About Pamela and Lee Jenkins
I moved into the house in 1994, and purchased it in 1998. Upon our marriage in 1999, my husband moved in with me. For 16 years this was our family home and saw the addition of two children. When the opportunity to buy a larger home nearby presented itself, we moved, but kept the house so we could give others the opportunity to experience downtown Anchorage living.
Pamela and Lee Jenkins purchased this Cottage in 1998
Why Pamela and Lee Jenkins chose South Addition
I bought this house because the area presented the kind of close-knit neighborhood feel I was looking for in a home. Although Anchorage is a very transient place, we have many neighbors who have been here for decades, just as I have been for over 20 years. At the same time, there have been new additions across all age groups, keeping the atmosphere fresh and lively.
What makes this Cottage unique
You can walk to a bakery, a well-stocked grocery, and many downtown attractions. There are bus stops for 4 public transit buses within two blocks. And, if you're driving, the major roads into, out of, and through the city are easily accessible.

Cozy Home, Lovely Hosts
We had a fantastic stay! Pam and Lee were so kind as to provide toys for our son and ensure we were well stocked with snacks and drinks. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We could have stayed forever!
The location is perfect for walking into downtown Anchorage or to our favorite spot, Fire Island Bakeshop. We're already plotting our return! Thank you for a fabulous stay!
We loved having you, thank you for taking such good care of our little cottage! I hope you make it back soon,; and I get to meet you! Thank you so much for your kind words...it made my heart so happy that you enjoyed our little cottage!
Great Location with ALL the amenities
We were amazed by this little cabin and all it had to offer. The location is perfect, and the hosts were quick to respond to any question or need at anytime day/night. The place was FULLY (and I mean FULLY) stocked with everything you could want/need. I can't even begin to express how nice it was to be able to arrive very late one night, then wake up and have breakfast the next morning before heading to the grocery store! They even left a gift card to try a local bakery that was within walking distance of the place! (WORTH the walk!) If you accidently missed something while packing, you wouldn't have to worry if you were staying here. I am convinced they have EVERYTHING you could possibly need. The house is equipped with all the amenities of home and then some. The beds are comfortable. We also enjoyed having an office and laundry area. We would definitely stay here again.
We would love having you again Karie, you took such great care of our little cottage! It really makes my heart happy when I hit the mark with my guest. I really appreciate your kind words! Hope to see you again at Cedar Alley!

Well stocked lovely home for a week in Anchorage. Especially loved the moose on the sidewalk when we were leaving one morning for Kincaid park. Close to everything. We will be back

Best rental home ever!
What a delight! Small, comfortable house within easy walk to downtown. House was so nicely set up, well maintained and everything provided that you might need. Like staying in your best friend's house. Everything was so thoughtfully provided - soft robes and slippers, cleats for ice walking, toiletries, basic food supplies like milk, cream, eggs, butter, cheese, fruit, cookies and treats and lots of candy. We have stayed in nice rentals all over the world, but the thoughtful touches provided at this house made it the best ever. Thank you to the wonderful hosts!
Thank you so much!! Hearing a response like that makes the effort so worth it; we really want our guest to have a wonderful stay and not have to worry about anything; I am so glad we hit the mark with you! Thank you for taking such good care of our little cottage!
To echo all the other 5-star reviews, we were really glad to have chosen this cottage. It honestly felt like home, was nicely decorated, and was outfitted with more household items, food, and extras than any rental we’ve stayed in. We loved having a washer and dryer and full kitchen. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet to sleep. Plenty of towels and blankets were provided. The location was so convenient to everything you’ll want to do in Anchorage. The owners were very nice as well. We were there in the winter but hope to return in the summer so we can use the nice deck and grill area.
Thank you Vanessa, we lived having you; you took such great care of our little cottage; the ideal guest!🤗
