About David Saisi
Ciao, I'm David and from 2005 I manage Le Capanne holiday house. Before I worked as an HR manager in a TLC company. From 2005 to now I have seen about 1000 persons in my property and each one has helped me increasing my love for Garfagnana area. From 2013 I'm a mountains guide and I manage the Battiferro park in Fornovolasco: we offer canyoning for families and a lot of fun. See you soon David
David Saisi purchased this Apartment in 2005
Why David Saisi chose Fabbriche di Vergemoli
The first time I saw The huts in 2005 fell in love with this place with spectacular views of the surrounding villages and mountains. Since then every time I come here I'm happy with my choice

Amazing house and location
Stayed there in October with my husband and son. The location is amazing, with breathtaking views. Really peaceful too. The house is lovely and has everything you would need for a holiday. Daniele met us and directed us to the house, which was great as it's not the easiest place to find. We were really late as flight was delayed and we got a bit lost, but he was so kind and understanding. Thanks again Daniele. I would highly recommend staying here. Couldn't fault it at all. Just beautiful.
Rustic charm. Amazing views.
Remote with breathtaking views
This home was full of character located in the Apuan Alps, with amazing views. The old farmhouse is divided into 4 apartments and the pool and grounds are shared by all the guests. We could enjoy all the facilities without any trouble.
Our host was very kind and made our stay very welcoming. He provided us with lots of information about the local area and things to do.
The house is located 30 min drive on a very narrow mountain pass, from the closest town - Gallicano. The caves are well worth visiting and a hike to Calomini Hermitage is also recommended.
The facilities were basic, but everything worked and our stay was perfectly comfortable. Internet connection was intermittent due to location.
We enjoyed a peaceful and restful stay at this house! Thank you!
marvellous, quiet idyll in the hills
This is a beautiful and beautifully kept property: the four apartments are discrete, so there is plenty of privacy. The pool is gorgeous and the garden well kept. A real idyll. Davide, the owner, is very helpful and has a lot of good suggestions on things to do in the area. The house is absolutely perfect if you want relaxed days in a beautiful corner of Italy.
Stunning views in an authentic setting...
If you are looking for a place outside the ordinary, with fantastic views, great pool area and a super friendly host this is it. A combination of an authentic old place in the most beautiful and quiet setting, however with facilities of great quality. Thanks David!

The Viareggio and Versilia coast is about 75 minutes away by car but can also be reached by bus or train. The Cinque Terre is also within easy reach by car or by train (about 2,5 hours).
Nearest airport is Pisa approx 1 hour drive away. This gives you the choice of flying from locations throughout the UK and also allows you to take advantage of the many low cost airlines that now fly to the region.
Although there is train service to Barga-Gallicano (about 10 km from the property) we would suggest that a car is essential.
Once you arrive, with so much space and such peaceful surroundings it is hard to tear yourself away but the close proximity to many of Italy's major attractions including Lucca and Pisa make this an ideal base from which to explore.
Barga, a mediaeval walled town with summer music festival and beautiful 11th century cathedral, 20 km. Lucca, 'city of art', has cultural events, antique markets and many fine shops, 50 km. Pisa, with its leaning tower, 'Campo Santo' and riverside palaces, 45km.
