The Villa, Casa das Tres Palmeiras is on a gentle sloping hillside with gorgeous views overlooking the Bay of Lagos and Palmares golf course. It is approx 2 miles from Lagos. The villa has 4 double bedrooms - 2 are en-suite,1 further bathroom, sitting/dining room and new kitchen. A terrace surrounds 2 sides of the house part of which is covered. The swimming pool is above the house with lovely views over it to the sea beyond. Mina, the maid prepares the bedrooms with sheets, towels and beach towels, prior to your arrival, and comes in during the week to give a spruce up.

Why Jenny Denman chose Meia Praia
Our villa was built by my mother-in-law 60 years ago and was one of the first properties to be built on Meia Praia. She had the foresight to build the villa in walking distance from the wonderful beach, enjoying views of the sea and Lagos. Fortunately this area still remains unspoilt, is wonderfully quiet, but it is easy to get to the local historical town of Lagos, and the new Marina by car, train, bus or a 40 minute walk. However there are several restaurants within easy walking distance
What makes this Villa unique
There are very few places with such magnificent peace and quiet, views, private pool which is not over-looked. The design of the villa allows you to sit in the sun or shade outside at any time of the day. Our guests always say that the position is 'perfect'!

- Notes on accommodation: There is a "Baby Dan" travel cot available in the villa for guests to use if they wish. Outside: There is a planted garden area above and below the pool and there are sun loungers/and a covered area around the pool and tables and chairs on the terrace surrounding the villa. The pool is 10 x 5 metres and is not heated but is very private and not overlooked. There are two BBQs. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Mina, our lovely maid makes beds and provides towels and beach towels prior to your arrival and comes in during week to freshen things up. Other: The 4th bedroom has views across the bay to Lagos.

Thank you Jenny for sharing your lovely home with us. we enjoyed our stay immensely.
The terrace and pool area with it`s red brick tiling was just to our taste. We cooked many times together and enjoyed the seaview both day and evening. If we are ever in this area again we will be sure to contact you.

3 weeks of wall to wall sunshine, table tennis, swimming, barbeques - easy walk down to the beach bars to enjoy prawns, squid and draught Vinho Verde......what could be nicer!

We have been to the property a couple of times, and always had a lovely holiday. The villa has everything you need including a well-equipped kitchen plus a washing machine. We had a toddler, so it was great that there was travel cot, and a high-chair was ordered for us. The property is in a good location to get to the beach, and there is good selection of places to eat. We are planning to go there again in the future!

Our group of friends found this villa the ideal balance. Private pool, plenty of games, music, DVDs and books for those who wanted to relax. The villa is cool, airy and very clean. The verandah was the ideal spot for having meals or a BBQ, and to watch the world go by. The location is perfect for those who wanted a swim at the beach which is literally down the road. Mini market and local beach bars/restaurants nearby. Access to Lagos town is easy and has lots on offer: restaurants, shopping, nightlife and history. There is a local train that only takes 4 minutes and taxis are cheap to get back.We even walked along the beach one evening, which is just lovely. Villa management and owner were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely, well-appointed home. We had an incredible visit and having the Villa to come back to after a long day of touring made our experience very pleasant. We enjoyed many hours at the pool, soaking in the lovely view. We did not need the fans most nights, only 2. The owner is a gracious hostess and answered all of our questions. She made traveling to the Villa very easy. We enjoyed dining at all three of the local restaurants (2 on the beach and 1 at the round-about. The villa is located up the hill from the beach, approximately 1/2 mile. We walked the beach into Lagos and found it easy to cross the river using the new water taxi. The views from the villa are breathtaking! We had 8 adults in this home and never felt crowded. The beds were very comfortable. The villa is located in a very private and quiet area, which made for great sleeping! There is a mini mart on the beach with limited supplies. I recommend walking to town, going to the market and taking a taxi home for more extensive shopping.
If we are ever fortunate to visit Portugal again, I wouldn't hesitate to book this same property!

This is a beautiful, comfortable villa designed to make the most of the fabulous 180 degree sea views. The villa is well-equipped and spacious and with excellent access to the town of Lagos. It is walking distance to the beach. We think this is one of the best locations in the Algarve and we recommend it highly. This is our third visit.

Coast/Beach:
The beach below the villa is about 400 metres away, is lovely and sandy and stretches all the way to Lagos. It is safe for children and there are 2 great beach restaurants directly in front of the house. The wild West coast beaches up from Cape St Vincent are about 45 minutes away by car. There is also a good beach with water sports at Luz, about 15 minutes away.
Travel:
Faro is the nearest airport and is easily reached in about an hour by car. Lisbon is about 3 hours away - excellent roads, and sometimes you can get cheaper flights from Lisbon.
Distances:
Lagos is about 2 miles by road and has a marina and is the original port of Henry the Navigator.
Further Details:
Lagos is full of pretty, old buildings. There is an abundance of restaurants and interesting little shops and there is a comprehensive market offering locally grown fruit, vegetables, fish and meat. There are several supermarkets just on the edge of town. There is a wide selection of banks. There is also a good health centre.

Booking Notes: A deposit of £500 (non refundable) is required at the time of booking with the balance paid 6 weeks before departure Changeover Day: Changeover day is generally Saturday, but within reason we are flexible, although try to avoid Sundays. Arrival should be after 2pm and departure before 10am. Notes on prices: Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Long winter lets by arrangement.
