Hi, We are Clare and Rosie.

We have been great friends for over 20 years and approx 10 years ago decided to buy our first overseas apartment together. Clare lives in Hampshire and Rosie lives with her husband and son in the New Forest.

As we both work in a customer facing environment, we know how important it is to give excellent customer service and we like to make sure that we give excellent service to our guests too.

We try to think of everything you might ask and include answers in our website or emails that we send. We also try to include anything you might need in our apartments so that we make your holiday as wonderful as we can.

We fell in love with our apartment the moment we walked into the lounge. WOW! What a view from our balcony! It is stunning, awesome, breathtaking, indescribable by day & at night, every night feels as special as Christmas Eve -even in the summer- because the lights on Nendaz mountain twinkle making it look like one big christmas tree.

The village is charming & unspoilt; uncommercial yet with all the restaurants and shops you need. All the villagers are friendly & most speak English.

The skiing is FANTASTIC! Over 400km. Brilliant for all abilities. Excellent ski school.

In summer the mountain paths and bisses are wonderful to walk or bike along.

We have skied and travelled in many alpine resorts worldwide & Veysonnaz definitely has the best of everything.

What makes this apartment unique

Again, we have to say our view - it is spectacular! If you read our testimonials on our website, you'll see that nearly everyone mentions it!

Our property is just down from the high street so close for all the restaurants and shops.

Veysonnaz is under 2 hours drive from Geneva and our apartment has its own parking space. The parking at the gondola is free too.

Apartment was great, loads of living space, fantastic showers, great under-floor heating. The last run down each night on Piste de l'Ours was always something to look forward to - it's up there in my top 3 favourite runs - as is the black running down the Thyon side - absolutely glorious! A great ski week - superb weather and powder snow - blue skies. Apartment very comfortable and well equipped. What a view!!!! For adventurous skiers the run from the top of the Greppon Blanc over the back to Eteygeon is a classic! The C family in Jan.

A very well appointed and well equipped apartment

We were a party of 6 - two couples and two singles so the accommodation worked well , though personal storage for the singles was accomplished by sharing with the main bedroom. The apartment is wonderfully situated with fantastic views, very warm, an unending supply of hot water and provided everything we could need for a week's stay. Very quiet, with adequate parking even for a 9 seater. The walk into the village is quite a fitness warm up in itself, but once up the hill there is easy access to shops, restaurants and the main ski lift. We were particularly impressed by the efficient and helpful staff in the NA ski shop and lift office after internet bookings made from the UK. A very good system.

Booking the apartment was very straight forward and the personal attention of Rosie and Clare made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The snow conditions helped, of course, but this was the best skiing week I have had for years.

Our holiday in Veysonnaz 2015

This property is just perfect for our young family and we have been coming here for the past few years now.

It is light and airy and have of course has great view across the valley night or day.

We always appreciate the flexibility offered by the owners as we always arrive late in the evening on our first day.

We find the apartment ideally placed for access to the larger town of Sion in the valley and also to many other towns such as Chamonix in France which is only a 90 minute drive away.

We would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone else including families or singles in future and we will for sure be back ourselves again in future.

Fantastic Holiday

This has been our 9th time visiting Veysonnaz and we have been to the same villa every time. We go with another family and have visited in February and also April and the snow has always been great. We always have a fantastic time. The villa has the most amazing views, is conveniently located to the ski lifts. You can either walk there or catch the local free bus, or take the car. The village is just a short walk away. The villa is just like home, very comfortable, everything you need and a peaceful location where you can come back and relax after a hard day skiing. Claire and Rosie, the owners have always been excellent, keeping in touch and giving any advice when needed. We will always go back to this villa, fantastic time had by all, thank you Claire and Rosie.

Yes, the snow is always good. We skied at Easter this year and it dumped a metre and a half on the slopes in the 2 weeks before we went so the snow was fantastic! We skied all the way across to Verbier and the pistes there were not as good as what we had. We know you'll agree - Veysonnaz is definitely the resort to stay in!!

Family Ski Holiday

We took the family to Veysonnaz in the 4 Vallees for a late season ski week (early Apr'15). The chalet was excellent with fab views and was a good size for our family of five. It was in very clean condition and had all the facilities we required including two bathrooms, good size kitchen/diner, ski storage and car parking. Veys was a lovely village with a couple of nice restuarants and bars (that offered wifi), ski hire and ski school and a small super marche.

The late season snow was excellent but did get a little soft on the lower slopes. We had ample skiing between Veyz and Thyon and the runs catered for all levels of the family. We did not get the opportunity to explore Nendaz or Verbier due to having young children but it appears easy enough to do.

