Great house - Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Washington DC. This house was about a $7.00 Uber ride to all the sights, so great location. Right in the neighborhood was a Whole Foods, CVS and Starbucks as well as some little dining places. The house is very pretty and super clean. Good separation for all couples and lots of privacy with a bath for each bedroom. House was very well stocked in the kitchen and baths. Would stay here again. Thanks for making our stay so great.

Great location, beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

This property is perfect. Completely up to date, nicely furnished like a home instead of a rental. The kitchen has every appliance, dishes for 12+, and even some spices and condiments to make dining in easy. The location is outstanding: only a mile from the Capitol, a bikeshare station by the front door, a grocery 50 steps away, drug store 100 steps, and plenty of restaurants and bars. The owner's agent is very helpful.

Great House for a large group

  • 5 of 5

This was a beautiful home that is in very good shape. Great separation for all the bedrooms and private baths. Plenty of supplies for the kitchen, newer appliances and looks like a decorator was here. Location was good about 15 min ($8. uber to downtown and all the sights). Parking was a great savings for us since we did not need a car once we arrived. Grocery, CVS and Starbucks right around the corner. Would stay again.

Wow!! Did we have a wonderful time in Washington DC!

  • 5 of 5

Nine members of our family enjoyed an 8 day stay at Urbane Hill House. The hosts thought of everything down the last detail to make us feel comfortable. Home is clean, nicely decorated, well appointed & has super location! Only 1/2 block to Whole Foods store & a trolley that runs to train station where you can catch the tour buses. Also it is an easy walk to capital building & museums. I would recommend "Hill House" to anyone thinking of traveling to DC.

Place on the Hill was Great

  • 5 of 5

The house was great - clean and in good order. We had 9 adults and a baby, and had plenty of space for everyone. There is also secure parking in the rear which was great. The neighborhood was great with easy shopping and restaurants to walk to. Close walking distance to Union Station for trains and tour buses. Short Uber to downtown nightlife. Would highly recommend!

Great Location and Convenient

  • 5 of 5

It's a pretty modern space with a good amount of bathrooms for a large number of people. The location is great with a supermarket, city bike rentals, coffee shops, and late night food runs, all within walking distance. Besides the location, the rooms were quite nice, despite each of them having different amenities from one another. They all had their charm. But really the bathroom in the main bedroom has a skylight that just blows my mind. It provided natural sunlight great for doing your make up in the morning. The balcony in the room also has a better view with a small table and chair to enjoy coffee in the morning. The Minnesota room is the best room in the house . Nonetheless the bedrooms and bathrooms are just for sleeping and general hygiene, so you're not suppose to spend all your time in your room! As other reviewers have mention the nightlights are a good touch to keep you from hurting oneself in the dark. The living room and kitchen are amazing though. The string lights sprung across the living room creates a nice ambiance and cozy spot for late night talks. The kitchen has the essentials you need to cook what you want and then some. The marble counter-top island is every chefs' dream and preparing meals is a cinch. There were no problems with the hot water with that many bathrooms and sinks; and the central air cooling works well enough to keep the whole house cool. I wish there was a thermostat on each floor, but that just me being lazy and its location on the second floor right after the first floor stair landing is a great spot. If I were to give one critique about house, it would be their living room layout. IMO, while there was enough space for everyone to sit, it just wasn't good to watch tv together or talk to everyone. The room set up is great for multiple small groups conversation. I would've prefer a much larger area for every one to be involved in the same discussion. Though thinking about it, you work with what you got to try to create an open space for your guest while minimizing congested walking areas, and you succeeded in that. All in all, because of its pricing and location, it was well worth it. My group and I recommend this spot to anyone and I'll be sure to spend my next vacation here. It's a beautiful home with everything you ever needs right there.
