About Ro

I'm Ro and I'm hosting this house for my friend Mike and live right here on the block. Travels to over 40 countries, for work and leisure, have given me an appreciation that a unique & thoughtful guest home plays in the travel experience. I understand the desire to soak up the local vibe of a place without sacrificing comfort and hope that you'll recognize this approach in our guest home.

Ro purchased this house in 2015

Why Ro chose New Orleans

This home has a wonderfully elegant and yet cozy feel. It's two stories give both perfect spaces for entertaining as well as private and restful bedrooms. My friend Mike, who comes from a family of New Orleans craftsmen, completed the restoration and many of the original 19th century details were preserved adding so much character. High end appliances, luxurious bathrooms, and fine linens and furnishings make this house a one of a kind home away from home.

What makes this house unique

The home features a lovely back patio and courtyard as well as off street parking. On-street parking is also uniquely easy compared with other parts of the city.

My friends and I had a lovely time at this house which was well stocked and decorated. Loved it completely and the host was a breeze to work with and very responsive to all of my messages.

Oh my gosh!!!! For real?! Amazing

  • 5 of 5

Um wow!! Can I just say, this was the BEST rental! You can tell the landlord really cares about guests and thought of every details when decorating and stocking the house. Right down to band aids and fresh soaps. House was spotless and had so much amazing character!!! The master was so much larger than the pics. We were able to fit four people in the master (two beds were a blow up and a cot), and then two more people in the spare, comfortably.

We had a smoke detector bettery starts beeping late at night and the landlord was over immediately to assist us promptly. Throughout the rental process it was easy and communication was quick! Loved this property!!!

Lovely home! Stayed there for a week with family of five. Plenty of room to spread out. Even with two teenage girls! Centrally located- easy access to any area we wanted to go. The gated parking was a bonus. Had a great time in New Orleans and having a beautiful place to stay made it much more enjoyable!

Lovely, spacious and very clean two bedroom house near convention center

  • 4 of 5

My colleague and I stayed here for a week long conference at the convention center. We were in walking distance to the center, shops, restaurants and the French Quarter. The home is beautiful, tall ceilings, lovely open large kitchen, dining room and living room. The two bedrooms on the second floor are spacious and the master bathroom is beautiful. Ro, the host, was very helpful. Upon arrival there was a smoke detector alarm battery going off and she came to replace the battery right away. Our flight home was late in the afternoon and because there was not a guest coming in the very next day, she gave us a late checkout that was very much appreciated. The nearby Garden District was a lovely place to stroll around and is filled with nice restaurants and fun shops. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect for Wedding Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

I absolutely loved this property! I reserved this property and 2 others next door for the weekend of my wedding and it was the perfect place to get ready the day of. The home was perfect for pictures and there was more than enough room for everyone to get ready. It has so much character and the outdoor area was a plus. I would definitely stay here again. The property manager was so nice and accommodating.

Not a property for Senior Citizens because on steps. Should have said 2 occupants instead of 3. Ice maker did not work.

Nearest Airport
15.3 Miles
Louis Armstrong International Airport
Car: not necessary

Enjoy a walkable neighborhood feel with restaurants, shops and cafes lined along Magazine St. which is just one block away. The charming street car line on St Charles is a 5-10 minute walk. This is a quiet pocket of New Orleans but incredibly central to all the attractions of the Crescent City.
