About Teresa Crawford

Martin and Teresa worked hard in the UK within the Finance industry and Teresa in the NHS. Both have travelled for many years, but decided to hang up their hats and take on a Gite in the heart of the Dordogne, an area they both love and have been to for many years.

They have good experience of entertaining and hospitality and enjoy making people feel at home at all times. Nothing is too much trouble.

Teresa Crawford purchased this cottage in 2011

Why Teresa Crawford chose Cendrieux

We bought this property because we love the surrounding area, the history, the people and the food, not to mention the wine! It's peaceful, tranquil and totally stressfree, plus the only commuter traffic we get are cyclists, a few tractors and the post lady!! What's not to like?

Great relaxing holiday

  • 5 of 5

The property was described accurately in the listing. It was in a quiet location but not to far from the main roads that led to the main attractions in the area. The owners were very hospitable and made our stay very pleasant with some very good advice of the local area.

The property was very clean and well maintained and the pool was lovely. We would definitely and have recommended it to friends.

Gite Coqiuelicot - a great holiday

  • 5 of 5

Gite Coquelicot was exactly what My wife and I had hoped it would be. It provided us with a very quiet, comfortable and well equipped base for our two weeks in the Dordogne. Teresa and Martin were delightful, helpful and most hospitable hosts. The onsite facilities were great - a lovely garden, a super pool, and a well equipped private patio area. For anybody seeking a quiet, restful holiday within easy reach of shopping facilities, delightful countryside and interesting places to visit

it ticks all the boxes

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words regarding our gite. We very much hope to see you return to Gite Coquelicot in the not too distant future. Concerning the maintenance, we strive to improve the accommodation and what we offer each year. For last summer, we introduced a much improved gite patio area and for next summer, there will be a brand new kitchen installed (We are currently hanging wall cupboards, having so far installed a new ceiling and new walls). Thank you again for your review. Teresa and Martin.

Brilliant Gite for relaxing or sightseeing

  • 5 of 5

Martin and Theresa gave us a first class welcome, and the drinks on the patio was a lovely introduction to the area. The Gite was very clean with excellent facilities, and is ideally placed for all the key sightseeing areas around the region. It is also a great spot for relaxing. I would certainly hope to revisit in the future and would happily recommend the gite to anyone looking to visit the Dordogne

Oasis of Peace

  • 5 of 5

A very peaceful holiday in a beautiful part of the Dordogne within easy reach of Bergerac airport but not disturbed by airport noise. We were overjoyed when three tractors went by one day which was the most we saw during our stay - so much for rush hour!

The gite was spotlessly clean with a very well provided kitchen and constant hot water. Having no children we did not take advantage of the board games but did enjoy our exclusive use of the pool and surrounds during a very hot, dry week. At night it was so quiet we were able to enjoy the bird songs from the owls and nightingales, plus were regularly serenaded by the local tree frogs.

Teresa and Martin entertained us on their patio on a couple of nights with wonderful meals and copious quantities of the locally produced wine.

We both agreed that if were ever choose to move to France we would love to stay with Martin and Teresa whilst we are hunting for property in this lovely peaceful area.

When we were there we understand Teresa and Martin are thinking about providing a B&B service or even half board for the coming 2015 season which I think would be a wonderful stress free break for any touring holiday.
