stop looking...... THIS is the perfect place!

  • 5 of 5

You won't find a better place to stay in Salzburg than this!

We spent 5 nights here , with our 2 sons (ages 12, 15). we had PLENTY of room, and the boys loved all the space to relax in, after spending a week in hotel rooms. Michaela provides everything you could possibly need, including laundry soap (much appreciated). She is also very kind and welcoming, and shared lots of tips for things to do, places to eat etc. She had also recently installed a portable a/c unit which very quickly cooled down the apartment. It is very difficult to find air conditioned rentals, so this was a bonus!!

Salzburg was amazing, so much to do. We enjoyed the 20 minute walk to town every day and took several tours offered of the surrounding attractions. (Eagle's Nest, Salt Mines). Plenty to fill your days in this beautiful city!

We have rented many properties through VRBO, and I do not hesitate to say that this is an exceptional one. Stop looking at other properties and book this one!! Thank you Michaela for making our time in Salzburg so very special.

Comfortable and convenient to everything

  • 5 of 5

We had a beautiful stay at Michaela and Wolfgang's home. They provided everything we needed for our week long stay. The train station, restaurants, and grocery stores are all very close and a short walk along the river gets you to the old town in no time. We can't wait to go back and hope to stay again!

Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

Michaela was a wonderful, warm and caring host. The apartment was perfect for our family of 5, with lots of room to stretch out in after a long day of sightseeing. The beds and linens were very comfortable, and you really got a good night's rest with the window shades. It was really like staying in a friend's home as the kitchen was stocked with the basics if you wished to cook, and little homey touches truly made our stay a home away from home. The location was great too as it is so close to buses and the train station. If in Salzburg, we will definitely stay again. Thank you Michaela!

Very clean and well equipped large apartment in great location

  • 4 of 5

This apartment served our family of three really well during our visit to Salzburg. We loved being able to walk to old town, new town, or the train/bus station easily. You do not need a car if you stay here, but we had one to get to Salzburg and being able to park in the host's garage was a real luxury. Michaela's standard parking rate is very reasonable. Having a grocery store within the bus station that stayed open much later than all the other markets in Salzburg was really convenient. The kitchen was much better equipped than many apartments we have rented, allowing us to cook breakfast every day and dinner twice during our four-night stay. The Chinese restaurant Michaela recommended was an excellent spot for one of our dinners. It was really helpful to have a clothes washer/dryer and a dishwasher in the apartment. It was very pleasant to wake up to happy birds chirping every day, a result of the lovely garden outside. Having the two nooks (one with loveseat, one with twin bed) was nice to come home to after being out and about all day. It was nice to have a quiet oasis away from all the tourist hustle and bustle of old and new town, but still be within a 7-15 minute walk to everything. If you will be there for at least two full days, you should get a Salzburg card. We got 72-hour cards for our visit and they paid for themselves 3 times over what we spent for them. One thing we probably would not have done without the Salzburg card was the Untersberg Cable Car, which turned out to be a highlight of our trip. We did that first thing in the morning, catching bus 25 from the train station (it's the last stop). After it, we took bus 25 back to the Zoo and after that walked over the Hellbrun Palace. It was a full day but it was worth it. If you are Catholic and in Salzburg on a Sunday, you must go to the 10am mass at the Cathedral. It is like attending a Mozart concert while at mass. It was amazing. If you have a car, it is worth it to drive over to Hallstat, a medieval town on a lake that is surreal. We went to many of the other sites in Salzburg and this apartment was a perfect home base for the trip. We highly recommend it.
