House in Thurlestone, Kingsbridge, Devon - Next To Golf Course, Beach 200m

West Seacombe is a spacious house double glazed throughout with ample accommodation for eight situated in a prime position on the Yarmer Estate overlooking both the golf course and the beach. It has been used as a holiday house and for golfing breaks for over 25 years and is well equipped for families, walkers and golfers. A large tarmac drive can accommodate at least 4 cars. Floor to ceiling double glazed sliding doors offer stunning coastal views from the living room and open out onto the terrace. A conservatory offers comfortable seating for those cooler days with equally amazing views and the terrace leads onto a large shared lawned garden ideal for family games. The dining kitchen has been recently renewed and is well equipped and spacious.

Thank you so much for letting us have your house over the last few days. We

all had a wonderful time, partly due to the very good weather we had so

that we were able to walk for hours, and also your lovely house which had

plenty of room for all of us to have some 'space' when recovering from our

walks!! and, of course, views to die for.............even the children

(who seem to go about with heads down most of the time) thought the views

were spectacular. It was a win, win and win again adventure.

Perfect location and beautiful sea view but house a little outdated and tired, great family kitchen

Perfect location with clear sea view and easy access to the beach. Large house with great modern family kitchen but decoration and fittings need updating. Would return due to location-lovely village and surrounding walks.

Homely and spacious

I went to the house with 4 other people for a short weekend. We were all very impressed with the property as it was good value and roomy. We are not used to so much space and choice of bed. This property will sleep up to 8 people and is great for parties of single friends. The panoramic views from the living room window are really spectacular and give a good view of the sea. We made good use of the facilities including the monopoly and puzzles whilst sipping coffee in the mornings. Everything was very clean and tidy and we really found nothing at all to complain about. This is saying a lot considering I went to a cottage in Yorkshire for the Easter weekend and we made several complaints about the facilities. Enjoy Thurlstone and the surrounding areas from this house. We went to Dartmouth and found that a lovely spot to explore for a day.

Glorious Views

WE SPENT A FANTASTIC WEEKEND AT THIS PROPERTY - THE VIEWS WERE INCREDIBLE OVER THE GOLF COURSE AND ON TO THE BEACH BELOW. THE PROPERTY WAS VERY NEAT AND TIDY ON ARRIVAL AND HAD ALL THE NECESSARY MODERN GADGETS SUCH AS WI-FI, BT TELEVISION ETC. IT WAS EXCELLENT AS A BASE FOR EXPLORING SOUTH DEVON AND WALKING THE SOUTH COASTAL PATH. THE VILLAGE ITSELF HAS AN EXCELLENT SMALL SHOP/POST OFFICE AS WELL AS A WELL KNOWN EATING PUB.

WE WILL DEFINITELY RETURN AGAIN SOON.

OUTSTANDING

This was a very clean and tidy property with fantastic views over both Thurlestone Golf Course and the beach. It was ideal as a base for walking the South Coastal paths and exploring South Devon Coastal towns and their idyllic charm. Pubs and restaurants are in abundance so no need to cook at home. The property has an excellent south facing conservatory as well as a large veranda area for relaxing on. With the beach only five minutes walk away all water sports are available.

Coast/Beach:

The coastal path and nearest beach are only 200m walk from the house. There are a choice of excellent beaches locally and with Bantham beach only a mile away by foot. Bantham is a favourite with surfers and families and is a large sandy beach with views to Burgh Island and Bigbury. There are some superb coastal path walks in the area with Hope Cove (2 miles) and Salcombe (8 miles) in easy walking distance for enthusiasts.

Travel:

Car essential.

Distances:

The centre of Thurlestone village with it's pub and post office/general store is within 10 mins walk. Kinsgbridge the nearest town is 15 minutes away by car and has some excellent shopping, a large supermarket and all the usual amenities. Salcombe is a busy fishing and tourist village offering a varied range of water sports activities only 20 minutes away by car.

Further Details:

There are a number of restaurants and pubs offering good quality local food. Locally, The Village Inn in Thurlestone itself, the Sloop in Bantham and the Church Arms in Churchstow all have a warm and friendly atmosphere.
