About the property

House in Salo, Brescia, Lombardy, Lake Garda, Italy - Peaceful location in a wide family property

It is an ideal place for families and those who want to stay away from the chaotic tourist areas, but at the same time be close to a town with all facilities like Salò. The cottage is situated in private grounds with the owners country house, horses and 600 olive trees. The apartments are wide and in 2 different branches of the same building, they just have main stares in common. Each apt has their own private garden with olive and fruit trees as well as room for pets. It a very peaceful place with a great view of the town and the countryside. From the pool you can also see the lake. There is the possibility of using the owners private swimming pool (L shape: 16 m x 9 x 7) which is surrounded by nature. In few minutes by car you can reach the centre of Salò, a pretty town with a great historical background and cultural attractions such as the Dome; a newly built lakeside walk. A key feature is of course the Italian biggest lake.

About FEDERICA GNUTTI

We are a family of 3 women but just my mother Antonietta and my sister Giulietta lives in the property especially on weekends. I live 15 minutes from the property. We love our place and try to keep it in a good state in nature, even if we have a total different job. We all love nature, animals - we have dogs, birds, horses, in the property - and healthy biologic food that grows in our kitchen garden and olive oil that we gain from olive trees.

Why FEDERICA GNUTTI chose Brescia

This is a family owned property. It has been our country house since we were children, especially House B was our house while my sister and I were children and the other house (our actual one) was being renewed. Also some furniture are the same! We decided to rent part of our property to face the high cost of mantaining such a wide property in a good state, without changing too much of it. That is the reason you will find some 70s forniture and wide halls and spaces that now are almost impossible to find in holiday houses.

Since 2014 we decided to rent the attic at the 4th floor of our family house (house C), we share stares and some spaces with guests, in we and August

We love our house and the nature which is dipped in and we expect that our guest appreciate and respect the same aspect

What makes this apartment unique

We love staying in our property because it is far form crowds but at the same time very closed to Salò. It is just relaxing for the peace and the nature the has around.

It is a sun lighted position, from morning to night.

It offer a wideness of spaces either in the apartments, either in the garden, that is very difficult to find in a holiday complex.

It is an ideal place for families with children that love nature and animals!

Guestbook comments from the manager

There is a copybook in both apartments where guests are welcome to write their opionion and experience. Many of them said that from the website you really cannot understand how much space there is in and outside the houses and how big the pool is and the fact that is shared just with the other apartment guests and with the owner. Anyway our guests can read the copybook that is always in the house!

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: Pets accepted for House A and B. It is forbidden to bring extra people in the private property without asking. Children usually love this place. All the apartaments are very light, thanks to big windows. House A and B are on the first floor and there are wide stairs but not suitable for wheelchairs. House C is at the 4th floor of our family house, not suitable for wheelchairs. Towels and linen are included. They are usually cleaned at the end of the stay which is normally 1 week but there is an extra change for those staying longer. Outside: Private gardens for House A and B includes BBQ, table and chairs, space for pets. Swimming pool is used just by the owners and the apartment guests and there is outdoor furniture. It is forbidden to use the pool at night time after 8 pm. Pool is open from the month of May but it depends on how warm May is in each year, it can be that we open it around 15-20th of May. From the end of October the pool is closed but the apartment is still available for rent because the area is beautiful in autumn/winter. In such seasons, you can enjoy the nice weather (frost is a rarity), the peace of a stay out of season, and the great view of the lake in winter with the snow on the top of Baldo mountain, and at the same time oranges on trees of some lake walks.

Stunning Salo

We spent a fantastic week in a huge apartment. The pool was clean and cool, the location was great. Federica (owner) was very friendly and most helpful.

The property was clean and comfortable.

I will be recommending this property to anyone who asks!

Lovely Peaceful Location

We had a lovely family holiday staying in House A. The location was perfect for us; very peaceful, but near to the town for shopping, swimming in the lake and evening meals. It was also a great base for exploring other towns around the lake and further afield. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean and contained everything we needed. We spent a lot of time around the swimming pool, which was big, clean and well maintained. The local town of Salo was lovely with a long promenade around the bay, from the beach to the old town. It was a real Italian town with all the amenities we required, but without the tourist crowds. We had a great holiday here and would certainly return to this area and to this apartment again. The owners are very helpful and kind.

Special interest holidays:

By the Lake Garda, you can find many sporting attractions such as climbing, diving, fishing, horse riding, mountain bike, paragliding, sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing. For further information please visit www.gardaworld.com. For cultural interest, there is Vittoriale which was D'annunzio's house. Here there is the open theatre arena with many shows in the summer time (opera, ballet, tragedy, comedy, musical etc.) There is also a botanic garden in Gardone Riviera. All towns by the lake have their own beauty.

Coast/Beach:

The lake and beaches of Salò are 5 mins by car, you could walk to it and it would take ½ hour. Then there are other nice beaches a little bit further away like Baia del Vento in S.Felice del Benaco. It is 15 mins by car but it has a parking spot, all beach facilities and a nice restaurant pizzeria where you can eat.

Travel:

Brescia (Montichiari): 35 - 40km far.Verona: about 50km far. Bergamo: about 70km far. Milano (Malpensa): about 195km far. Car hiring in strictly recommended. If you don't want to go around and visit but just stay in the property places it is not essential. To get to the Apartment: Motorway A4 Serenissima Milano-Venezia: Exit Desenzano del Garda-Sirmione and follow directions for Salò, than take the road to Renzano, a 100m later take the street on your right.

Distances:

Salò 2km about. Gardone Riviera 6km about. Toscolano Maderno 12km about. Gargnano 20km. Campione 30km - Brescia 25km - Verona 40km.

Further Details:

All our guests like to write on copybooks that are in both apartments. You can find so many places they enjoyed (or to avioid!) and we think that it is the most sincere way to gain ideas on what to do and where to go!

CLEANING $59.23
Stay tax $0.71 per night, per person. This amount will be due to the manager upon arrival. Does not apply to children under 12 years.

Booking Notes:
If you would like to book you will be asked to pay 200 euros in advance (300 euros if two weeks), which has to be paid by MoneyGram at the Post Office which is less expensive than a bank transfer, but I will give you bank details if you prefer! The rest of the rate has to be paid after you have seen the apartment.

Changeover Day:
Our preferred changeover day is Saturday (especially in summer time) after lunch, while the apartment has to be left by 10am.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property(s) per week in euros for 3-5 persons. In high season (from June to September) if you are 2 persons prices must be decreased of 100€; if you are 6 prices must be increased of 100€. In low season, please ask.
There will be 40 euros to pay at the end of your stay for cleaning expenses.
Attention: if you book 2 weeks there is 50 euros discount per week!
SINCE 2011 THERE IS TOURIST TAX TO BE PAYED TO THE OWNER: €.0,60 per day per person over 12yrs old
