My soulmate and I rented this villa for 2 weeks between November & December 2012
On arrival we were picked up by Deon at the airport and prompty taken to the villa where he showed us all the amenities, the villa has everything you need for both small groups and families.
The pool is amazing and private, the kitchen is open planned with every accessory you would have at home (blender, toaster, hob, microwave etc.),
Each of the 3 bedrooms has air conditioning, and comes with beach towels etc.
Wifi is also a welcome addition if like me you need to keep up with your e-mails even when on holiday!
The villa itself
We stayed here for 1week in the villa. It was spacious and extremely well equipped. The pool was beautiful, very clean and well looked after. There was an abundance of bird life in the pretty garden. The villa was in a good position to enable you to walk to 2 beaches within a few minutes and was central for restaurants, bars , shops and car hire companies, should you decide to explore the island. The island deserves to be explored, because it is so beautiful and the people are so friendly.
I recommend this villa holiday to anyone.
We stayed at Villa Kiskadee for two weeks from the 15th to the 29th March 2014. Booking was easy and the help and information we received from Steve the owner was excellent. The Villa is beautiful and very tastefully furnished. There are 3 double bedrooms,in the master bedroom, the bed is enormous. It has an ensuite bathroom. There is another bathroom which is shared by the other two bedrooms. The lounge, dining area and kitchen is open plan and is very light and airy with seating for six people. The kitchen is well equipped with full oven, hob and microwave.
The outside patio area is lovely with seating and sun loungers overlooking the pool and pretty garden. The pool is cleaned three times a week.it was lovely to sit on the patio and watch the birds feeding from the bird feeders every morning. (Please feed them, they love sugar)
The Villa was kept clean by Beverley the housekeeper who is a treasure, bedding and towels were changed regularly, (no need to take pool towels as these were changed on a regular basis also)
Beverley cooked for us on two occasions, the meals were delicious, much better than some of the restaurants we tried.
We hired a car for a week from Sheppy's (recommended by Steve ) they were excellent.(Although a car is not necessary ) They delivered and picked the car up from the Villa.
We drove around most of the Island which is beautiful and so unspoilt and the people are so friendly.
Our favourite beaches were Buccoo, Castara, Englishman's and Parlatuvier Bay.
We took a taxi to Buccoo one Sunday evening and went to Sunday School, a good evening out, with stalls selling hot food and a really good steel band, great atmosphere, we had a delicious meal at El Pescador which overlooks the sea. Recommended.
There are plenty of Restaurants not far from the Villa, our favourites were Bamboo Mile, The Pasta Gallery, and Bonkers at the Toucan Inn.
We do not recommend Kariwak Village for a meal.
A good bar with lots of atmosphere is Bago's (Pigeon Point Road) overlooking the sea.
We had a wonderful holiday and did not want to come home, the weather was lovely and we felt very relaxed.
Thank you Steve for letting us use your lovely Villa, a real" Home from Home"
My family & I have just returned from a two week stay at this lovely villa. Our every need was catered for. We were collected from the airport & taken to the villa & even taken back to the airport when we realised we had forgotten a bag! The villa is perfectly spacious & the big pool ideal during the long hot days. The villa is in an ideal location for all amenities. Deon the manager will take care of all your needs & Beverly the cleaner will even cook a meal for you, for a small fee. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone & would not hesitate to return should we have another holiday in beautiful Tobago.
Special interest holidays:
The rainforest is famous as the oldest protected rainforest in the western hemisphere and hosts a vast range of birds and wildlife. You may also wish to see what the seas have to offer by going snorkelling or diving. During your stay you can also try your hand at deep-sea fishing, watch turtles nesting (depending on when you visit), go sailing or play a round of golf. You may also wish to tie your trip in with one of Tobago's many events –Carnival, Sail week, Great Fete or the Crab and Goat races. Luise Kimme also has a stunning museum of her bronze and carved wooden sculptures for those wishing to expand their cultural horizons. The island also offers a great deal of interest historically - with many forts and the local museum just 10 minutes drive from the villa.
Some of Tobago's best beaches are within 10 minutes walking distance of the villa or just a short drive away. You can also watch birds at the marshland that is within 5 minutes walk of the villa. We have seen hundreds of different birds around the marsh and coastline.
Crown Point airport is less than 5 minutes drive away. Airport collection can be arranged and we can also provide details of reliable car/jeep/motorcycle hire. There are island maps and tour guides within the villa to help you plan your stay. The ferry port is at Scarborough, which is about 20 minutes drive from the villa.
Shops, bars and some of Tobago's best restaurants are within a 5 minute walk of the villa. There are also a number of internet cafes, a bank, ATMs and supermarkets/fruit and veg stalls in walking distance or less than 5 mins in a car.
Full information on local amenities and things to do are given in the villa, including books and guides on local birds, good places to eat, recommended tour guides and opening times of banks and shops. We can also recommend the best deal flight operators and things to take or pack!
