This property and owners are the best that we have been to so far. William and Susie are the sweetest people, attending to every detail! William and Susie keep the property in immaculate condition, not a stone or blade of grass unkept! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful place to stay
The owners are great. The place is beautiful. Everything you need is there. The only bad thing about staying there is having to leave.
Thank you for the wonderful review, enjoyed having you stay hope you'll come back soon.
A lovely spot
The Laurel Thicket cabin was perfect for my two day creative retreat. Very clean and thoughtfully furnished with what you'll need. The property is owned and loving cared for by a retired couple, who earnestly seem to do this for the fun and the company. The Johnsons are very hospitable but also give you space. I'd go back. There are two other cabins, one smaller, one larger--I'd choose the larger if I were bringing family. A couple can do well at 'Laurel Thicket' provided that you're using it as a home base for Blue Ridge explorations. The location is right off the Parkway, which is convenient, and it's only a couple miles from 52 and Fancy Gap center (with some nice local food and shopping).
I put 4 stars for the location because you have to go quite a ways to get to any of the main Blue Ridge sites or to go hiking, which I found a little odd. I did try hiking at Devil's Den, which is off Old Appalachian Trail Rd. It was an experience, but I don't think I'd recommend it.
Thank you so much for staying and our first review. We do hope you will come back again.
