Recently restored to it's turn of the century beauty, you'll enjoy a home that is full of character and original details but offers all the modern amenities that create a comfortable stay. This is a prime central location within the city for visitors and business travelers alike. A few blocks walking distance to the Warehouse District as well as shops and cafes on Magazine Street. The Garden District and French Quarter are easy to reach on foot or by car/bike.

Family Friendly: Pack-and-Play, Stroller and High Chair provided in the house. Queen size air mattress and extra linens also stored in the house and available for your use.

Attention Conventioneers! This home is so close to the Convention Center. You will love being a quick walk to a relaxing and comfortable home! By Google Maps calculation it is 0.6 mi walking distance to the main entrance (closer if you use one of the other entrances).

The house has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and the second with a full bed. An additional single air mattress can be set up to accommodate children or other guest(s) in either the master bedroom or living room.

The home is appointed with soft and luxurious linens and towels, a fully furnished kitchen, cable, wifi, and all the details to make your stay enjoyable.

We provide an independent check-in process with a coded lockbox. No need to arrange a set time to meet us but we live on the block and are available if needed!

Plentiful free street parking is available as well as a gated driveway.

About Ro

I'm Ro and I'm hosting this house for my friend Mike and live right here on the block. Travels to over 40 countries, for work and leisure, have given me an appreciation that a unique & thoughtful guest home plays in the travel experience. I understand the desire to soak up the local vibe of a place without sacrificing comfort and hope that you'll recognize this approach in our guest home.

Why Ro chose Central City/Garden District

This home has a wonderfully elegant and yet cozy feel. It's two stories give both perfect spaces for entertaining as well as private and restful bedrooms. My friend Mike, who comes from a family of New Orleans craftsmen, completed the restoration and many of the original 19th century details were preserved adding so much character. High end appliances, luxurious bathrooms, and fine linens and furnishings make this house a one of a kind home away from home.

What makes this house unique

The home features a lovely back patio and courtyard as well as off street parking. On-street parking is also uniquely easy compared with other parts of the city.

Beautiful home in a convenient location

We travel to NOLA at least once a year. Our Daughter and 3 year old Grandson joined us as we wanted to see Christmas season in New Orleans.

The home was so pretty, comfortable, and stocked with everything you could need. We were there for a week and it flew by in the blink of an eye. The location is half way between Magazine street restaurants and shopping and the French quarter.

We spent one cozy rainy day just enjoying the home and watching movies. There was the Krewe of Kringle parade, Central Park was decorated beautifully and our Grandson had a blast on all the rides.

Ro was very helpful.

Laguna Niguel CA

Beautiful home, great location

We travel to NOLA at least once a year and the lower garden district is our favorite location to stay. Equal distance to activities on Magazine or getting to the French quarter. We traveled with our daughter and 3 year old grandson, and the home worked out so well for us. Plenty of room, EVERYTHING you could need is provided. Her home is absolutely lovely, so nice to feel like a ‘local’, even if it is for a short while. We stayed for a week, and it went by in the blink of an eye. In that one week period we had 83 degree weather one day, two days later we were driving in snow!! We spent one rainy day just enjoying the home and watching movies.

This is a beautiful property with great amenities. The home was lovely and comfortable. Really nice backyard where we enjoyed relaxing after our conference. Remember that the city is noisy and the home is close to highway, which makes it easy to get around. You are so close to walking to everything. We walked to French Quarter, Magazine Street, St. Charles Streetcar, Natchez boat cruise, and Convention Center. Perfect location. There was nothing missing in the home for use and comfort. Ro has really thought of everything and is the perfect host! You will really enjoy this place. SO MUCH BETTER AND MORE PEACEFUL THAN A HOTEL!

Comfortable and easy to get around town

This is a great spot to stay in New Orleans. Quite but with plenty around in walking distance. We were in town are a conference at the convention center and that is 10 minutes away by foot. House itself seems grand by first impression but quickly feels comfortable. Little back deck space it a great bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful LGD Home

This house was very comfortable for our family during our stay in NOLA. The Master bedroom was really nice, and the second bedroom was adjacent to a second bathroom. Our adult son slept on an enormous air bed downstairs, and was very comfortable too. The house had all the amenities we needed and was close to a number of really nice walkable restaurants, and the WW2 Museum. The owner was very responsive to our questions, and her recommendations were great (thanks Ro!). We generally used Uber to get around and didn't have concerns about safety.

Enjoy a walkable neighborhood feel with restaurants, shops and cafes lined along Magazine St. which is just one block away. The charming street car line on St Charles is a 5-10 minute walk. This is a quiet pocket of New Orleans but incredibly central to all the attractions of the Crescent City.
