Best bet in Bloomsbury!
We spent a wonderful week here this past June. The location was perfect. We were a few minutes from the Russell Square tube station and a short walk to the British Museum. A quick elevator ride down to the concourse brought us to an excellent supermarket, cafes, and shops. The neighborhood and adjacent park were very nice and felt safe. Lunch at Balfour's (recommended by Kierion) was just the beginning of what proved to be a great holiday. Never having rented a vacation property before, we were unsure what to expect. We were very delighted with the flat...it was comfortable, spacious, and very bright and airy as described. Because the weather was uncommondly dry and warm, we enjoyed coffee every morning on the lovely terrace. In the evenings, we enjoyed a bottle of wine (courtesy of the owner) with dinner. The bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen were all larger than we expected. Having a computer and a washer/dryer were welcome extras. If you're looking for a comfortable and convenient flat at very reasonable rates, this is definitely your best bet in Bloomsbury! Thankyou, Kierion!
Spacious apartment in Russell Square
My family and I stayed at this spacious apartment while staying in London. We were greeted at the Underground station by Robin and escorted to the apartment. We arrived prior to check in time, and were able to leave our luggage while Robin finished cleaning the apartment. We enjoyed the location of this apartment and its amenities while staying in London. We would certainly rebook this apartment on our next visit to London. Thank you!
Ideal location for London stay.
Firstly, Kieron could not have been more accommodating- he let us drop our bags off at 11:00am and allowed us to check out late as our train home wasn’t until late afternoon. The flat is as described, above a small shopping centre with a decent sized Waitrose. This was great for buying our provisions as it was less than a minute’s walk away.
The flat itself is well laid out with large bedrooms and our party of 3 adults and 3 children had plenty of room. It is ‘lived in’ so we were able to relax and make ourselves at home.
I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that bits and bobs in the flat were more shabby than chic. For example, one of the drawers in the chest in the bedroom was falling apart. These things could be easily put right to make this a really super home from home - but then Keiron could charge more and we wouldn’t be able to afford it!
Great location !!
Stayed over Xmas 2017. Had a lovely stay and great location to getting into town. Deceptively spacious too.
Great location, well equipped, not luxurious but completely functional.
The cement inner facade could be off-putting, but once in the apartment, everything was cozy. The kitchen had every implement or appliance needed. The main room has a green house effect plus two large sofas, a large TV, and a door to a small veranda. The two bedroom also have doors to the veranda. These bedrooms also have chairs that could convert to beds. I'm not sure how many the host will allow, and we were only three adults; but the apartment could sleep a family of five or six. As mentioned, the door to the apartment opens onto a cement jungle, but then exits to either to the elegant door 6 or to a small shopping mall with a great grocery store, several boutiques and interesting fast food outlets, two or three good restaurants and a movie theater. Key for us, was two blocks to Russel Square underground and five minutes to the British Museum. As I said not luxurious, but I would recommend it to any of my friends who are all professionals: college teachers, doctors, lawyers or wives of.
