The Hayloft is one of the gites at Lesnen Manor. Both Ecurie and The Hayloft have been converted from the large old stable and barn. The Hayloft is on one side of the indoor pool with Ecurie on the other. Both completely independent.
The Hayloft overlooks a little lake with ducks and a black swan. It has a large gravelled garden with chairs and table for eating out. Deckchairs, lounger and BBQ are there for your pleasure. You park close to your gite and the play ground for children is not far away with swings and trampoline. You are welcome to walk around our grounds and see Paco the donkey , two mini ponies, several Kune Kune pigs, sheep and a happy group of goats!!

Wonderful 2 weeks , so much to do in the surrounding area and chilled out days on the farm!
Staying with two girls (ages 6 and 9) - we actually got some time to relax. They happily wandered off to play with the animals (often supervised by Jenny), with the toys (including trampoline) or with children who were also staying on site. They loved the pool and we were really surprised how many wonderful places there were to visit near by. My 6 year old loved her pony ride.
We stayed during a beautiful week - but did find the accommodation was dark (neat and clean but little windows on the ground floor) and I began to crave natural light. There is probably nothing that can be done about this as the accommodation was characterful (converted hay loft). Jenny and Jacques were friendly and helpful - a really lovely visit.
Had a fantastic week, good location for sightseeing and beaches. The gite itself is lovely, the pictures don't do it justice! Jenny and Jacque were great hosts.
We spent a week here in early September with friends and family and booked Ecurie and Aragon. Jenny and Jacques were the great hosts and the place was perfect for our needs. We had three small children with us and they loved the animals, playground and swimming pool. It felt very safe for them.
There are plenty of things to do within a short driving distance, Dinan, the port of Dinan, Dinard and the beaches are all fab, the local chateau/zoo is a great day out with the kids and Le Col Vert is a must visit restaurant.
We loved it so much that we have already booked our return trip next year.
We really enoyed our stay at the Hayloft. The animals on the property were definitely a highlight (although careful if you're scared of mice! This is the countryside so they are about). The Hayloft itself was warm and comfortable, a lot better equipped than we'd expected and any problems (not that we really had any) were quickly addressed by Jenny and Jacques. The pool was great. Saint Thual itself doesn't have much to offer but the surrounding towns offer some interesting places to explore such as St Malo and Combourg. There are some great places to eat close by if you want to eat out. We didn't get to do much of the walking/cycling etc because we were plagued by bad weather the week we went- still had a great time though- and imagine there would be some good areas to go walking in, cycling or canoeing. The only thing we could possibly complain about would be the cockerals.... the crowing was every minute, but by the end we'd pretty much stopped noticing.
Overall, this holiday gave us exactly what we needed- a week of blobbing about away from the city with some interesting sojourns to places like Mont St Michel, Bayeux and Combourg.
After eleven hours of driving the Dutch family from Germany finally found Lesnen Petits Bois. We came here because of a business trip and stayed at The Hayloft. Friday my husband went to Nantes and came home late because of a flat tyre. Our son (4) and daughter (almost 2) didn’t complain about staying at home. They loved the animals and the space around here. And also the swimming pool. Saturday we drove the marvellous tour Route de la Baie. We enjoyed the spectacular views and the nice weather. Sunday it was rainy. Because of the rain we made a tour by car through Dinan; it felt like England and not bad at all!
We will thank Jenny and Jacques for the great hospitality and we hope we’ll see each other back again!
We – a family of four from Germany with two boys aged 4 und 7 – enjoyed two eventful weeks at this nice and lovely place. The hayloft was cosy and very well equipped. The children had a lot of place to play and built. The floor heating made it even more comfortable.
The pool had a warm temperature and we had fun. We all, especially the children, liked the animals. Almost every day we bought carrots and apples to feed the goats, pigs, donkeys and horses.
Jenny and Jacques made us feel home. Again thank you very much for this enjoyable holiday.
The place is a good starting point for many destinations around. Within an hour drive you can reach e.g. Rennes, St. Malo - with the aquarium - and the wonderful coast of Cap Frehel, castles and ruins of such like Combourg, Château Bourbansais, Château Hunaudaye, Château Josselin. Also worth a visit are the towns of Vitre and Dinan. A highlight is Le Mont St. Michel.
We found a big supermarket on our way to Dinan. It is half an hour drive. Maybe there are others as well but this one was us a good choice.
Even a few weeks later we do not remember anything what would be worth to criticize.
