We met and discovered we had a shared passion for Italy and decided we would love to buy a villa where we could really enjoy all that Italy has to offer. We have spent a lot of time here, taking advantage of the quick, cheap and easy flights available. Our villa really is a second home to us and we hope you'll find it warm and inviting. Owned by Personal trainer and lifestyle coach Stephen and his wife the villa is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing holiday and ideally located to explore the region.
Owner purchased this Villa in 2005
Why Owner chose Ostuni
We bought our villa after spending much time searching various parts of Southern Italy and falling in love with Ostuni and the surrounding areas. When we bought the villa we didn't have any children. Its a great place to be as a couple with lots to see and do. We now have a 9 year old and a 6 month old and have discovered that the villa, location and area offer an equally brilliant family holiday.
What makes this Villa unique
One of the main benefits of the villa is that it is totally tranquil although we are within very easy reach of airports, beaches, restaurants, shops and bars. We have been at the villa at all times of the year and have had holidays ranging from January escapes with fantastic food, wine, log fires and sightseeing to Easter breaks with walks on the beaches, shopping, visits to Fasanoland, Brindisi and Gallipoli. We have also had amazing summer holidays, with every day spent on the beach and barbeques every night. We love it here and hope you do too. After owning Villa Bona Dea for 10 years we are still discovering new and wonderful places and people.

Situated up a private road in excellent location
Great villa providing everything we needed for our holiday ,fabulous showers and air conditioning which was perfect in the night as was extremely humid on occasion. Very good location for exploring surrounding towns and lovely and close to the beach. Totally unspoilt region of Italy and we will be sure to visit the area again.
Fresh figs from the garden were particularly enjoyed and the terrace was a lovely way to chill out in the heat of the day on a sun lounger with a book and a cold drink.A minor hitch with the fridge not working was immediately rectified by Martin our contact and Stephen the owner and was great to know there was someone on hand if any problems. Guest book provided great recommendations of beaches and restaurants and places to visit.
Thank you very much for your kind comments, we are very glad you enjoyed your stay at Villa Bona Dea and do hope you visit again sometime.
Pretty villa in a very relaxing location
The villa is located within extensive grounds and is extremely private and peaceful. We enjoyed using the outdoor bbq / pizza oven whilst watching the sunset and sipping local wine! Both the villa and grounds are very well maintained and depending on the time of year you can enjoy apricots or figs fresh from the trees. Inside the villa is a dvd player and endless supply of dvds and books plus many useful extras such as adaptor plugs, cafetiere and every conceivable kitchen utensil!
Despite the peaceful location local towns and beaches are only a short drive away. Would highly recommend visiting Ostuni, both day and evening whilst the beach at San Sabina is a delight (although much busier at weekends). The restaurants at San Michele are a super; fabulous inexpensive food and wine.
We have totally fallen in love with Puglia. It is like stepping back in time and would thoroughly recommend a holiday at this lovely country villa.
