The villa is situated in a quiet residential street with a private 8x4m pool and landscaped gardens. The large sunny terrace leads to a spacious, shaded living area with comfortable seating and huge, rustic dining table, and BBQ. Shops, restaurants, the sea and the main road into Kyrenia are a pleasant 8 minute walk away. The fully air conditioned villa sleeps six in comfort with two bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen. There is satellite TV, DVD Player and DVDs, Radio/CD player and CDs, books and games. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, iron and ironing board and a chilled water dispenser. We also supply huge towels for the sunbeds, plus towels to take to the beach.
We are a "young" retired couple, married for nearly 45 years with two grown-up sons. Because we ran our own small business we never committed ourselves to package holidays until some friends urged us to join them on holiday in N Cyprus. We never looked back!
We believe in supporting the local economy, so we've furnished the villa using local suppliers and artisans-most of the furniture was made by a local carpenter. We want everyone who stays with us to feel at home and relaxed.
Mike & Jan Farmery purchased this villa in 2003
We fell in love with this area and the people, because to us, this is how England was when we were kids.
People are friendly and helpful and because they are so honest themselves they are trusting in return.
Our villa is in a quiet street, amongst local residents, but a short walk to the sea, the supermarkets, local shops and restaurants, and the main road where you can catch a Dolmas into town, so it is quite possible to stay here without need of a car.
We also love this location because it is easy to find again when you first arrive!
We love the peace and quiet, the privacy of the pool and terrace area, the changing face of the mountains during the day, the illumination of St. Hilarion Castle at night; we love lounging on the terrace and watching the para-gliders as they descend to the landing space nearby, and when we feel the need to exercise, it's a delight to stroll in the colourful and scented garden.
We had a lovely relaxing holiday having our own pool was fantastic. Erica 2009.
Your villa is absolutely beautiful we love the BBQ and the whole ambiance of the place. We went to Antigua in February and I loved Cyprus more. We'll be back. Michelle 2009.
Thank you for sharing your lovely villa with us for the second year running. The garden and the pool area looked great. Looking forward to returning. Rita 2009.
What a lovely villa! Can't believe you don't live there yourselves! Steve 2010
Loved having our own private pool-late night swims were fun-and the whole place feels very relaxing. Fantastic- we'll come again. Annette 2011
Our family spent a great month in your comfortable villa and the children loved the pool. Lovely to be able to walk to the shops and restaurants and yet be in such a quiet place. Igor 2011
Oh we'll be back! Willina 2012
5 star accomodation. The pics above dont really do it justice, esp the pool, BBQ and pergola areas. Spent most of time here either eating, sunning or in the pool. the music system in the pergola area was also a bonus.
Good size pool, private and enclosed. We had two kids and two adults and plenty outdoor space.
Great welcome pack as well as local knowledge and advice from Val/Yusef upon arrival.
Villa in a quiet street/area but ony 5/10 mins walk to main dolmus route between Kyrenia and Lapta.
We hired a car for part of the holiday which I would recommed to get to some of the out of the way places, esp in the heat of July.
Owners of the villa were very helpful at arranging car hire/taxi transfers and any minor issues we had were dealt with straight away.
Would def recommend this villa.
Received a warm welcome on arrival from Yusuf and the welcome park had been changed to suit are needs and was very much appreciated. We had issues with the air con but this was soon rectify. The shaded area outside was very welcome and comfortable, the pool was lovely. Gabi and Yusuf recommend some lovely restaurants all of which we tried and they were amazing. The harbour is a lovely place to sit and have a drink and people watch. Breakfast at the baker in Catalkoy is an experience not to miss. The villa is in a quite location perfect for chilling out but not to far from the harbour. We think the villa would have benefited from having a microwave but apart from that it was perfect. On the whole we would recommend this villa.
This has been one of the best villas we have stayed at over the years. The welcome pack was full of all sorts saving the need to go shopping as soon as you arrive. It was within comfortable walking distance of a number of restaurants as well as a couple of supermarkets. The shaded outside seating areas were well used by the men whilst the rest of us enjoyed the sunbeds! We hired a car which was useful for sightseeing and supermarket trips but could see that it would have been quite possible to manage without one. We were after a quiet relaxing holiday in the sun and that's exactly what we got!
We enjoyed our stay at Villa Neptune. The villa is attractive and well cared for. It's strength is the large and pretty outside area: it has plenty of shade for those who seek it and plenty of sunny spots too. The pool is a good size and there are plenty of sun loungers and chairs. Two tables (in shade and sun) gives a choice of places to eat out of doors. The fairy lights around the poolside are lovely at night! There are several places to eat locally - although these are a bit of a stroll. Taxis were easy and reasonably priced when we felt lazy. There are also 2 supermarkets, shops and pharmacy close by - which catered for all our needs. Beaches, we found, were a bit of a disappointment - this not the fault of the owners of course - this is the geography of the area and excellent beaches can be found if you are prepared to drive some distance. The views both from the villa, and all around the locality are simply superb and make up for this. If you like a quieter holiday: this would certainly suit you.
The sea is only an 8 minute walk away where there is a beach bar with pool facilities. If you decide to hire a car then the beach options are endless, some only a short ride away. We give directions to a selection of beaches in "The Book of the Villa", to help you get started.
The nearest Airport is Ercan which is about 40 minutes drive away. You can also fly into Larnaca (in Southern Cyprus) and we can arrange transfer by taxi. For flights into Ercan, try Pegasus (www.flypgs) or Turkish Airlines.
It is advisable to hire a car(which we can arrange for you) as there are many sites to see and beaches to die for.
The village of Karaoglanoglu is 6 minutes walk, and Girne
(Kyrenia) with its beautiful harbour, castle, museums and shops is 4 km to the East.
The sea, local shops, Banks, and a very good supermarket stocking a large array of English products and many first class restaurants are all within walking distance.
