Outside there are 2 pools plus a children’s pool, with sun loungers and umbrellas for the exclusive use of the apartment guests. We are married couple from Hertfordshire with two children. We first came across Kalkan in 2005 and fell in love with the place. Named after our daughter Melissa (a Turkish name conveniently), our beautiful apartment is the perfect bolt-hole to escape to from our busy full-time jobs at home.

One look at the views from our apartment and we were sold, to say they are magnificent is an understatement. The location is also fantastic; it's close enough to the town to walk everywhere, with no need for a car or taxis. We also love relaxing around the pool!
What makes this Apartment unique
Kalkan itself is a gem, mostly down to it's well deserved reputation for outstanding restaurants and friendly people. With a small beach, boat trips from the harbour and numerous beach clubs dotted around the bay, there's always somewhere to go and relax, and if you can drag yourself away from the town itself, there are numerous places to visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely spacious and well maintained apartment. The manager was extremely pleasant and helpful. Pool area kept immaculate with plenty of sun beds. Maid service regular and very good with clean towels and bedding every few days. Roof terrace great with table chairs and sun beds also. We wouldn't hesitate to return. Overall fantastic holiday.

Kalkan is well placed for those interested in Lycian Way and we can offer low rental rates out of season when the weather is best for walking.
Kalkan has its own pebble beach which is a ten minute walk from the apartment. The beautiful Patara beach is 20 mins drive by car or Dolmus. The lovely Kaputas beach is only 10 mins away. Kalkan however, has a number of beach clubs most serviced by a boat or taxi service. These offer the choice of total relaxation or for the more energetic, water skiing, jets skis or the opportunity of being dragged behind a boat on something inflatable.
Flights to Dalaman take approx 4 hours. You may wish to hire a car (there is parking outside Emir apartments for guests) or it is easy to arrange a transfer from the airport to Kalkan. The journey from the airport takes about one hour forty five minutes.
For those interested in history, Kalkan is in the Lycian region with numerous ancient sites close by, including: Xanthos, Letoon, Pinara, Tlos and Patara. Kekova, Demre, Myra, Phaselis,Olympos and Aspendos. The harbour towns of Kas (25 mins) and Fethyie (1 hour) are also worth a visit.
Kalkan, once a small Mediterranean fishing village has lost none of its charm and character, with white washed buildings lining the cobbled streets of the old town leading down to the harbour which is always busy with luxury yachts and gulets. Those who enjoy shopping will not be disappointed. There is an excellent mix of shops offering everything from clothing and jewellery to 'designer' goods and local arts and crafts. Kalkan is especially well know for its fine and varied selection of restaurants and eateries, many with rooftop terraces. There are menus to suit all tastes and pockets.
