About Elizabeth Maxwell

We originally purchased this property in 1996 at an auction and at that time owned half the mountain, in 2015 we purchased the remaining acreage and the cabin. We have our home on the property as well and love it! We love the privacy and convenience of living here and the beautiful views during the fall/winter months. From our mountain you can see the entire town of Cookeville and at night with the light's it's beautiful! Elizabeth is from Nashville, but came to TN Tech for college, stayed and loves it today! Nate is born and raised in Cookevlle himself. We both plan to have our 'forever' home on this mountain and to enjoy this property for our entire lives! We are very blessed and grateful to share a part our heaven with others to come and enjoy :)

We have another nightly rental property in Fairfield Glade Resort, condo style; VRBO # 1058677

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

The picture does not do the Maxwell Cabin justice. The cabin was so nice inside and out. The Maxwells left treats for our dog and snacks for us. A bottle of wine too. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept great. If we had forgotten to bring anything it wouldn't have mattered because the cabin has everything in it that you could possibly need, especially the kitchen. We had a great weekend and will definately be back.

Wonderful Hidden Gem

  • 5 of 5

We spent two weeks enjoying this hidden gem in the hills of Tennesee. The home is ten minutes to the City of Cookeville which boasts a plethora of restaurants and activities, yet the cabin is tucked away on a private 50-acre compound. The owners were exceptional, and the home was immaculate. We heartily recommend this VRBO and plan to return here in the future.

Fantastic! Loved the cabin. Very comfortable and private.

  • 5 of 5

Experience was great! The Maxwell's made us feel right at home with a welcoming message at the door, snacks, etc... One whole day of our trip was rained out but thanks to the comfortable cabin, coffee on the porch and good reading light, it was still a wonderful vacation weekend.

Cozy, clean, and hospitable.

  • 5 of 5

The photos and description do not do this cabin justice! It is cute as a button, down to the seasonal decorations. Everything was immaculately cleaned and it comes with everything you could want for a secluded getaway. I highly suggest staying here!

Perfect Weekend Escape

  • 5 of 5

I planned a weekend getaway for my sister and her bridesmaids in this LOVELY cabin, and it could not have been more perfect. It was spacious, clean, had plenty of beds, towels, and everything was simply adorable. The property is gorgeous and secluded and our host was so kind, even leaving us a little welcome gift for my sister's wedding. 10/10 recommend. We will most definitely be back!
