Chalet Sol Re, once a traditional farmhouse has been lovingly renovated into a beautiful unique chalet with lots of character. The chalet is in an idyllic location, situated in a tiny picturesque hamlet called Essert La Pierre, 4km from the centre of Morzine. The hamlet sits up high on the north side of the valley which means we enjoy the sun all day long as well as fantastic views down the valley. In the summer we offer self-catered stays in two apartments each sleeping up 4 to 5 or one of our 4 studios that all sleep 2 to 4. All the studios and the apartment have balconies and have terrific views down the valley. All guests are welcome to use the garden which has swings, boules area, pond, table tennis, BBQ and picnic tables. There is off the road parking at the chalet and secure storage for bikes and sports equipment. We are on hand to advise on activities in the area and book any for you.

About Reach4thealps

We have lived out in the French Alps now for 11 years and can't imagine moving back. Running our own chalet company Reach4thealps and our 2 kids, ages 7 and 5 keep us busy. Morzine and Les Gets are just fantastic winter and summer resorts with so much to do for all ages. The summer is now our favourite season when we have more time to spend with the kids at the outdoor pool in Morzine or up at Lake Montriond, just in the garden having a BBQ with friends or going for a pic nic up the mountain. The new Multi Pass scheme is great for guests making an activity holiday an affordable one for families and we are very happy to advise and book activities for guests.

Special interest holidays:

Morzine and the Portes Du Soleil is well reknowned for its terrific mountain biking and walking trails. There are endlesss cross country trails for keen bikers and challenging downhill courses in Morzine, Les Gets, Les Crosset and Morgins. The area offers great walking routes and the ski lifts, many of which run in the summer, give bikers and walkers alike, access to some of the higher peaks. Other activities include white water rafting, canyoning, rock climbing, horse riding, swimming (olympic ourdoor pool in Morzine and natural lakes), tennis, via ferratta, fantasticable, ropes courses, quads, devil karts, trampolines and more...

Travel:

Morzine and neighbouring Les Gets are easily accessible being only 1 hour 15 min drive from Geneva airport. Pick up a car at the airport so you can make the most of the area, Annecy, Chamonix, Yvoire are all great day trips and within an hour and a half drive from the chalet.

Driving from the UK is also easy, it takes 8-9 hours from Calais and its motorway all the way apart from the the last 30 minutes.

Distances:

Chalet Sol Re is 2 km from the villages of St Jean D'Aulps and Montriond and 4km from Morzine. The largest supermarket in the area is 2 minute drive away. You can walk into Morzine along a lovely river walk, it takes an hour, or 15 minutes by bike.

Booking Notes:
In order to book please contact us by email, we will then put your accommodation on hold. In order to confirm your reservation we require a completed booking form with 50% deposit, the balance is then due 8 weeks before arrival.

Changeover Day:
Our normal changeover day is Saturday but we do offer 10 stays on request.

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
