Why Jenny Denman chose Meia Praia
Our villa was built by my mother-in-law 60 years ago and was one of the first properties to be built on Meia Praia. She had the foresight to build the villa in walking distance from the wonderful beach, enjoying views of the sea and Lagos. Fortunately this area still remains unspoilt, is wonderfully quiet, but it is easy to get to the local historical town of Lagos, and the new Marina by car, train, bus or a 40 minute walk. However there are several restaurants within easy walking distance
What makes this Villa unique
There are very few places with such magnificent peace and quiet, views, private pool which is not over-looked. The design of the villa allows you to sit in the sun or shade outside at any time of the day. Our guests always say that the position is 'perfect'!

Homely house with sea view
Excellent place to spend a relaxing holiday with friends and family. Bonus points for the DVDs, boardgames, books and mosquito nets.

The perfect beach house
The house is wonderful, light and airy with views across the bay to Lagos and to the sea. The 3 bedrooms facing the sea allow you to drift off to the sound of waves lapping the shore.
The living room has the most amazing views to the coast through three large windows and gives access to the terrace that runs right around the house.
There are so many parts of the house that you can sit and enjoy the location, not least the large pool area above the house. Something else we loved was how many different kinds of birds are living in the trees just outside the house and happy to come and take any crumbs you’ll offer them.
Overall an amazing house in a wonderful location, fully equipped for a very relaxing holiday. It was a pleasure to deal with everyone connected to managing the house, particularly the warm reception we got from housekeeper, Mina. Suitable for a couple or larger group.

This is an annual trip by to Casa dasTres Palmeiras, as it is the most relaxing place with stunning views, close to the beach and it's fabulous fish restaurants, it is well-equipped as a holiday house, with the private pool, games, table tennis, music.....and the weather was perfect!.......the closest place to Heaven!
Charming villa with beautiful views
Villa is nicely laid out with plenty of space for our party of four adults and three children. The pool area is lovely and set above the house with wonderful sea views. Ample terraces surrounding the property so it is always possible to find somewhere either in or out of the sun. We stayed in February, so not much open nearby; but we expected this. In season there are restaurants and beach bars within a short walk. Beautiful long and sandy beach just a few minutes walk from the villa. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. Plenty of help and advice from the owners and their agent both before and during our short stay. Heartily recommended.

Fantastic views - very private
The villa has a really homely feel. We were surprised to receive a lovely welcome pack with wine, soft drinks, nibbles, etc. The villa was very clean and comfortable - the log burner kept us warm in the evenings. It was a great place to stay - easy to walk down to the beach restaurants for fabulous fish and vinho verde....and 45 minutes to walk along the beach to the Marina. We will certainly go again!

Coast/Beach:
The beach below the villa is about 400 metres away, is lovely and sandy and stretches all the way to Lagos. It is safe for children and there are 2 great beach restaurants directly in front of the house. The wild West coast beaches up from Cape St Vincent are about 45 minutes away by car. There is also a good beach with water sports at Luz, about 15 minutes away.
Travel:
Faro is the nearest airport and is easily reached in about an hour by car. Lisbon is about 3 hours away - excellent roads, and sometimes you can get cheaper flights from Lisbon.
Distances:
Lagos is about 2 miles by road and has a marina and is the original port of Henry the Navigator.
Further Details:
Lagos is full of pretty, old buildings. There is an abundance of restaurants and interesting little shops and there is a comprehensive market offering locally grown fruit, vegetables, fish and meat. There are several supermarkets just on the edge of town. There is a wide selection of banks. There is also a good health centre.
