|Minimum Stay||5 nights|
Situated in a quiet residential area, the property is a 5 minute walk from Marley Vale and the East Point Lighthouse. The property was completed in 2005 and offers modern facilities. There is a direct bus service to Bridgetown which runs regularly. Across the clifftop is an enchanting walk to Skeete Bay where you can fish off the pier alongside the locals and maybe catch a glimpse of the turtles. Close by are the beautiful Bottom Bay, Foul Bay and Crane Beach. Surfing is within 30 mins drive at Silver Point and the world famous Soup Bowl at Bathsheba. The property offers two bedrooms one with King Size bed and a second bedroom which can be arranged with either a double or single beds. There is also a modern fully fitted kitchen. Relax on the balcony or by the pool area where you can watch the monkeys play close by, enjoy the sea view, have a barbeque or just while away the hours with a cooling drink and a game of dominoes.
After having visited friends living in Barbados we found we were coming back to the Island more frequently so decided to build a house here. We moved here on a more permanent basis upon completion in 2005.
We used the local workforce to help build the property and many of these have now become our friends. So if you are in the village and mention you are staying with us, you are sure of a big welcome.
Having worked in the Building Trade all his working life, Eric keeps the property up to a very high standard and has now become a bit of a tourist guide for our guests.
Louise has worked in Local Government for over 24 years and was also a Magistrate in the UK.
We have 2 sons, 2 daughters in law and 3 amazing grandchildren who enjoy coming to visit not only us but our beautiful Island.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2005
We chose this area because our friends live in St. Philip and having travelled around we realised that this particular site gave us several options. We have the wonderful views, excellent walks, the cool breeze, the beauty of being in the country where the air is fresh but with the ability to access the city and the tourist areas by car or by bus. The property is set on the South East of the Island and is very close to the area of Bathsheba where the scenery is not only beautiful but is a surfer's paradise. We also get the monkeys. Being here is like having our own secret part of the Island as it is only 20 minutes from the airport, peaceful, relaxing but close enough to all the tourists attractions to enable everyone to enjoy a holiday here.
Modern, fully equipped property benefiting from dual power supply 110 and 240 current. Internet access is available so bring your laptops, you can check in online etc and spend more time on the beach. The village of Marley Vale is 5 minutes walk away enabling you to enjoy the company of the local community and be welcomed to join in their activities. There are two churches, a bar, a convenience store, direct bus route to Bridgetown, a cricket ground, two parks, wonderful views and beaches all within a few minutes of the property but also a feeling of solitude should you require it. Fishing, golf and surfing are all easily accessible and we can now claim Astronomy as an added bonus as two prominent Astronomers have been here and captured some great planetary activities.
Hi Louise and Eric
I just wanted to thank you for your great hospitality and kindness.
I so enjoyed staying at your beautiful home. I Couldn't have asked for a finer stay.
If I am ever back in Barbados I will look you up and please do the same whenever you are in England. Good people.
I absolutely loved staying at this property. It's pretty, spacious, quiet, easy to get to and fully stocked. Eric and Louise are very warm and accommodating hosts. I planned to head straight to the property once I arrived in Barbados but my plans changed last minute whilst in transit in St Lucia. I sent a message explaining this and to my surprise Louise and Eric met me at the airport to give me the key to the apartment so I could easily gain entrance after I had finished, such generosity.
I especially enjoyed the easy access from the apartment to the pool area. The backdoors of the apartment open directly onto it. It almost feels like a continuation of the lounge area, It's very relaxed. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable and the apartment is stylish.
I can't recommend this property highly enough. You will really enjoy your stay here. Thank You Louise and Eric.
The apartment is a home from home except much warmer with a pool and a fab warm breeze!! It is a clean comfortable friendly base from which it is easy to drive to explore the island but equally a great place to go for a stroll, watch the monkeys play and relax by the pool. Louise and Eric are great hosts and have a wealth of knowledge of the island and pointed us in the right direction for a fun filled, relaxing, stress free holiday. Looking forward to returning in the near future
The apartment is bright, spacious and very well-equipped. It is very comfortable with beautiful ocean breezes that keeps the temperature very comfortable. Eric and Louise are so kind and hospitable - they made us feel very welcome and they did so much to make sure that we had a wonderful vacation. The garden and pool are a lovely oasis to enjoy the sunshine and the ocean breezes. We enjoyed the short walk to the sea and the secluded beach. We also enjoyed many evenings at the East Point Grill.
I only have one negative about this place, I neglected to book a long enough stay. We all enjoyed our stay here equally, from our ages of four to fifty three, there was plenty for us all to enjoy and remember. Plus we made some new and fabulous friends.
If your looking for a nicely priced, lovely located and a friendly atmosphere to spend your stay in Barbados without too many tourist in your face, you need look no further.
I'm tempted to keep this wonderful place to myself! If you want to live like a local and explore the real Barbados you can't do better than to stay here. The villa is modern, breezy and clean and Eric and Louise are wonderful hosts, giving you privacy if you want it, but more than happy to show you places and people that most visitors will never come across. The East coast is the undeveloped side of the Island, with minimal Tourist traps, wonderful coastline, and laid back, friendly people. Keep al look out for the family of monkeys that play in the pasture behind the garden most morning and evenings. I can't recommend this property highly enough.
A wonderful 10 day break at Louric. The apartment it is so comfortable, modern and well equipped....a home away from home! Both Eric and Louise were perfect hosts with a fountain of knowledge about 'de island', suggesting places to visit, eat and drink.
Waking up to the sea view, Louric is set in beautiful surroundings. Breakfast on the balcony with a slight sea breeze...bliss! Relax by the pool and to the occasional sounds of Black Bellied Sheep and monkeys.
I didn't want to leave, so I will be back!!
