Holiday Villa with figure of eight 9m x 6m private pool. 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6+. Situated in a secluded position offering privacy and tranquility. Beautiful beach and lots of inlet coves. 30 mins by ferry from Malta.
All three bedrooms have ensuite shower/bathrooms. Kitchen is fully equipped located next to dining room which seats six adults. Sitting room is an open plan overlooking pool area with fireplace for the cooler winter months. Cable TV with DVD and wifi internet.
Pool area has ample space for sunloungers, umbrellas and garden furniture for al fresco dining.
Ta Mananni is a beautiful house in a quiet and peaceful location but within walking distance of local shops and restaurants in Qala town square. It is also just a stone's throw from Xerri Il Bukkett, the restaurant overlooking Comino. This must be one of the most beautiful views on the island. The house itself is ideal for us because one of our party has slight mobility problems so the bedroom on the ground floor is perfect. The rest of the house is so lovely and the pool area delightful with plenty of outdoor furniture and bbq.
Raymond, the owner, is a perfect gentleman who could not look after his guests any better. We cannot praise him too highly.
There is a lot to see on the island and, because it is so small, nowhere is too far to travel. We did not hire a car this year or last, but used the services of a local taxi driver, Brian. We would not hesitate in recommending Brian. He provides a wonderful, caring service and nothing is too much trouble for him. In fact everything is "No problem"!! We believe the cost of doing this was no more expensive than hiring a car and there is obviously no problem with parking.
We have been to Gozo four times now, three of which have been to Ta Mananni so we think that speaks for itself.
Amazing villa - just what we needed, in a quiet local, amazing great sized pool & very spacious accommodation.
Raymond is super helpful before & during your stay Raymond is great to get pointers from for great things to do/see. We were also very lucky to meet Raymond face to face, a great guy.
Qala (ala) was a very peaceful village but very close to all the other villages & some of the nicest beaches I've visited.
We will be back next year - I must say that we have used some of the bigger companies for villas eg James etc & their service wasn't a patch on Raymond & Marianne's hospitality.
I'd recommend Ta Mananni with bells on, a fabulous stay 😊
We have visited both of the owners properties more than once. The house is spacious and comfortable, and well maintained. Would come again.
The owner is very helpful and accommodating. Customer service is excellent.
I would recommend this property to anyone, It is ideal for a family or friends holiday. The pool is perfect for lazing around and cooling off.
The village is only five minutes walk away. Kaputa restaurant serves very good food, and is reasonably priced. The local supermarkets have just about everything you need, and will deliver it. Bread can be bought each day from the van that comes each morning. Just at the hilltop outside the house is a good restaurant, Xerri il Buckett. It serves excellent meals, and has lovely views across the Blue Lagoon, and Comino.
The bus stop is a short two minute walk, and the Red open top bus is a good way of getting around sightseeing. Just hop on and off.
Car hire is a good way to get around, and an advantage, but not totally necessary. Naddur is a village nearby, and has a good restaurant called Anthonys, which cooks local Gozitan food. The church there is worth a visit.
The Craft village is a good place to go, but closed on Sundays. Also the restaurant at the Azure Window does a lovely Sunday lunch. Very busy but well worth the wait.
Ta Mananni is a beautiful villa in a secluded location in the lovely village of Qala. Three of us stayed there for a fortnight and had a wonderful time.
Ray, the owner, was so helpful, both in booking the villa and popping in twice to see us. We have already booked to return next year.
The villa has three lovely bedrooms, all with ensuite. One bedroom is on the ground floor so ideal if anyone has difficulty climbing stairs. It is fully equipped with everything you might need and the courtyard with pool is a brilliant area for lounging and eating.
I highly recommend this property and also the beautiful island of Gozo. There are many interesting places to visit and wonderful restaurants to eat in.
Our second visit, what a wonderful villa, hopefully we will be back again next year, thank you Raymond for looking after us so well.
We just spent the week at this Villa and it is absolutely beautiful. Even with 6 of us in it there was plenty of space. We are already looking at next year
3km (10 minute drive). Ramla l-Hamra beach is Gozo's largest sandy beach and very family friendly. Qala's Hondoq ir Rummien is a pebbly beach within a five minute drive, very lively and well sheltered with spectacular views of Comino Island across Gozo Channel. Other lovely beaches include San Blas, Xlendi Bay, Mgarr ix Xini, Xwejni and Marsalforn.
The island is easily accessible by car (30 minute ferry crossing from Malta). Transfer from Malta airport can be easily arranged as well as car hire in Gozo. Otherwise we can help out car rental from Malta Int. Airport. . As from July 2011 direct bus service from Malta Int. Airport to Cirkewwa and rest of Gozo.
Qala is within a radius of twenty minute drive to all villages in Gozo. History abounds in all corners from Neolithic times to present. Vinyards and olive produce is on a spectacular increase with a very good wine festival organised in Nadur last week-end in August. Carnival is very well organised and authentic.
Food, such as fresh bread, vegetables and fish are delivered by street vendors up to your door. There are plenty of restaurants and one, with breathtaking views of the Island of Comino and Malta, is only a two minute walk away. From Gozo, one can take a day trip to Comino Island with its spectacular Blue Lagoon. Scuba diving and cruises around the island are easily arranged with local companies. Water skiing, windsurfing, cycling walking, horse riding, jet ski, snorkelling and swimming are easily available and there are a number of historical sites to visit.
Country walks during winter months is a relaxing way to visit the Island. Our mild winters rarely see temperatures dipping below 16 degrees daytime and 12 degrees night time.
Culinary wise restaurants cater very well in Mediterranean food with fresh fish, locally grown vegetables, pasta, pizza and a vast array of meats all at very reasonable prices. Local wines and olive oil is now a growing industry where the quality is better than northern European countries due to more hours of sunshine given our lattitude position.
Wine festivals are now also very popular with the Nadur one which is organised first week end in September the most renowned.
From Easter time to end of September every town and village has its own Festa every week end which is celebrated with much funfare.
