Cortijo Naranjas is a traditional, yet modernised, secluded Spanish farmhouse, situated in Las Alpujarras, sleeping up to 8 people. It lies in over an acre of land, with a beautiful aspect and 360º mountain views. It has its own swimming pool, 4 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a large roof terrace with mountain views. There is a spacious shaded area alongside the house, which is great for alfresco dining. Both the house and the land are safe for young children and there is are swings, a rope swing, a large tree house and a trampoline. Cortijo Naranjas sits away from any other properties, but Orgiva is only 1km away by road or by foot on a quiet track, which has all necessary amenities. The property is easily reached from Málaga or Granada airports and is the perfect rustic retreat. Cortijo Naranjas offers its own special ambience, with all of the surrounding beauty and variety of this unspoilt part of Andalucía.

Tired of package holidays where you are herded onto a bus and driven to an over crowded hotel to be cooped up in 1 room and being forced to sit around a pool with red flabby brits drinking bad beer whilst watching a second rate magician and doing the Macarena? if so then why not try a villa holiday and why not make it here?
It all starts when you leave the motarway and start winding up the mountains towards Orgiva (make sure you get a car with a little power) as the further up you get the more you realize just how remote you are. The views are stunning and you will not be able to stop your self from getting out for photos but do keep your eye on the road as it is a little hairy the first couple of times!
The Villa its self its simply wonderful and private is an under statement as you are not over looked by any one and if you say that you were not tempted to skinny deep then your a liar!
It has everything you need to not even leave for a week providing you pick up provisions but there is to much to explore to do that.
It is about an hour and a half back to Malaga with all the beach's and tourist trappings that the would expect but the real Spain is right on your door step.
The nearest beach is about 30 minuets away in Salobrena and the restaurant El Penon is a must!
Orgiva its self is just a 10 minuet walk past the other villas and has everything that you need such as a supermarket, butcher, baker and a bazar that stocks just about every item known to man!
We ate at Nemesis and Pension rural both of which were good honest, simple meals served with the traditional Spanish no hurry service.
the hotel around the corner offers an "English breakfast" but do not expect tradition bacon and eggs etc as it is a wonderful interpretation of an English breakfast but uses Spanish products including asparagus and salad! it all so comes with the same service that can be interpritated as stand offish but it really is not.
So to summarize you have to understand that this a very remote place and that there are lizards, snakes and bugs etc but that only adds to its endearing charm.
Thsi villa really is stunning and you will not want to leave.
The coast is 25 minutes away.
Granada airport is 55 minutes drive, Málaga airport 75-80 minutes.

Madrid 4 hours.
All amenities close by at the town of Orgiva - supermarkets, shops, banks, post office, bars and restaurants. Lovely hotel for drinks and dining 5 minutes walk. Local activities include mountain walking, horse-riding, paragliding/parascending and mountain-biking.
