Privately owned luxury frontline apartment. Fully air conditioned, ground floor location with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeping 6. There is a large sunny, south facing patio overlooking pool, beach and sea. Safe gated complex in large beautifully landscaped gardens facing sandy blue flag beach. Own parking space. There are restaurants and well a stocked supermarket 2 mins walk away. The small unspoilt resort, alcossebre is a 15 min walk with marina, golf tennis, watersports etc. Peniscola is a 20 mins drive. Morella is 1 hour’s drive. There is a water park in 30 mins drive and port adventura theme park is 1 hour’s drive.

About michelle

My husband and I have owned this apartment for 10years.We have both lived abroad in our 20s and settled in England to raise a family. We spent 6 months looking for the perfect location, one which would suite our family friends and elderly relatives and within easy access to our local airport.

We have been extremely pleased with the apartment complex and area and feel we have made some great friends and had some wonderful holidays.

Our children have now grown up but continue to visit with their friends and family.

we have been very pleased with all our rentals and had a lot of positive feedback and hope to continue for many years.

Why michelle chose Costa Azahar

We wanted to find a location with great beaches good restaurants and lots of local culture.

It was important to find a resort where the Spanish holiday.

We liked the fact that there are no major hotels in the area and it still feels like a small friendly Spanish town.

Every time we visit we feel totally relaxed and refreshed and love the laid back lifestyle.

We have made many friends in the area and always find new places to visit.

What makes this apartment unique

Without a doubt the complex is one of the best in the area.

The pool and gardens are very spacious and the beach is so close.

It is great to be able to wander round to the local supermarket or get take away paella to eat on the patio or just chill with a bottle of wine and a few tapas at the local restaurant.

We also love the walks in and around the area and all the fresh produce you can buy from the local farmers.

You can get the local train into Valencia for a days shopping or sightseeing or drive up into the mountains where little has changed for century's. There is always some sort of fiesta going on which is a great experience.

A gem of a place!

We wanted a totally relaxing, hassle free break in the sun which is exactly what this property and location gave us!

The apartment was very attractive and everything was spotlessly clean and in good order. The apartment had everything we needed including a substantial patio sunshade ( which even in mid-April was needed at mid-day). The location of the apartment was perfect. A lovely beach across the quiet road and good local restaurants in both directions. The local shop sold everything and was open every day so no need for a car to do a big supermarket shop!

We do a lot of driving for work so didn't want to hire a car. This apartment was perfect for that.( especially with the new local airport at Castellon only a short taxi ride away). We enjoyed leisurely short strolls along the attractive raised wooden walkway into the main hub of a very 'Spanish' Alcossebre where there are what seemed an endless amount of good bars and restaurants! We walked through the town to a lovely Marina and on to the lighthouse.

In the other direction there are great walking opportunities too, taking in more beaches or lengthier walks to the next small towns. We chose to do an ornithology focused early morning walk with Des (a keen local environmentalist) who was a hive of information not only about birds but local plants and fauna too and how they need protecting. This was arranged easily and was well worth the small donation we gave for his environmental projects.

The early spring sunshine was a big plus but we felt even out of season there would be so much to do such as hiring bikes, kayaking etc.

If we had been there for longer we might have considered hiring a car for a few days as there seemed so much to explore from Alcossebre.

All in all we thought this was a fantastic place to stay and we're certainly thinking of returning soon and doing the things we didn't have time to do on this visit. The owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating.We would strongly recommend this place for all ages.

A beautiful apartment in unspoilt Alcossebre

Alcossebre is a lovely gem on Valencia's Orange Blossom coast. Not far from larger towns like Peniscola and Benicassim, and just a train ride away from Valencia, Alcossebre remains completely unspoilt with heaps of rural Spanish charm and welcoming locals. The area isn't built up at all, and so from the apartment all the lovely bars and restaurants are a short walk away, with gorgeous views over the sea, the foothills of the region's mountains and miles of orange groves. if you like good food and drink, there are plenty of fantastic, good value options. Even in December we had 23 degree sunshine and really enjoyed staying in such a well-looked after home. Highly recommended and thanks to Michelle and Martin for such a great stay.

We have stayed at the apartment a number of times and have always been very happy with the facilities. There is a good supermarket nearby and a choice of good beaches.There are a number of good resturants in the village which is a short walk from the apartment.The complex also has an impressive swimming pool.We thoroughly recommend it to anyone

Lovely Relaxing Stay:)

Great location in a lovely airy and clean apartment with great facilities. Lovely outdoor communal area with lovely grounds and gorgeous pool. Just a couple of 100 yards from the beach and an enjoyable walk into the town centre. Would definitely stay here again:)

excellent location and accomadation of a very high

The owner has thought of everything re the facilities at this apt. The accomadation is maintained to a very high standard and the location overlooking the 3 pools and sea is beautiful. The grass area surrounding the pools is most impressive for its luxury and comfort. This apt has the added extras of home comforts of videos and beach toys and equipment. The area still maintains a tranquil setting with a very hospital spannish welcoming presence.

Fanatastic

A lovely apartment. Really thoughtfully equipped in the kitchen and some toys and beach stuff for families. A good sized and clean apartment. Complex is lovely. Well kept, not too big, and picture's don't do the pool justice. The beach is right across the road and supermarket and restaurants are only a few minutes walk away. All in all and lovely holiday

Very safe shallow sea. Pedeloes to hire during summer months. 5 miles of sandy beaches along coast line all blue flag and a variety of watersports and playgrounds on beaches. Wooden walkway along beaches to stroll into town. A variety of costal walks on flat terrain.

Travel:

Nearest airport is Castellon Airport which has just opened and is only a 20 min journey from airport to patio. Ryanair fly 3 times a week during the summer and twice during the winter. Reus is 1 hour 20 mins, Valencia is 1 hour and Barcelona is 2 hours 20 mins. Car hire recommended but not essential. Airport transfers can be arranged. See owners website for flights and car hire/airport transfers.

Distances:

Nearest supermarket and restaurants 200m. Nearest town 15 min walk. Peniscola 20 mins drive. Morella 1 hour drive. Water park 30 mins drive. Port Adventura theme park 1 Hour drive. More details including map on owners website.

Further Details:

Golf, tennis, bike hire, crazy golf, horse riding, marina, boat trips/scuba diving etc all available locally.

Many lovely walks into the Siera de Irta (national park) and hermitage. Alcossebre has an abundance restaurants from traditional cheep cheerful family run tapas bars to fine dining. There is a local market once a week selling good organic produce at very low prices. Several banks and chemists together with trinket shops and boutiques. Well stocked supermarkets where you can still but a bottle of wine for under 2 Euros. Local butcher, bread shops, speciality honey and local produce from the region.
