The farmer’s house has been completely renovated to transform it into a comfortable holiday house, located in a quiet, small scenic village of Tofori. Surrounded by olive groves and wineries. 12km from the medieval town of Lucca and 80km from Florence. Approximately 40km from Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi beach. Our guests enjoy spending their holiday with us because they like to rest by the swimming pool and also they enjoy eating what we cook for them sometimes under their request.
Enrico and Paola, an historical couple, of 75 and 66! We have been together since the 8th of March 1972!
Happy parents of Stella, 38 and Aurora 30! Happy grandparents of Sofia, 11, Gemma 9 and Teodoro, 5years old.
We share the interest of planting trees, cultivating our land, 5hectars, producing excellent olive oil, fruit and vegetables.
We love music and going for long walks by foot.
The Owner purchased this villa in 1970
We bought the property in 1974. We liked the place because it is a little bit out of the beaten tracks and yet near to major cities like Lucca, Viareggio and Florence.
We have always enjoyed living here because we feel it as the place where we have fulfilled all our dreams: build a family, produce our own organic olive oil and welcoming our guests.
We had such a lovely time at Falampa- our party- 2 adults and 2 children enjoyed the spacious and traditional accommodation for 2 relaxing weeks. we have never stayed anywhere that had such a great array of cooking untensils and facilities The fact that the lovely Paola and Enrico and Aurora were on site to give advice and help only added to our enjoyment. The views from the lovely spacious pool are amazing. Aurora gave us a pizza making lesson which our kids especially enjoyed- thank you Aurora !!
we would highly recommend visiting the nearby town of Lucca ( 15-20 mins drive) as its lovely streets and great restaurants are a delight. please take recommendations from owners ad do not miss out on the great Gelatto shop that has swings inside !!!
Although there no restaurants within easy walking distance of the property - we where delighted that Paola and Aurora gave us transport both to and back so that we could both enjoy the local wines at ease !!!
We would also recommend a visit to the local winery Frattoria Fubbiano where you can do a vineyard visit, tasting and light lunch for a very reasonable price.
if you would like to visit further afield to Florence the train from Lucca is inexpensive, comfortable and great to do. we left our car at the station overnight and everything was fine.
Molte grazie, Paola, Enrico & Aurora e speriamo di rivederti

We had a fantastic stay at the Villa and the owners Paola and Enrico are the nicest people! We would highly recommend the Villa and hope to return again next year!
The villa's is beautiful and the position is great over looking hilly olive groves and vineyards for miles. We used the Villa as a base for day trips to Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terre and of course beautiful Lucca all of which are within easy driving distance of the villa so there's loads to do when not lounging by the pool.
Thanks so much Paola & Enrico, until next time!
We really enjoyed our holiday in this villa, and would recommend to everyone. It was a truly relaxing family break. The villa is in a great location and a good base to explore Lucca and the surrounding villages. Paola and Enrico were so lovely and welcoming, they supported by their charming daughter Aurora. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a wonderful evening when Aurora cooked for us, I would highly recommend this.
The villa is clean and tidy and was perfect for our needs, we enjoy cooking and the kitchen was well equipped. The pool was the highlight for my teenagers and they spent hours laying in the pool gazing down the valley looking at the most incredible views. The peace and quiet in the evenings was to be treasured and enjoyed.
We would love to go back and stay once again with this lovely family, on a traditional Olive farm and set in such beautiful countryside.
Falampa is a very special place to spend a week's holiday (or longer!!). The accommodation is very clean and spacious, the bedrooms remain cool even when the outside temperatures are at their hottest, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need (and more!). The swimming pool and poolside area is lovely - perfect for relaxing in the sun and we all enjoyed cooling off and playing in the large pool. Our sons (Alex, 20 and Will, 17) also really appreciated the use of the table tennis table - a real bonus to have this facility.
The villa's location is excellent for visiting the hills to the north or going into the beautiful town of Lucca where we hired bikes and cycled along the wall that surrounds the old city.
We were lucky to discover that the Lucca Summer Festival was on during our stay and we bought tickets to see Neil Young - what a special venue to see a music legend.
Lastly, an absolute joy for us was to meet Paola, Enrico and Aurora. They were the most gracious, kind and helpful hosts - they did everything they could to make our experience special. We can't thank them enough for all their help and advice - lovely, lovely people.
We very much hope to return to Falampa in the future as there is so much more for us yet to see in the local area and we will definitely recommend this property to family and friends.
Paola and Enrico are wonderful hosts and couldn't do enough for us. The Villa is tricky to find but they do offer to meet you at the motorway exit. This was a first holiday for us with Owners Direct and a different style of holiday. We normally go for separate villas and I must admit I didn't realise this villa was connected to the owner's home which I didn't think was made clear on the details. What you get is not the whole of the villa you see on this picture, but just the downstairs. You could hear the owners moving around and some noise from their dogs during the night which we are not used to but it may not bother other visitors. Paola did say we should have mentioned about the dogs and they would have put them further away from the villa. We found the bedrooms and interior of the villa quite dark. The view from the villa was lovely, the pool was nice, but the area around it is quite small if there are a lot of you wanting to lie on the beds. The gardens and terrace are lovely and we had some lovely walks around the olive trees. It would have been nice to have had somewhere to walk to for a drink in the evenings a car is essential. We found a lovely restaurant nearby on our last day. Lucca is a wonderful town and well worth visiting - it was the highlight of our holiday. We travelled to Florence on the train which was a great way to go and very easy to work out.
Wonderful Holiday. Great location for exploring the lovely countryside and beautiful cities of the area (Lucca in particular).
The accomodation is typical italian style. Very comfortable and fantastic authenticity from the stone walls to the stone 1 piece sink.
Great views from the property and set amongst olive groves.
Paola and Enrico are lovely people and very helpful if any advice is needed.
Thanks for the great experience.

The nearest beach is Viareggio. It takes about 40/45minutes to reach it from here. Further west, you can find Lido di Camaiore and Forte dei Marmi. There is fine sand all along the coast that connects the three places mentioned above. The coast is subdiveded into private lots, all of them furnished with umbrella and chairs. In some of them, it is possible to rent a bathinghut and an umbrella for the day. There is the possibility of enjoying your lunch at local restaurant on the beach.
Pisa is the nearest airport within 40 mins. It usually takes about 1 hour to reach our house. Florence is 60km away and it takes approx same time. We always recommend our guests to hire a car that will allow them to go and visit nice places in the area.
The nearest village is called Camigliano and there you can visit the beautiful Villa Torrigiani. Next to it, there is a minimarket where you can do your shopping thus combining culture with daily shopping.
The nearest city is Lucca, an ancient city completely serrounded by the Walls. To walk on the Walls is the most wonderful experience one can have in Lucca. Such an ancient monument that still now, everyday welcomes lots of people in search of relax!
Supermarkets and good restaurants near to the house. Places of interest for children include Pinocchio's park at Collodi.
