Located at the market-place of the main-place Victoria, just nearby the "Golden Basilica of St.Georges" are these two, very special and private apartments with Air Conditioning - one on the 1st floor and the Penthouse on the 2nd and 3rd floor; both with beautiful balconies. From there you can watch the lively square by a delicious bottle of Maltese red wine!
Shops, banks, Restaurants and Bars are within a stone's throw distance. Next sandy beach (Ramla Bay) is approx. 6km.
Since 17 years now, we mediate holiday accomodations on Malta & Gozo. Since 2014 my daughter Steffi is also "on board". In all questions to your planned holidays, we are pleased to advise and help you. All accomodations we know personally and will meet the lessors / partners yearly in Malta. A faithful and personal contact with you, as with our partners is very important for us.
Everything about our stay in this outstanding Victoria penthouse apartment was simply perfect. For starters, the property’s agent, Stefan, organized our booking and transfers to and from Gozo with the utmost detail and efficiency. My wife and I enjoyed every minute of our 10 night stay in this clean, comfortable, and well equipped home. The flat’s central location could not have been any better and its stunning views from the rooftop deck above St. Georges Square overlooking the famous Cittadella and the Cathedral provided a wonderful backdrop to the constant ebb and flow of people either boutique shopping or enjoying the assortment of outdoor cafes and restaurants in the piazza below. Ted, the owner, was an incredible host. Upon our arrival, he immediately greeted us and provided help with our baggage. He also left an assortment of food in the kitchen, and gave us a helpful tour of the city once we were settled in. Throughout our time on Gozo, he was a constant source of valuable information on the many landmarks and special places to visit and explore. Our month long Malta experience was a dream come true and our stay in Ted’s beautiful apartment was definitely one of the trip’s many highlights. I would highly recommend this property to anyone without hesitation.
We stayed in this apartment for one week in April. First off, let me say that Ted, the landlord is very helpful and attentive, making sure you have everything you need. He gave us a tour of the city and also dedicated time during his week to shows some very special things in Victoria. The apartment itself is wonderful. Bright, sunny beautiful with great views and flowers and deck. The spiral staircase was not a problem for us but might be for some. Ted helped us get our luggage up the stairs. The apartment is right in the city central square and so it is lively, bells ringing a lot at all hours and voices from the square. I found it to be stimulating and the feeling of being right in the center of life. The apartment is very conveniently located, close to everything. The one problem we had was that we rented a car and wished we had not. Driving was very difficult for us. There was a lot of construction, roads closed, one way streets, etc. We got lost a lot. We used the car only two days and the rest of the time took buses which were far easier and perfect. I would not recommend renting a car.
We rented this apartment for 6 nights, over the week between Christmas and New Year's. The location, in the center of Victoria, is fantastic. Even though in the middle of a pedestrian square, free public parking is only a 5 minute walk. This was important for us as we had a rental car. The apartment sleeps 4, with a double bed and fold-out futon. The apartment is 2 stories, with the bedroom on the 3rd floor of the building, and the kitchen and adjacent roof terrace are 1 floor up. The kitchen is well-stocked (with kitchen tools), and there are local food markets and green grocers only minutes away. We made use of that for dinner "at home" 2 out of the 6 nights, though the apartment is a short walk to many good dining options in Victoria. Ted the landlord is extremely attentive and helpful, and very easy to be in contact with. Also, the location of Victoria on the island of Gozo, almost dead center, means everything to see and do on the island is less than a 30 minute drive. There are also 2 Hop On-Hop Off bus companies, plenty of taxis and public buses, if you choose to go without a rental car.
Unfortunately, it just so happened we were there in what was Malta's worst weather in almost 100 years, so we were unable to utilize the rooftop terrace as much as we would have liked!
The single caveat is that the only way upstairs is via a narrow spiral staircase, which is a challenge with luggage. However, Ted is more than happy help with moving bags up and down the stairs, and the view from up top is quite nice, and worth the climb for sure.
We would definitely stay here again, but maybe a different time of year, such as spring or autumn!

Victoria (in Maltese ir-Rabat) is the capital town of this beautiful neighbor Island, Gozo. The name Victoria (ir-Rabat), was given to the medieval town of Gozo in 1887 in honour of the famous British Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations. At the same instance, the town was also raised to the status of a city; then officially known as Citta' Victoria.
The centre of the capital city of Gozo is Pjazza Indipendenza, known as it-Tokk. The square is dominated by the Banca Giuratale, built between 1733 and 1738, formerly the seat of the municipal government of Gozo and presently of the Victoria Local Council. In the mornings, there is an open market that shares the square with several open air cafes.
The magnificent St.George's Basilica is located just nearby in the same square of this old town. The cobweb of narrow streets around St. George's Basilica are the oldest in town and are worth a walkaround.
