The historic architecture and the quiet location of the Finca will be a guarantee for an unforgettable holiday experience! Both Manacor is the second largest town on the island with its many shops and to Porto Cristo with many very good Restaurantes You are only a few minutes on the road. The best day for a trip to Manacor is the market day Monday. The big market is a real shopping market in particular for clothing, household goods and food. The prices are reasonable. Also ceramics and olive products are offered at the weekly market and the surrounding markets.
Manacor, in eastern Mallorca is the second largest city of the island. Dennoc is the city with good 30th 000 residents about 10 times smaller than Palma. Compared to the capital is a small provincial town Manacor, but that has its charms. The city has remained largely untouched by mass tourism. In the old, originally acting city with well-designed pedestrian areas, Catalan is still the predominant language. Interesting is the great church of Nuestra Senyora dels Dolors with the 80 meter high tower. The Kriche itself is unfortunately only open in the morning to visit.
About Mallorca, the city is known for several products: the faux pearls, furniture, ceramics and olive wood products from Manacor. Visit the pearl factory should be just outside the city. You drive past it when you come out of Palma. The beads are made from fish scales and see real pearls confusingly similar from. Unfortunately, even the faux pearls are not cheap. Also interesting, and not to be overlooked is of exhibition and sales building 'Olive-type' for olive wood products.
Connections: Manacor is the central transportation hub in eastern Mallorca. Buses run approximately every hour to Porto Cristo and Palma. There are also many bus connections to Cala Millor, Cala Ratjada, Inca, Cales de Mallorca and other places in the east of Mallorca. Cheaper and more interesting to Palma and Inca is the journey by rail. Every hour a train to Palma de Mallorca through Inca. The fare is to Palma at 4 euros and is thus about 2 euros cheaper than the bus.
