Behind the apartment is the tranquil salt lagoon, home to many birds including beautiful wild flamingos. Calpe offers 13 kilometers of coastline with 14 beaches and coves and is particularly renowned for its long Blue flag golden sandy beaches. Calpe's fishing port and marina is just 500m away. The daily catch can be seen coming to the shore and eaten in the numerous fish restaurants by the port. Guide books liken Calpe to Brittany. In total there are three marinas, the main one is Club Nauticia by the Rock. There are excellent restaurants and shopping facilities close by with a supermarket and bus stop next door. There is a free car park across the road outside the gated complex. However, on site parking is included with 5th Floor apartment. A parking space can be hired separately for 9th Floor apartment from Calpe Rent Apart (reception office) from 5 euros per day. They also hire out cots and high chairs. Tennis courts and crazy golf are available at the next apartment block and the 9 hole Don Cayo Golf Club, Altea and the Ifach Golf Club are only a short drive away.

Why Owner chose Calpe
My disabled Aunt purchased the apartment when it was built. She fell in love with the views of the sea and the rock from the balcony. There are luscious gardens and an indoor spa pool. It is a safe and friendly place. There is a stunning promenade and a well equipped supermarket next door with a bus stop outside as well as dozens of excellent restaurants. To the rear of the property there are beautiful views of the mountains. It is just under an hour by taxi from Alicante airport. There is plenty to do for those who are more active like sailing, walking and golf which are the activities we enjoy. The surrounding towns are delightful as is the old part of Calpe and the harbour and marina. The Rock is spectacular and is enjoyed by walkers, climbers, bird lovers and flower enthusiasts.
What makes this Apartment unique
The location is perfect. You can get a suntan on the balcony and the sunsets are amazing. The pool's fountain is lit up at night time and is quite magical so you could stay on the balcony all day and evening. We love the new indoor spa pool (which is open from October to May) and often have it to ourselves. We enjoy jogging along the beach before a healthy breakfast of delicious fresh fruit from the market. For those who like something different there is a bowling green. Calpe has plenty of colourful festivals which attract people from nearby towns. Calpe certainly has something for everyone.

Lovely apartment in a great location.
We have been to Calpe (Playa de la Fossa) a number of times and have always stayed in the same accommodation. This time we chose to go somewhere different and boy, did we make the right decision.
This apartment is ideally located along the beach front which means that it is right in the heart of the shops, bars and restaurants. The apartment is cosy and clean with a large balcony that has a pleasant view over the pool area, with the beach, sea and Penyal d'Ifac in the background.
There is everything that you need and expect for a self catering holiday and that even includes a private car parking space. The bed is very comfortable and the bedroom and living area both have ceiling fans that are very welcome for keeping you cool after a day in the sun. The kitchen is fully equipped with a hob, cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle fridge freezer, plates, pots, pans etc.
To be honest, the only problem I have with writing this review is that it might make it more difficult for us to book it again for next year!!

Lovely apartment in a great location
This is a lovely apartment in a great location, this was our second stay here and we love it and have made some great memories. Mary & Tony the owners can’t do enough for you always helpful with tips on where to go etc, we would definitely recommend this place

We have just returned from our annual stay in 45C. We have been staying here since 2009, so to be honest this says it all.
The apartment is fantastic, great location, fantastic views and exceptional inside and out. The grounds are always well kept, and the staff are all very nice. It's been a great addition adding the sun loungers by the pool, and with the beach a hop skip and a jump away you could not be in a more perfect place in my opinion.
The apartment itself is lovely, has everything you would need,always clean when we arrive, and it always feels homely, we like nothing better than sitting on the sofa on the balcony just taking in the view. The situation of the apartment is great, you can walk out and you are right on the prom, with restaurants and bars to your left or right. The port is about 5 mins away and its nice to be down there and watch the fishermen come in with their catch. There is a bus stop right outside, so easy to get into town if you don't fancy the walk. All in all fantastic.
Mary & Tony are great hosts, and as long as they will have as, we will continue to go to what I think of as our second home. I just wish we could go over more often.

6th Excellent holiday at this apartment
This is our 6th year at this apartment and we cannot praise it enough. The owners are well organised in their approach, the apartment is well kept with everything necessary. It is conveniently situated for supermarkets, the beach and for exploring the surrounding area. We are looking forward to returning next year.

The apartment is quietly situated along the three mile promenade overlooking one of Calpe's 3 "blue flag" beaches -ideal for children and offering a great selection of water sports in summer time. There are boat trips to Benidorm and Denia. The small local cove of Les Bassettes offers windsurfing, kayaking and catamaran sailing as well and scuba diving and instruction from English speaking staff. There is a gentle path with handrails up the first half of the Rock where there is a museum.
Alicante airport is 70km (approx) from Calpe, which takes just under an hour by car. Valencia airport is 120 km (approx)about an hour and a half by car. The coach via Benidorm costs 8 euros. There is also a train service from Alicante to Calpe as well as taxis. Parking is free outside the apartment complex. A car is not necessary as everything is within walking distance.
The beautiful marina and fishing harbour with its open air fish restaurants is 300m away. The town centre is 2 km away. All distances are approximate: Altea 10 km (beautiful old town popular with local artists and craftesmen), Moraira 15 km, Jalon 16 km, Benedorm 22 km,(with its beautiful beaches and new theme parks) Javea 26 km and Gudalest 26 km (with its hill top monastery) and the El Agar waterfalls.
The local area offers a stunning coastline with calm pristine beaches, dizzying coastal cliffs, hidden inland valleys and ravines. The town itself has a wealth of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants to cater for every taste. The old town is full of narrow streets, traditional houses with beautiful window boxes and a museum. There are Roman remains along the coast. Ideal for those who enjoy walking, climbing, water sports or just sitting in the sun. Young people will enjoy the newly built science and art complex with the modern Oceanographic Park (Valencia) now the largest in Europe. Terra Mitica (Benidorm), one of Europe's largest theme parks is just half an hour away, as is the Marine and Exotic Animal Park (Mundomar,Benidorm).
