I am a degree professional (mechanical engineering as well as nutrition science) with a variety of passions and interests. In addition to a 'corporate' engineering career, I have worked in the natural foods industry (various roles over several years at a food co-op), nutritional counseling, and residential construction and interior design. For the past few years, I have been dedicated to the design/build of Green Gate Guest Houses- three unique lodging properties on my 13 acre homestead. I have a passion for all areas of construction, design, technology, sustainable living, renewable energy, etc., and enjoy putting ideas into action through the myriad of projects I always have going! I enjoy nature, outdoors, exercise (running, hiking, cycling, skiing, etc), as well as the culture and arts of the city. I've traveled domestically and internationally, and value the insight gained from experiencing new cultures. I often bring back design ideas that are eventually incorporated into various projects around the property. Nepal is the next great destination on my bucket list. Having operated my vacation rental properties for Several years now, I have been fortunate to host such a variety of wonderful guests. Everyone that has stayed here has been a pleasure to get to know, and I look forward to all our future guests.

The Villa affords my guests opportunities not possible at the other Green Gate Guest Houses. Not only is The Villa more spacious (comfortably accomodating up to 12 guests), it also includes more resort-like amenities (sauna, outdoor hot tub, close proximity to dining & entertainment). Guests enjoy views and access to the beautiful Wynne Lake to the east, and direct access to the Giants Ridge alpine and Nordic trails to the west, making this a very unique vacation experience.

We have been to this location several times, and this was our first time at this particular property. They sauna was nice, but the hot tub did not function properly (very poor jet propulsion). The main door lock malfunctioned, so we could not get in one afternoon until the property manager came and opened it for us. This took about 1 hour. However, the manager was very friendly and helpful, and we have no complaints in regards to them.

Beautiful views of the lake out back and nice cabin like decor in every room.
Lots of activities to do, beautiful area. We loved the cabin, but the living room and kitchen was small for our group of 6 adults and 6 children. We loved the ski lift, the lake, and the pool and hot tubs.
The was great with a lot of room and amenities.

Unit is nicely located, close to the ski hill. Ample room for all 10 of us. Unit included a hot tub and sauna, super appreciated after a day on the slopes. Owner was very responsive.
