About Rick Emens (RB) License no.: RB-15258
I traveled much of the world and found myself on Kauai in 1979. I knew the minute I arrived that I was home. I continued to vacation on Kauai yearly and finally decided to move to Kauai full time in 1986. I moved to the mainland in 2010 to explore the U.S., but It wasn't long before I realized that there's no place like Kauai and came back "home".
Rick Emens (RB) License no.: RB-15258 purchased this Condo in 2015

Great location and thoughtful condo amenities. Would use again. Thank you for a wonderful honeymoon stay.
Good location for what we wanted to do
It's conveniently located for what we wanted to do. We walked down to the quiet part of the Anini Beach and snorkeled ; it was relaxing. The place is well maintained and kitchen supplies are good and convenient. Good place to stay
Great location, very clean and comfortable. We had a fantastic time in Princeville and would recommend Rick as a host to everyone.
RICK IS THE REAL DEAL
My boyfriend and I had such a great stay at Rick's that we're still thinking about his place even back home!
The check-in/check-out process was easy. His place was accurate to the photos he posted above and was actually more spacious than it looks. The 3 steps down to a comfortable living area and kitchen around the corner wall make the space much bigger than it seems. There was no A/C but with the multiple fans and open windows/doors, the place kept very cool. On our rest days, we just kept the sliding doors open and enjoyed the peaceful and serene Hawaiian breeze while laying on the couch. Also, his amenities were out of this world. We never felt like we were missing anything!
The location is also very close to a Foodland grocery store so we never fell short of poke bowls, guava juice, and much-needed sunscreen. Princeville, in general, is a nicer, safer neighborhood and so his place was a very short drive to Hanalei Bay, Anini Beach, and Queen's Bath.
Rick really came through and it was evident that he put a lot of thought into the space. We kept being amazed at how much the place had to offer. He was very kind and extremely accommodating. We will DEFINITELY stay here again if we're ever back in Kauai!
Thanks again Rick! (:
Aloha Sarah, Thank you so much for your review and stay. It’s rewarding and gratifying to hear that you enjoyed your time on Kauai and the condo fulfilled your needs and expectations. I too hope you’ll be returning soon. All the best. A hui hou. Aloha.
Great place to stay in Princeville.
I really enjoyed to stay in this place. I have rented properties around Princeville in Kauai several times before and this was the nicest place to stay in this price range. The condo was very clean, it has a modern well-equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom with a strong shower, and everything needed for comfortable stay was provided. In general it is a pretty peaceful location, sometimes there was some road noise (that is probably expected of every property around this region), and sometimes neighbors can be heard if they are not quiet; the very positive thing about the place though is that there was no rooster close by, so I was never disturbed by it (Roosters are the major "noise hazard" in Kauai, and often were very close in other places I stayed in Kauai before). Overall, I really liked the property.
It’s really gratifying to hear that you enjoyed your time here and the unit lived up to your expectations. I want to thank you for being one of the tidiest guests I’ve ever had. I really appreciate it and hope you’ll consider staying in Hale Anuenue on your next visit. A hui hou!
A nice, inexpensive option
Overall we were very happy with this little unit. It is well situated with easy access to stores and restaurants as well as many beaches. It has pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay and we appreciated the access to a washer and dryer in the unit. My only complaints are that the unit smells a bit damp and mildewy. I imagine this is pretty common in such a humid tropical environment and really wasn't an issue. The unit is a little noisy. You can hear the road as well as neighbors in near by units. There was a female resident who was outside on numerous occasions yelling at a lawn maintenance guy. She was really rude to him and hit him repeatedly on the arm. This shouldn't reflect poorly on the unit but unfortunately it was part of the overall experience.
Kauai's famous North Shore offers something for everyone who loves outdoor activity. Within minutes you can find activities such as golf, tennis, walk/jog paths, snorkeling, horseback riding, zip lining, mini-golf, beautiful botanical gardens, hidden beaches and much, much more!
