The apartment El Ancla is located at the old fishing harbor of Puerto del Carmen, very quiet apartment complex in El Rincon with community pool. From the large terrace you have an excellent view of the harbor, in 2 minutes you get to the pier on the Create fishermen and offer various excursion boats trips.

In the port you will find great restaurants and a still original atmosphere. For the near Playa Chica you can walk in 5 minutes. The beach is popular for many fish that can be seen there especially when divers and snorkelers. For Playa Grande, the 2 km long sandy beach can also come on foot and without parking problems in just 10 minutes.

El Ancla is a perfect base to explore this really interesting island. Really nice you can Lanzarote even know of its traditional side here, away from the high rise hotels and mass tourism. Wifi is included.

Lovely little holiday apartment

Excellent customer service from Christian. Prompt and helpful replies through the booking process, and always keen to assist with any issues once we arrived.

Lovely sunny terrace, and pretty views. The kitchen equipment is a bit basic, but then you`ll probably be eating out at one of the excellent local restaurants!

Comfortable and relaxing

We had a lovely week in the apartment. The terrace is lovely and spacious with fabulous sea view. Easy walk down to the boardwalk at the harbour and all the restaurants. Convenient supermarket nearby. The apartment was spacious for 2 and I think you could easily have another adult or a couple of children in the small second bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment had nice modern decor. We hope to visit again.

Clean and modern. Great balcony area with sea views.

The owner was fantastic. I lost my mobile phone en route and Christian was extremely helpful and responsive.

Modern facilities, secure and tastefully furnished.

Great view of the harbour from the huge terrace area.

Excellent location for couples and small families

We stayed for five nights in June 2013. The apartment is amazingly located... any frequent visitors to the old town in Pto del Carmen will recognise the view of the pool from the pictures immediately. The apartment is very close to that famous zig-zag walkway that forms the start of the cliff walk to Puerto Calero.

The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, clean and well supplied with accessories. There are two good size bedrooms, one twin and one double. We used the twin bedroom for storage and this worked out great leaving us with a very spacious double bedroom!

The terrace with its views of the harbour is stunning!! I cannot put into words how amazing it is11 It is the biggest terrace on the small complex which comprises only of about a dozen other apartments. It doesn't even feel like a complex as all the apartments all face out to sea, and have a very private feel about them.

The pool is nice, albeit a bit weathered and the views from there are just as great. There is a wee walk down to the rocks were you can swim from too.

The old town is only a short stroll away and the recent addition of a promenade makes the walk even more enjoyable.

Good nearby restaurants include La Bodega for Tapas, Montemarte (near the Biosfera) and the new Tapas restaurant just across the harbour from Casa Roja, which is also very nice.

We rented a car and although the street outside can get full at times, there are plenty of spaces nearby. If it's your first time to Lanzarote and you are comfortable driving, renting a car is a great way to see the volcanos and some hidden gems (Los Hervideros near the small town of El Golfo is stunning)

Christian is brilliant, very attentive and aware of guests needs. We will 100% recommend this apartment to our friends and we will hopefully stay again. We were hoping to go again in March next year and I can already see that it is booked out!!! ..This shows how popular this apartment is getting! If it's free on your dates I urge anyone to book it if they are looking for picturesque, affordable and quiet surroundings only a short stroll from all the action!!

Lovely Modern Apartment

Looking for that warm winter break we found this lovely modern aparment in a quiet area of Puerto Del Carmen situated in the old town overlooking the harbour.

We really loved the very large outside terrace,with the choice of sunloungers or table and chairs &sun brolly we where spoilt.

Inside the apartment there is a compact kitchen area with everything you need from fridge ,hob, microve and toaster etc.

Bathroom was bright and very clean with lovely shower but could do with a few more towels (pointed this out to owner and he appreciated the feed back).

Both bedrooms where really comfotable with ample wardrobe space.

For eating out there are lots of restaurants in the area .Our favourite being Marios situated behind the apartment at the top of the steps in the Tropical Centre where there are also a few nice bars.

We would recommend this apartment to couples and also to family with small children.

We normally return to Lanzarote every year and would definatly book this apartment again .
