and about 30 miles from either Alicante or Murcia Airport. It has its own south facing walled patio, can accommodate a maximum of 5 and is available for either short or long term holiday lets throughout the year (this property can be rented with similar properties in the same road, please ask for details).

Jardin del Mar is situated between the blue and pink salt lakes of Torrevieja. Its southern aspect makes this a warm apartment for winter rentals as well as a total sun-trap for all you sun seekers out there! The enclosed patio with lockable gate makes it safe for those little ones. It is also wheel chair friendly. We have furnished it to make it feel like home, even down to bucket and spades for the children! Also available for guests use-sun parasol for beach, beach chairs, beach mats, inflatables. (subject to availability)

The accommodation comprises of two bedrooms, one double and one twin and one bathroom (with shower). It has a fully equipped separate kitchen (Not American style) There is a travel cot,high chair and pushchair available at no extra charge.

The lounge has a chaise lounge sofa along with a 32 LCD TV showing English channels, (ITV, BBC1 etc) collection of 75 music CD's, DVD player , collection of 150 DVD's, a PS2 with 30 games, Ipod docking station, board games and books. We offer wi fi free of charge. There is also a dining area which seats 5. For your comfort ceiling fans are fitted in all rooms. If needed there is a hot/cold air conditioning unit in the lounge available on a meter. Please note the picture of the pool is not taken from the apartment.

Spain's largest Friday outdoor market, which used to be held in the town, has now moved and is within walking distance of the property in a designated area. (near the Aqua Park)

The Habanaras shopping centre, Carrefour supermarket and Hiperber supermarket are within a 15 min walk. There are bars, tapas bars and restaurants close by.

The Costa Blanca is an ideal location for a summer or winter sun holiday with an average of 320 days sunshine each year. Torrevieja is a fast developing Mediterranean coastal town situated approximately 30 miles from Alicante / Murcia airports on the Costa Blanca, in the south east of Spain. It is easily accessible due to the main N322 road and the A7 motorway .It is situated next to the sea in the south of the Valencian Community and it boasts lots of beaches, a natural park and salt lakes where there is an abundance of flamingos and other wildlife. Due to the vicinity of the salt lakes, Torrevieja benefits from a microclimate that has been a long favourite with the Spanish and Nordic tourists who come year after year for its beneficial effects. Torrevieja has even been voted as one of the best places to live by the World Health Authority.

Torrevieja: A popular place to stay, Torrevieja caters well for tourism, with plenty of activities on offer by day or night although it isn't a resort in the package holiday sense.The town provides first class facilities for lovers of all sports - there are golf clubs, a flying club, a variety of water sports and the municipal stadium with an athletics track, sauna and covered courts for tennis. Visitor numbers increase greatly during the summer months of July and August, and Easter is another popular time, it's no wonder with a fantastic climate, lots of restaurants and shops galore, Torrevieja is the ideal choice for a fun-packed holiday in the sun. It is also ideally placed for a short golf break, there are many professional golf courses within 20 minutes drive from the accommodation, notably Villamartin, Las ramblas and Campoamor.

Zenia Boulevard, the largest shopping centre in Europe, is a five minute drive away. Zenia Boulevard has a traditional Mediterranean design, featuring more than 600 trees and 55 different plant species in the various gardens and open spaces which give colour to the shopping centre. Its layout is designed to reflect a typical Spanish village, with various "town squares" such as Plaza London Square or Plaza Mayor linked by "streets" lined with shops of every description.

The centre accommodates popular national, international and local brands such as the hypermarket Alcampo, Leroy Merlin, Tenpin bowling, Primark, Inditex with Zara and their other trademarks H&M, C&A, Deichmann, Guess, Geox, Swarovski, Punto Roma, Muerde la Pasta, Kiko, Druni and Marvimundo. There is a Casino there and childrens play areas.

If day trips are your thing then there is plenty to do and see around the Costa Blanca.

Terra Mitica , Mundomar, Terra Natura - three parks in the same vicinity just outside Benidorm, Terra Mitica a large theme park and Mundomar a Marine Exotic Animal Park

Alicante -The capital of Costa Blanca, excellent for its shops, beaches and castle

Murcia and Cartagena -Murcia is a very spanish town steeped in history and Cartagena is a seaport with a natural harbour

Why Jacki Flanagan chose Urbanización Jardín del Mar

We love the area because the weather is so mild, even in Jan/Feb/March you can sunbathe on our patio and get a tan. The close proximity of Alicante and Murcia airports make travel to the apartment easy (30-40 mins) as we are equidistant between both. What we like about Torrevieja is that it is a Spanish working town so even in the winter, although much quieter, it is not a ghost town! We love Torrevieja because of the ample facilities in the area, the beautiful beaches, plenty of shopping opportunities and the close proximity of friendly bars and restaurants which means that there is always somewhere different to eat, drink and socialise.

What makes this apartment unique

We fell in love with the south facing aspect of the apartment and the large patio which is such a sun trap, winter or summer. There are no buildings in front of the apartment so you can watch the sunset with a nice glass of vino! Being ground floor there are no stairs and the enclosed patio makes it safe for little ones. We strive to offer everything that will make your holiday perfect and if you have children we try to offer a stress free holiday! So we offer Wi Fi, a PS2 with games, DVD player, CD’s, Films, English TV, beach equipment such as beach parasols, beach chairs, lilos, surfboards, buckets and spades.(Subject to availability) The large pool is always kept immaculately clean and never crowded, even in the summer. There is a lifeguard at the pool in the summer months

Real value for money is a rare thing these days but this property was certainly it. It was immaculate, comfortable and very well equipped and situated. The owner was very flexible with arrival and departure times and responded quickly to any queries i had prior to our holiday. The rooms were comfortable and well furnished, the patio at front of property was quiet and a real suntrap.

