Charming 18th century cottage converted from the Chateau Carriage Houses, overlooking the main courtyard.
Large luminous 6.5m x 6.5m living room with armchairs & sofa, French TV & video player, woodburning stove, dining area & an open plan kitchen which has oven, four hotplates, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.
Ground floor shower room and wc.
There is a small area outside for tables and chairs and parking for one car only.
There are 2 double bedrooms on the first floor, one of them having a typical Norman 'lit clos' double bed & a twin bedded mezzanine room on the top floor.
Linen & towels not available for hire in the school holidays.
The Mews is heated by electric heaters and a large Godin woodburner.
Wonderful, informal Chateau & gites built in 1751 with a safe, secluded garden in 3 acres of grounds. Ideal location for several families to holiday, hold reunions & houseparties. It is ideally situated in lovely countryside, 8km from Cherbourg and only 30 minutes from superb Gulf Stream beaches opposite Jersey. The Carriage House & Mews Cottage are both south west facing & are next to each other facing the heart shaped lawn in the main courtyard.

There is a very good choice of local restaurants nearby (a local bar serves an excellent 4 course supper for 13 euros inc. wine or cider!). A hypermarket is just 5 minutes away. There are numerous sporting and tourist activities in the area, including golf, cycling, horse-riding and water sports. The carriage house is an ideal base from which to explore Normandy or just to holiday in beautiful surroundings.