All in all a great spot and we will definitely be returning. Thanks to Rosie and Clare who were very helpful with our stay in the Chalet and visit to Veyz.

We knew there would be great snow for you - there always is! It has a fantastic snow record, even at the end of the season. The pistes are always well managed and as you found, there are plenty of runs to keep you busy in Thyon and Veysonnaz. Yes, it is easy to ski across through Siviez and Nendaz onto Verbier and back in a day - you can stay on the reds and blues to do this or try a few blacks if you want to be adventurous! You mentioned about using WiFi in the bars and restaurants and we can now arrange for guests to have access to WiFi from our management company for their stay. We are delighted that you would like to stay with us again and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Not quite what we had expected

Plus points: Rosie and Clare provided comprehensive information about the resort and the accommodation which was very helpful, and responded very promptly to any questions we had. The flat was very warm, clean and light, although the sofas could do with a clean. The view of the New Years Eve fireworks across the valley was fantastic.

Minus points: The "cabin room with bunk beds" is NOT a room. It is a cramped bunk right in the main corridor, so no privacy and very squashed. We were 5 adults and certainly wouldn't have wanted to be any more. We were also a bit unfortunate that there were very noisy families staying in the neighbouring apartments, so we were woken early by loud voices every morning. The location is OK but not super convenient. It is a pretty steep uphill walk to the nearest shops, bars and ski lifts (a good 10 mins). We ended up renting a locker by the lifts for our skis and boots. The ski bus was only running at 30 min intervals and stopped running completely for a couple of hours over lunch time, so we couldn't really come back for lunch. As Clare and Rosie warn, the only nearby supermarket is extremely overpriced even by Swiss resort standards.

We take great pride in our apartment, so thanks for letting us know about the sofas. There have been several guests after you and none have commented on them so we will ask our management company to inspect them and get them professionally cleaned if needed. The week you stayed was New Year, one of the busiest in the resort. Lots of families celebrate at this time and most still wish to ski from the moment the gondolas are open - even on New Years Day, so they are likely to be up early. So glad you enjoyed the firework displays in the valley - it is a fantastic experience to see them from above instead of below, so colourful! From your comments, we think that you might not have had a chance to look at all the information on our website or in the folder in the apartment as both have comprehensive details about the apartment and the village, including the ski bus and the shops. There are steps by the apartment that take you up to the High Street and the top ski bus stop - it takes under 5 minutes to be in the High Street using them. We do recommend that guests store their skis and boots in the lockers at the gondola as they are very reasonably priced and convenient. Also, we are unsure why you chose to use the bunk beds and not one or both of the comfortable double sofa beds in the lounge. We often have parties of 6 to 8 guests staying and many return year after year as they love the apartment and Veysonnaz so much. We have been renting our apartment to guests for over 12 years and all prior testimonials have been complimentary so we do hope that future guests will take the time to read our other reviews on this site and also those on our own website as well.

The Gondola

Special interest holidays:

For summer, just relax and do your own thing walking/biking on 300km of signposted paths in the beautiful mountains or join in with the organised 'Sun & Fun' Activity weeks which run in July & August. Divided into 3 age ranges - 'The Bear Club' 4-8 years is free and offers theme days such as Indians; theatre; pottery; visit to farm and donkey riding. For 9-15 years and adult groups, activities include guided walks; mountain bike tours; football; tennis; wall climbing; BMX; swimmimg and archery. And for all - a night in the Indian Wigwam. In June you can see one of Switzerland's most picturesque customs - the taking of the cows to the high pasture.

Coast/Beach:

Whilst Veysonnaz cannot offer you the sea, the shores of Lac Leman, one of Switzerland's largest lakes are within an hour's drive.

Travel:

Many ways to travel:

1)Fly to Geneva then 2 hours by train/car from Geneva to Sion + 15 mins drive by car/taxi to Veysonnaz itself. Competitive car hire available from Geneva airport.

2) Ferry/tunnel & self-drive through France.

3)Train/TGV through France to Sion + 15 minutes drive by car/taxi to Veysonnaz itself. At certain times of year, chartered flights do go to Sion. Parking adjacent to apartment and in multi-storey car park by gondolas. Car is not essential unless you wish to explore.

Distances:

Historic Sion, Switzerland's oldest town which is only 10km, 15 minutes away, has 2 chateaux, a cathedral and many museums. Full shopping facilities, theatre, cinema, swimming pool. Thermal baths are 30 minutes away at Saillon. Verbier can be reached by car within 1 hour, Mont Blanc within 1.5 hours and Saas Fee, Zermatt within 2 hours. If you wish to travel to Italy, Milan is just 4 hours away.