There were plenty of places to eat within a short walk, also good amenities for the children, the pool was really nice and only 30 seconds away.

Shopping was no problem and for people like us who don't drive there was a taxi rank only few minutes walk away. taxi's were reasonably priced clean and friendly.

Basically we couldn't wish for much else from a holiday property, if we go back to Torrivieja ( depending if family move from there) we will definitely try and book this property again, it does exactly what the advert says it will. Donald.

Notes on accommodation: We feel for a long rental we are ideally placed with everything within walking distance so car hire is not essential. We can arrange airport transfers. We are available normally between November - March for a long rental but this does depend on existing reservations so could be longer if needed, please always ask for availability. This is a great apartment for winter sun, please ask for discounted prices for the winter. Outside: There is a large south facing patio so if you need to top up your tan in February you can do this on our patio! The patio has lockable gate making it safe for those little ones. It is also wheelchair friendly. We have furnished it to make it feel like home, even down to bucket and spades for the children! The private residents swimming pool has a lifeguard in the summer months. Also available for guests use are a sun parasol for the beach, beach chairs, beach mats, cool box and inflatables, (subje Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Wi Fi, Pre-clean, departure clean and being met at the property with the keys is all included in the price. There is an English representative on hand 24 hours a day. Airport transfers can be arranged from Murcia or Alicante airports. Travel cot, pushchair and high chair at no extra charge.Beach towels available at 2.50 euros each for duration of stay (saves space in your luggage!)

Would highly recommend 😍

First of all the correspondence from jacki on booking the apartment was second to none. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Jenny and Barry who made us very welcome. The apartment was as everything that was stated and more. Supermarket near by had everything you could wish for. The pool was perfect spotless and never busy. We soon found our way around and walked to the harbour and beaches in half an hour. Fabulous bars and restraunts near by. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again 🙌🏼

Loved Apartment

myself and my good wife spent a great week there and loved it so much we have just booked up again for September.

There was a massive supermarket just a 20min walk from the apartment and we loved the walks around the salt lake.

the apartment had all we needed and is a sun trap at the front.

A very well maintained Apartment and a great selection of DVDs to watch at night as well as the TV and internet was really good.

Also a trip down to the front was only 6 euros by taxi and a great place to go for a meal.

We didn't have a car nor did we think we needed one but if you did you are able to park just out front.

In all we hard a great time and would recommend this lovely apartment.

Great Holiday

great holiday

We had a great holiday though a bit hot! (was the hottest Spain ever) Lots to do in the surrounding areas, something for everyone. Didn't stay in much but when we did was nice to relax and watch one of the many DVD's. Communication was quick , any questions promptly answered. Great to use beach stuff, did n't have to go and buy it all!

Lovely clean property

Had a great 2 weeks here, no rain for 2 weeks which is always nice! Sun trap at front of apartment, south facing so gets the sun all day. Everything there we needed for a family holiday down to cool boxes for the beach. Being ground floor was safe for our 2 year old and had use of buggy cot and highchair. Cannot recommend highly enough

Great winter stay

We had a great 3 month stay over the winter. Property is south facing and really does catch that winter sun throughout the day. Heating was via the air con and only needed a few evenings. Property was clean and comfortable with English Tv and wi fi so we could keep in touch with family and friends, also for seeing what was on in the local area. Correspondence with owner was always quick and helpful with anything we wanted to know. Property is ideally situated for everything you need, car not neccesary. Bus one euro into town centre/beach or you can walk it in 40mins. Habaneras shopping centre within walking distance. we will be back next year. Next time hope to catch one of the many 3 day coach tours so we can explore Spain further

Comfort and Convenience

This was a comfortable property very conveniently located for shopping and beaches. We found everything very clean and well equipped and could walk to shops and restaurants if we wished. I would recommend a car as then you can get to several lovely beaches within a short drive.

There are many beautiful unspoilt award winning blue flag beaches which are safe for children with children's facilities and showers. Best beach for us is Guardamar, a 10 mins drive away, always clean, long stretches of beautiful beach and always easy to park.


There are airports at Alicante and Murcia, approx 30 mins away. Airport pickups arranged from 45 euros.


There are bars, restaurants, 2 supermarkets, the Habaneras shopping centre, an aqua-park, bowling alley and an impressive sports complex all within walking distance. There is an Irish bar, Spanish bars, Chinese restaurants, Japanese restaurant, English restaurants and an Indian restaurant nearby.

Further Details:

This is a popular area close to salt lakes and nature parks, suitable for walking and cycling. There is a bus stop nearby with a regular bus service to the town centre and blue flag beaches. It is about a 1 hour drive to Benidorm and Terra Mitica theme park and Mundomar.

Prices shown are per week for up to 4 guests, for a party of 5 there is a small surcharge per week. No smoking is permitted inside the property. Smoking on the terrace only, please. Car hire is not essential, airport transfers can be arranged from either Murcia or Alicante airport.
