About Mary

Born in the UK, but lived in Florida since 1967.

Why Mary chose Marco Island

This property has the most beautiful water view and nothing is more relaxing than enjoying a quiet moment looking out at the water from the living room or the 60' screened patio. Visits from dolphins, manatees and watching the fish jump says it all.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Mary..we had a great time on Marco Island. The accommodations were excellent and your help with all the things to do, see and eat were greatly appreciated. We would definitely recommend you to all our friends and family. Thanks again.

Home from Home

This house ticked all our boxes. It has an excellent location being within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants, and also easy to get off Marco when it is busy to visit other Florida attractions or to access the Everglades. Beautiful waterfront view, but peaceful and not overlooked. Very accurate description, but on arrival we were surprised at how lovely it was.

Spotlessly clean and well presented, but it still felt like home! We had very poor weather but were so happy to spend time back at this house and found it really relaxing. The Hot Spring spa was a bonus when the temperature fell below freezing!

Very well equipped with lots of nice touches, toiletries, towels, enough stuff to get us going in the kitchen. Very thoughtful owners who went the 'extra mile' with us.

We'll be back!

Excellent Central location on Marco Island

  • 5 of 5

Our group of four loved the house and the location. The lanai was great and the hot tub/spa worked wonderfully. Our hosts did a great job of introducing the house and island to us. The central location offered great walkability to a variety of stores and restaurants. We docked a boat at the house and had some fun fishing, cruising and viewing dolphins throughout the week. Thanks again for a great stay!

A Little Piece of Paradise

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have stayed in Mary and Tony's lovely home during the month of March for the past two years. We loved every minute of it! The villa is comfortable, very clean and the view from the windows which line the entire back of the home is absolutely beautiful. Mary and Tony are wonderful hosts and are very accommodating. We hope to be able to stay in their home again if it becomes available.

Owner's Response: We were very fortunate to get such nice people renting from us and it was not easy to tell Mariann and Thomas that we were accepting a two month rental for the 2018 season which meant that we could not rent to them in March, 2018. They thoroughly appreciated what the house had to offer and brought down their kayaks to enjoy the access from the dock to the local waterways and the gulf. Thank you so much for the review and for the excellent way you took care of our property.

Our new Marco home-away-from-home!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at numerous good venues in Marco over the past five years, and we try someplace new each year. Tony & Mary are perfect hosts and very responsive. And while we had no issues I'm confident that should any arise they would be resolved quickly. There is a wonderful view and huge lanai with a hot tub, in a well-landscaped & private back yard. Bright and spacious living areas mean you don't mind the vagaries of weather. There is a outside porch dining table for when the weather cooperates. Home is well maintained and was clean & welcoming, along with some sweet treats and starter supplies. We loved the location and proximity to restaurants and retail. Garage and circular drive were very convenient. And the ultimate compliment -- we've already made plans to come back!

Comfortable, relaxing property in lovely location.

  • 5 of 5

As you walk through the front door of this light, airy property the first thing that strikes you is the amazing outlook - a beautiful, uninterrupted view over the water.

The living area and master bedroom are comfortable and spacious and the whole house is well-maintained and clean.

The hot tub is a real bonus.

The house also has the real advantage of beingi within walking distance of shops, restaurants and bars.

It was an ideal property for my husband and I and we would not hesitate to rent it again.

Mary and Tony are the most welcoming of hosts and are always accessible should you have any queries but are never intrusive.

Bright, cheery home on the water!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here. The home is bright, open and cheery. NIce amenities, hot tub, washer and dryer, garage. Great to sit outside and watch for dolphins and manatees. Quiet area even though on a main street close to shops and restaurants. We loved eating at Nene's, Hoots and the Sand Bar. All had great food at good prices. Convenient parking on a circular driveway. Tony and Mary were delightful hosts and made everything easy and welcoming. I highly recommend a visit here.
