Apartment in Santa Luzia, Nr. Tavira, Eastern Algarve - Fabulous Village Location, 2 Minutes To Waterfront And Watertaxi To Secluded Beach

Jardins de Santa Luzia is a small (16 units) apartment block nestling in the heart of the village, the octopus fishing capital of the Algarve. Apartment "Q" is on the second (top) floor, it is extremely quiet and private and comprises a living room, double bedroom, full bathroom and well equipped kitchen. It has a spacious terrace , sunloungers, table and chairs . It is fully registered with the local authority and as such has been passed as being fully suitable for holiday rentals. The block has a secure underground car park and swimming pool. Location is 2 kms from nearby Tavira, 30kms to Faro airport and 25kms to the Spanish border. The nearest beach is the truly wonderful, blue flag, Terra Estreita, which is accessed by a speed boat from a jetty some 300m from the apartment (2 euros return ). This is still a relatively unknown beach. Further west is the famous Barril beach accessed by a pleasant 600m walk or by a little toy train. This would be a haven for gourmet beach/walking lovers! Broadband. This is one of three similar apartments all managed by the same person, if this is fully booked there may be another in the block available.

As I cannot make up my mind between Southern Ireland and the Easter Algarve I commute between the two each year. I have owned property in the latter since 2002. Both locations are unspoilt, the people unspoilt and they offer something special.

Finding and renovating property has always been the love of my live so all my properties are individual and furnished and equipped to a high standard. All are all in superb locations whether they be surrounded by the lush Irish countryside or Portugese orange groves.

Why gaynor stapleton chose Tavira region

Sta Luzia is still a fishermans village despite being invaded by the whole of Lisbon in the high season of July and August. It offers superb bars, restaurants and facilities in a lovely lagoon-side setting. The beach Terra de Estreita is close to hand via local speed boats.

Jardins de Santa Luzia is one of the only apartment blocks (16 apartments) to be in the heart of the old town but yet offering a salt water swimming pool and underground garage.

What makes this apartment unique

One can enjoy a carless holiday in Sta Luzia. It is possible to walk (or borrow the bicyles available to cycle ) to the beach, the shops, numerous restaurants and bars. There is a regular, reliable airport shuttle to the town or a driver for a collection/delivery.

The apartment itself , like the village , is special but a visit is neccessary to establish exactly why!!!! 80% of the bookings are repeats whether they be annual or less frequent.

A host of activities are now available in the area. Quad biking/Safari jeep outings into the hills, Angling, painting classes - all by arrangement.

Coast/Beach:

Two minutes walk to the waterfront from where one catches a boat to the stunning Terra Estreita beach. Barril beach is four minutes drive away here there is a little train to the beach or one can walk/cycle

Travel:

Faro airport 35 minutes drive away. Tavira station 4 minutes drive. Airport Shuttle available to the door.

Distances:

In heart of village. Waterfront, bars, shops, restaurants all within 5 minutes walk.

Further Details:

Short, cheap taxi ride into Tavira (under €5) Numerous restaurants, some superb, daily market, international film festival in summer, sailing, deep sea fishing, cycling (two bikes supplied with apartment if required).

Fabulous, as always!

Everything you need, and more, in a spacious private apartment. Comfy bed, plenty of hot water, loads of equipment and

very clean and tidy. Near the boat to the beach and great restaurants. Our second visit and no doubt we will be back again next year!
