Lovely place to stay
This place was clean, in a great neighborhood and no hassles.
We don't need more to be happy
Perfect place, sparkling clean, the bed is phenomenal, location is exceptional with F and G trains literarily down the building and lucien, a magical host. 5 starts indeed
+ location close to the Subway to Manhattan, JFK and Coney Island, adequate studio with fine kitchen, good restaurants on walking distance. Easy communication with the owner, he really helps you with everything!!
- bathroom needs a good update, matras needs to be replaced, difficult to stay on your side ...rolling towards the middle, lot of noise in the early mornings because of the unloading trucks..tip: close windows and airco on!
Overall it was a fine place for a 4 day stay in NY
Thank you Wouter for staying at my place and for your review. I just want to add some comments in order to make it a bit more fair and honest: we have kept the original 1930 bathroom on purpose, because it's rare now, and it's part of the history of Brooklyn. So yes, it's not a standard Ikea bathroom. I will go inspect the mattress, since you are the first person to complain about and change it if needed. About the noise, Boerum Hill and Bergen street are particularly calm. It 6.41am now and I can hear the bird tweeting. But yes we are still in NYC, one of the busiest city in the world and trucks need to unload to provide "good restaurants on walking distance" you mention on your review. Last point, it's a pity you forgot to mention in your review how responsive I was to all your requests (assisting you to open the lock box, printing your tickets for a show and bring them at the studio, storage your luggage after check out, etc etc). Almost a 5 stars hotel service. Best regards
Great place and location
Good size studio with everything you need. Great location.
Mattress and pillows could use an upgrade. My only complaint
Thank you for your review. We will make sure to upgrade the bed and pillow asap.
A perfect stay
Truly elegant, super clean, and comfortable, a perfect place for vacation or business. I really enjoyed the lively neighborhood and the subway just down the building. Lucien has been a great host as well. Cant wait to return!
Great location, place was as advertised
We had a wonderful time in New York City and Brooklyn. This was a great home base for us. It’s close enough to walk to Manhattan over the Brooklyn bridge. The place was clean and as advertised. The owner was wonderful to deal with.
