My wife & I are retired and live in Matlock, England. We have three children & six grandchildren that all live abroad therefore we do a lot of travelling to visit our family. We visit our Boavista property as much as possible and are looking forward to spending more time there especially in the winter months.

Boavista enjoys a beautiful location on a headland between Lagos and Praia da Luz, commanding magnificent views of the Bay of Lagos and the distant Monchique Mountains. The property & resort/golf facilities are first class and offer a secure environment.

With an average of 3000 hours of sunshine per year, which is more than California, where better to enjoy your holiday & favourite pastime.

The luxury 1st floor apartment has a full tourist rental licence that complies with the latest Portuguese law (2015). Located in the exclusive Lakeview Village, the property has stunning views from both balconies and enjoys discounted golf fees (35%) and free spa & gym use.

There are many activities in the area including walking, water sports, horse riding, dolphin watching etc. The Autodromo race/kart circuits are approx 25 mins by car from our apartment and are well worth a visit. Courses & track days are available throughout the year.

In the historic town of Lagos you will find a daily fresh fish market, meat/local produce, a wide variety of shops, banks, café bars and restaurants offering a wonderful range of cuisine either in the old town or on the modern marina.

Notes on accommodation: The luxury first floor apartment has a full Tourist Rental Licence which complies with Portuguese law and includes fire extinguishers, fire blanket, first aid kit and important contact numbers for the safety and comfort of our guests. The property is child friendly with high chairs and cots (limited number) available from Careways. A small charge, for the cot & bedlinen, will be made by Careways. The patio doors/windows have electrically operated roller shutters, which assist in keeping the apartment cool and in turn enhance security. There is also a safe for the use of all guests. The apartment is non-smoking only and this must be strictly adhered to. Pets are not allowed. Outside: The property has two well equipped balconies including tables, chairs, sun loungers, parasols and a Weber gas bbq. The swimming pool area is enclosed by fencing and is accessed via a swipe card system for security purposes. The main pool is approximately 28m x 13m x 1.5m deep and heated from April to October. There is also a separate children's pool. Sun beds and shades are provided. There are excellent changing facilities including showers and lockers in the pool area, if required. Parking is adjacent to the pool area in the marked bays. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and towels are included & changed weekly. Towels are also changed mid-week. Daily maid-service is provided to make the beds and tidy the bathrooms/kitchen waste. Pool towels are not provided. Towels are provided by the Spa at a cost of €1. Other: There is a storage room located under the stairs in the entrance hall. This is ideal for the storage of golf equipment etc.

Fabulous views and beautiful Apartment

Just back from Boavista over a week ago and we had a lovely time from the fabulous views from the balcony to all of the amenities available the indoor pool and Spa were fantastic which our two teenage sons enjoyed Phil is such a courteous and helpful host we will definitely go back and have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation as it is lovely.

Beautiful luxury apartment in relaxed setting

This is a fabulous property

Very Clean & comfortable (homely ) & beautiful setting .

Overlooking golf & lake while eating breakfast .

Staff are very nice & pop in everyday for a few minutes - bins etc

& once in week the middle of the week to change towels.

Ideal apartment for us as it was our first time travelling without my daughter so my 16yr old son was happy on his own with wifi & pool & tv

Pool is very relaxed friendly yet private athmosphere . Plenty beds - no rushing down @ 7 with towels . Always bed available whatever time of afternoon we went .

We walked around the area most mornings 4-6km - were not into golf . Supermarket 20min walk ( in back road)

Or 3min drive & has everything . & nice little coffee area there too . ( really cheap for bites / snack )

We drove into Lagos most evenings for dinner

Fantastic array of restaurants to suit everyone taste & buget .

Fav was Portuguese Navegador just up from carpark in the town between both squares &

Restaurante Jardim otherside of town - small quiet place overlooking beech

We ate one night in golf club - fantantastic & good value

The owner was very helpful during all stages - enquiry booking & directions etc .

There is a lovely book in the property of helpful info & tips from previous visitors

I would recommend the property to anyone thinking of visiting Lagos .

Great location great apartment !

We have stayed on this complex 5times before so we were well aware of the virtues of Boavista as a holiday locatation. From the superb golf course to the proximity to Luz and and Lagos and the club houseand spa with its excellent staff and the beautifully maintained grounds . This was definitely our best stay so far . The apartment is in an excellent location directly opposite the community swimming pool . It's also excellently maintained and the careways staff take away the daily grind of making beds and cleaning showers and loos . Mr Kirk was a delight to deal with and very helpful with our questions . We would unreservedly recommend this apartment and this complex .John and Joy Cooke .

Extremely comfortable well equipped apartment

This luxury apartment was in an ideal location in the Boavista complex. The level of furnishing, equipment and general maintenance was quite outstanding. The free internet access and admission to the heated pool facility in the spa were much appreciated and well used by 4 year old grand-daughter! Although we are non-golfers, we would have no hesitation in booking this apartment again - indeed may well do so.

Outstanding apartment in an excellent resort

An outstanding apartment in an excellently managed and luxurious resort.

Everything about this resort was welcoming, easy going and just so enjoyable in every respect. From arriving at the resort to entering the apartment was a breeze thanks to the helpful staff. The apartment is finished to a very high standard and has fantastic views over the golf course with the coast in the distance. It is well equipped and located in one of the best areas of the resort. The local town offers many attractions and is just a few minutes drive. We had a thoroughly good time staying here, I strongly recommend it to anyone who is considering a holiday in Portugal.

The Western Algarve has a dramatic coastline and many beautiful beaches catering for walkers, families and water-sports enthusiasts alike. In contrast are the quaint fishing villages, untouched by time, where the real Portuguese life can be experienced. Whilst the Monchique mountains

offer a challenge for the more serious walker, stunning coastal walks to Praia Da Luz or Porto de Mos can be enjoyed direct from the apartment.


The nearest airport is Faro International. The journey time to Boavista Resort is approximately 50 minutes and is easily reached via the new motorway. Whilst taxi services are available, car hire is highly recommended to get the most out of your holiday.


By car; Lagos, Meia Praia, Ponte de Piedade, Praia Da Luz, Porto de Mos & Praia D'Ana are within a few mins. North; the picturesque mountain town of Monchique is approx. 40 mins and the bustling city of Silves is nearer still. West; the quaint fishing villages of Burgau & Salema are around 10/15 mins and the rugged coastline of Sagres & Cape St. Vincente, the most Westerly place in Europe, is around 40 mins. The nearest Supermarket, Intermache, is less than 5 mins by car (door to door).

There are many activities in the area including excellent water sports in Portimao and horse riding, locally, near Almadena.

In the historic town of Lagos you will find a market selling fresh fish, meat/local produce, a wide variety of shops, banks, café bars and restaurants offering a wonderful range of cuisine either in the old town or on the modern marina.

If you want to do nothing but laze in the sun there are beaches of all shapes & sizes from the long sandy stretch of Meia Praia, some 6km long, to the small cliff bound hide-aways of the Ponte Piedade.

If you feel like giving the beach a miss one day, head up to one of the regions barragems (dams) for a peaceful swim/picnic. The Barragem de Bravura near Odiaxere, on the outskirts of Lagos, is a tranquil haven complete with eucalyptus-scented water for swimming.

Explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Megalithic monuments in Evora. You’ll find dolmen, menhir and cromlech monuments in this area, which was the first on the Iberian Peninsula to be inhabited by humans. The giant and mysterious rocks date back some 5000 years. Whilst there, call into Evora and have lunch in the main square of Praca do Giraldo. With an average of 3000 hours of sunshine per year, which is more than California, where better to enjoy your favourite pastime.

The spectacular Autodromo Motor racing circuit created in 2008, is the most modern in Europe. Incorporating the best features of the world’s premier race circuits, the Autodromo is expecting to host the full range of events (cars & bikes)

Note: Courses & Track Days are available throughout the year; the facilty is approx 25 mins by car from our apartment

The Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve is a multi-purpose karting circuit built alongside the Autodromo. It is suitable for national/international championships to amateur races, or simply for hiring go-karts for pure fun. Having 112 circuit versions it will be one of the biggest Karting facilities in Europe.

25% deposit upon booking - see booking conditions re refund amounts & periods. Balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Late bookings require payment in full on confirmation. All prices are based on a maximum of 4 people sharing and this number should not be exceeded unless agreed, in writing, with the owner. A booking form & full booking conditions will be forwarded for acceptance prior to confirming your booking.

Changeover Day:
The changeover day is flexible. The official arrival and departure times are 4.00pm & 10.00am. However these are flexible in the event that the apartment is not booked on the same day.

Notes on prices:
The property prices stated are per week in UK pounds. The minimum rental period is 4 days, except for July & August as stated and half-term/school holidays, where 7 nights is preferred.


Prices include the apartment rental, all taxes & utility charges, daily maid service, full ADSL Broadband/WiFi, complimentary Spa & Gym membership for a maximum of 4 people & full tourist rental licence which complies with Portuguese law.
